Abstract In the gearbox, lubrication is an important technical measure to improve the friction state of the friction pair and ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical system, and it also plays an important role in cooling, sealing, rust prevention, shock absorption and force transmission. Common lubrication methods in automobile gearbox include dip lubrication, splash lubrication and forced lubrication, but dip and splash lubrication often result in oil churning power loss of the gearbox, and predicting this loss at design stage can help designers to modify the design and improve efficiency. In this paper, the moving particle semi-implicit method is applied to analyze the churning loss of a single helical gear in the transmission system, and the accuracy of the simulation results is verified by experimental data. This research can provide an effective new approach to study the oil churning power loss of gear in transmission.

The paper aims to simulate Tsunami currents around moving and fixed structures using the moving-particle semi-implicit method. An open channel with four different sets of structures is employed in the numerical model. The simulation results for the case with one structure indicate that the flow around the moving structure is faster than that around the fixed structure. The flow becomes more complex for cases with additional structures.

This paper proposes Enriched Brain Storm Optimization (EBSO) algorithm is used for soving reactive power problem. Human being are the most intellectual creature in this world. Unsurprisingly, optimization algorithm stimulated by human being inspired problem solving procedure should be advanced than the optimization algorithms enthused by collective deeds of ants, bee, etc. In this paper, we commence a new Enriched brain storm optimization algorithm, which was enthused by the human brainstorming course of action. In the projected Enriched Brain Storm Optimization (EBSO) algorithm, the vibrant clustering strategy is used to perk up the k-means clustering process. The most important view of the vibrant clustering strategy is that; regularly execute the k-means clustering after a definite number of generations, so that the swapping of information wrap all ideas in the clusters to accomplish suitable searching capability. This new approach leads to wonderful results with little computational efforts. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed Enriched Brain Storm Optimization (EBSO) algorithm, has been tested standard IEEE 118 & practical 191 bus test systems and compared to other standard reported algorithms. Simulation results show that Enriched Brain Storm Optimization (EBSO) algorithm is superior to other algorithms in reducing the real power loss.

This new approach leads to wonderful results with little computational efforts. In order to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed Improved Brain Storm Optimization (IBSO) algorithm, has been tested standard IEEE 30 bus test system and compared to other standard reported algorithms. Simulation results show that Improved Brain Storm Optimization (IBSO) algorithm is superior to other algorithms in reducing the real power loss.

The very complex structure of nuclear reactors is one aspect of the cause of severe accidents in nuclear reactors. To prevent serious accidents, analysis is needed on the reactor design before the reactor is built. Reactor accident analysis can be done using the Moving Particle Semi-Implicit method. The Moving Particle Semi-Implicit method is excellent in simulating the movement of liquid fuel in a reactor because it can analyze the free surface flow of an incompressible liquid without using a mesh grid. Simulations were carried out using three types of fluids with different viscosities and densities such as water, oil, and wax. The simulation results show that the water takes the fastest time to drain all the particles and the oil takes the longest time. From the simulation results, it can be determined that the kinematic viscosity of a liquid affects its flow velocity.

This paper proposes Enhanced Frog Leaping Algorithm (EFLA) to solve the optimal reactive power problem. Frog leaping algorithm (FLA) replicates the procedure of frogs passing though the wetland and foraging deeds. Set of virtual frogs alienated into numerous groups known as “memeplexes”. Frog’s position’s turn out to be closer in every memeplex after few optimization runs and certainly, this crisis direct to premature convergence. In the proposed Enhanced Frog Leaping Algorithm (EFLA) the most excellent frog information is used to augment the local search in each memeplex and initiate to the exploration bound acceleration. To advance the speed of convergence two acceleration factors are introduced in the exploration plan formulation. Proposed Enhanced Frog Leaping Algorithm (EFLA) has been tested in standard IEEE 14,300 bus test system and simulation results show the projected algorithm reduced the real power loss considerably.

AbstractIn this research, we study bienergy and biangles of moving particles lying on the surface of Lorentzian 3-space by using their energy and angle values. We present the geometrical characterization of bienergy of the particle in Darboux vector fields depending on surface. We also give the relationship between bienergy of the surface curve and bienergy of the elastic surface curve. We conclude the paper by providing bienergy-curve graphics for different cases.

In this paper, a design-stage failure identification framework is proposed using a modeling and simulation approach based on Dimensional Analysis and qualitative physics. The proposed framework is intended to provide a new approach to model the behavior in the Functional-Failure Identification and Propagation (FFIP) framework, which estimates potential faults and their propagation paths under critical event scenarios. The initial FFIP framework is based on combining hierarchical system models of functionality and configuration, with behavioral simulation and qualitative reasoning. This paper proposes to develop a behavioral model derived from information available at the configuration level. Specifically, the new behavioral model uses design variables, which are associated with units and quantities (i.e., Mass, Length, Time, etc…). The proposed framework continues the work to allow the analysis of functional failures and fault propagation at a highly abstract system concept level before any potentially high-cost design commitments are made. The main contribution in this paper consists of developing component behavioral models based on the combination of fundamental design variables used to describe components and their units or quantities, more precisely describing components’ behavior.

In this paper, we propose a new approach to breaking down chaotic communication scheme by attacking its encryption keys. A remarkable advancement is that it can decode the hidden message exactly. This makes it become possible to break down some cascaded chaotic communication systems. We also decode digital information from the cascaded heterogeneous chaotic communication system and give the simulation results.
