Abstract Background: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) play an important role in angiogenesis, immune response, inflammatory response and tumor development and metastasis. m6 A (N6 - methyladenosine) is one of the most common RNA modifications in eukaryotes. The aim of our research was to investigate the potential prognostic value of m6A-related lncRNAs in ovarian cancer (OC).Methods: The data we need for our research was downloaded from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Pearson correlation analysis between 21 m6A regulators and lncRNAs was performed to identify m6A-related lncRNAs. Univariate Cox regression analysis was implemented to screen for lncRNAs with prognostic value. A least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) Cox regression and multivariate Cox regression analyses was used to further reduct the lncRNAs with prognostic value and construct a m6A-related lncRNAs signature for predicting the prognosis of OC patients. Results: 275 m6A-related lncRNAs were obtained using pearson correlation analysis. 29 m6A-related lncRNAs with prognostic value was selected through univariate Cox regression analysis. Then, a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature was identified by LASSO Cox regression. Each patient obtained a riskscore through multivariate Cox regression analyses and the patients were classified into high-and low-risk group using the median riskscore as a cutoff. Kaplan-Meier curve revealed that the patients in high-risk group have poor outcome. The receiver operating characteristic curve revealed that the predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature for OC was powerful. The predictive potential of the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was successfully validated in the GSE9891, GSE26193 datasets and our clinical specimens. Multivariate analyses suggested that the m6A-related lncRNAs signature was an independent prognostic factor for OC patients. Moreover, a nomogram based on the expression level of the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was established to predict survival rate of patients with OC. Finally, a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network associated with the seven m6A-related lncRNAs was constructed to understand the possible mechanisms of the m6A-related lncRNAs involed in the progression of OC.Conclusions: In conclusion, our research revealed that the m6A-related lncRNAs may affect the prognosis of OC patients and identified a seven m6A-related lncRNAs signature to predict the prognosis of OC patients.

This study aimed to identify the learning methods based on the flipped classroom model among UPSI’s Geography students, focusing on the students who have completed university education courses including the courses that implement flipped classroom in line with the 21st Century Approach. A quantitative approach was applied in this study using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The study respondents included 92 samples from a total population of 120 students selected through simple random sampling. The questionnaire items constructed involved three variables, namely knowledge, readiness and usage of flipped classroom. A descriptive analysis was used to examine the level of knowledge, readiness and usage variables. The Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the relationship of each study variable, and regression analysis was used for the purpose of analyzing the influence and contribution of knowledge and readiness variables on the usage of flipped classroom. The findings of the study showed that the students had a moderate level of flipped classroom knowledge (Mean=2.97, SP=0.18), a moderate level of flipped classroom readiness (Mean=2.83, SP=0.44) and a moderate level of flipped classroom usage (Mean=2.78, SP=0.42). Further, the findings of the Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a strong and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom knowledge and flipped classroom readiness among the students (r=.508, p<0.01), moderate and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom knowledge towards flipped classroom usage among the students (r=.487, p<0.01) and a strong and significant positive relationship between flipped classroom readiness and flipped classroom usage among the students (r=.509, p<0.01). The regression analysis showed that flipped classroom readiness had given a higher influence and contribution than flipped classroom knowledge among the students. The influence of the contribution of the flipped classroom readiness variable on flipped classroom usage among the students was 25.9 percent with the values of R2=0.329, F=21.862, p<0.05. In conclusion, the prospective UPSI’s Geography educators have not yet mastered the flipped classroom learning strategies. The implications of this implementation of flipped classroom study can be used as a guide and direction for the students in increasing their knowledge and readiness as educators in carrying out a variety of activity usages through access to learning materials, in line with the 21st Century Learning goals.

The aim of this study is to investigate the managerial effectiveness of administrators according to the opinions of theacademicians who work in sports sciences faculties in Turkey. In order to collect the opinions of the academicians, the “Managerial Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) Scale” was adopted. The MEE scale consists of 5 subscales and 44matters. The gathered data was analyzed with parametric and non-parametric tests by using SPSS 22.0 packagesoftware. Additionally, in order to determine the level and course of the relationship between the dependent variables,“Pearson correlation analysis” was conducted. To better explain the quality of the determined relationship anddetermine the prediction between MEE scale and its subscales, “multiple regression” analysis was conducted.Considering the opinions of the academicians, significant differences were determined in the gender variable in the“Leadership” subscale (p< 0.05). In the correlation analysis, it was determined that the strongest relationship wasbetween the MEE scale and the “Planning and Decision-making” subscale (r= 0.980; p< 0.001) in a positive way andat very high level. With the regression analysis, four distinct model structures were built with 6 independentvariables (MEE scale and its subscales). As a result of these 4 model structures, it was determined that the subscalewith the strongest prediction of the MEE scale was the “Planning and Decision-making” subscale. Furthermore, itwas determined that this subscale predicted the 96% of the variance of MEE scale (R2=0.960).
