Ranaviruses are large nucleocytoplasmic DNA viruses that infect ectothermic vertebrates. Here we report the results of a scientometric analysis of the field of ranavirology for the last 10 years. Using bibliometric tools we analyse trends, identify top publications and journals, and visualise the ranavirus collaboration landscape. The Web of Science core collection contains 545 ranavirus-related publications from 2010 to 2019, with more publications produced every year and a total of 6830 citations. Research output is primarily driven by the United States and People’s Republic of China, who together account for more than 60% of ranavirus publications. We also observed a positive correlation between the average number of co-authors on ranavirus publications and the year of publication, indicating that overall collaboration is increasing. A keyword analysis of ranavirus publications from 2010 to 2019 reveals several areas of research interest including; ecology, immunology, virology/molecular biology, genetics, ichthyology, and herpetology. While ranavirus research is conducted globally, relatively few publications have co-authors from both European and Asian countries, possibly because closer countries (geographical distance) are more likely to share co-authors. To this end, efforts should be made to foster collaborations across geopolitical and cultural boundaries, especially between countries with shared research interests as ultimately, understanding global pathogens, like ranaviruses, will require global collaboration.

UNSTRUCTURED We read with great interest the study by Grammes et al. on research output and international cooperation among countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. The paper is a quantitative study using scientometric analysis instead of a qualitative research using citation analysis. A total of 7,185 publications were extracted from Web of Science Core Collection (WoS) with keywords of “covid19 OR covid-19 OR sarscov2 OR sars-cov-2” as of July 4, 2020. We replicated a citation analysis study to extract abstracts from Pubmed Central(PMC) with similar keywords mentioned above and obtained 35,421 articles relevant to COVID-10 matching their corresponding number of citation in PMC. one hundred top-cited atricles were selected and compared on diagrams. Social network analysis combined with citation numbers in articles was performed to analyze international cooperation among countries. The results were shown on a world map instead of the circle diagram in the previous study. A Sankey diagram was applied to highlight entities(e.g., countries, article types, medical subject headings, and journals) with the most citations. Authors from Chian dominated citations in these 100 top-cited articles rather than the US in publications addressed in the previous study. Both visual representations of the world map and Sankey diagram were provided to readers with a better understanding of the research output and international cooperation among countries during the COVID-19 pandemic

Objective: Microtia is a congenital auricular malformation with a hypoplastic external ear that ranges in severity from a slightly smaller auricle to complete the absence of the auricle. The present study was conducted to identify and analyze the characteristics of microtia-related articles published from 2006 to 2020 by using bibliometric analyses. Method: Microtia-related studies published from 2006 to 2020 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Keywords, first author, citations, date of publication, and publication journal were extracted and quantitatively analyzed using Bibliographic Item Co-Occurrence Matrix Builder software and the Bibliometric ( https://bibliometric.com/app ). VOSviewer was used to visualize research and form a network map on keywords and citations. Results: A total of 1031 articles from 2006 to 2020 were included. The number of articles showed an overall trend of growth over time. The United States and China are the top 2 countries in terms of the number of microtia-related articles. From the analysis of keyword clustering, keywords could be mainly divided into 4 clusters in the field of microtia research: surgery, tissue engineering, epidemiology, and rehabilitation including hearing-related treatments, evaluation of effects, and quality of life after surgery. The top 10 most frequently cited papers from 2006 to 2020 were also extracted and analyzed. Conclusion: A bibliometric research of microtia-related articles from 2006 to 2020 was conducted. This study may be helpful to understand the current research status of microtia and find the research trends in this field, thus proposing future directions for microtia research.

Infectious diseases have been continuously and increasingly threatening human health and welfare due to a variety of factors such as globalisation, environmental, demographic changes, and emerging pathogens. In order to establish an interdisciplinary approach for coordinating R&D via funding, it is imperative to discover research trends in the field. In this paper, we apply machine learning methodologies and network analyses to understand how the European Union (EU) and the United States (US) have invested their funding in infectious diseases research utilising an interdisciplinary approach. The purpose of this paper is to use public R&D project data as data and to grasp the research trends of epidemic diseases in the US and EU through scientometric analysis.

Developing Asia has traditionally relied on exports to the United States and other industrialized countries for demand and growth. As a result, the collapse of exports to the United States and other industrialized countries during the 2008–09 global financial crisis has sharply curtailed GDP growth across the region. The emergence of the People's Republic of China (PRC) as a globally influential economic force is fueling hopes that it can supplement the United States as an additional source of demand and growth. The central objective of this paper is to investigate whether exports to the PRC has a significant and positive effect on the GDP of eight developing Asian countries. Although the study's results indicate that exports to the PRC contributed to developing Asian countries' recovery from the global crisis, it is far too early to make well-informed judgments about the PRC's ability to support Asia's growth in the medium and long term.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the extant literature on Project Finance (PF) with a comprehensive understanding of the status quo and research trends in the mining industry. Thus, this study utilizes a scientometric review of global trends and structure of PF and mining research from 1977 to 2020 using techniques such as co-author, co-word, co-citation, and cluster analyses. A total of 80 bibliographic records from the Scopus database were analyzed to generate the study’s research through scientometric networks. The findings indicate a steady growth of the research field, which includes Environmental, Social, and Governance criteria. The most significant contributions have originated mainly from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. The main research trends identified several issues related to risk, management, and financing concerns. This study provides researchers and practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of the status quo and research trends of ontology research within PF in the mining context and promotes further studies in this domain.

Despite the increasing number of marketing transactions that transcend both the national and cultural boundaries, comparative studies on the influence of culture on business negotiations have been lacking. This paper presents intra-cultural and inter-cultural perspectives on business negotiation behaviors of Japan, Peoples Republic of China, Canada, and the United States. The authors identify culturally bound factors that can affect the negotiation activity and thereby aid the manager in the adaptation and/or adjustment of the marketing plan to suit the foreign environment.

This study analyzes the Astrophysics research output in India from the year 1989-2016. The data was downloaded from web of science database which was maintained by Thomson Reuters. The findings of the study revealed that The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has contributed 2725 records in astrophysics research during the study period of 1989-2016. This institute’s h index based local citation score is (LCS) 23 and h-index based on the local citation score excluding self- citations is (LCSX)15 and Global citation score (GCS) is 89.The time series analysis study shows the future trend of growth in astrophysics research output in India might take a decreasing trend during the years to come.

The study finds that articles occupies first place among various forms of sources, during the study period in the year 2016 published highest research output, INDIA have published highest publication among the Liver Disease, majority research papers published themes of Liver Disease in medical field.

UNSTRUCTURED Abstract Background: A growing number of studies have reported artificial intelligence (AI) has been developed for diagnosis and outcome prediction in clinical practice. Furthermore, AI in digestive endoscopy has attracted much attention, which has shown promising and stimulating results. Our study aimed to visualize the articles to determine the trends and hotspots of AI in digestive endoscopy. Methods: Publications on AI in digestive endoscopy research were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) on March 14, 2021. Microsoft Excel 2016, VOSviewer 1.6.11.0, and CiteSpace V were used to assess and plot the research output. Results: The analytic research was based on original articles and reviews. A total of 121 records of AI research in digestive endoscopy published from 2017 to 2021 were retrieved. The citation number for these articles ranged from 0 to 142. The number of published articles increased 68-fold just from 2017 to 2020. All publications were distributed among 31 countries and 296 institutions. Asian countries had the most publications in this field (80.17%). Among the 31 countries, China and Japan were consistently the leading driving force and contributed mostly (31.40% and 28.93%, respectively), with a strong academic reputation in this area. Tada Tomohiro distributed the most related articles (13.22%) and was cited the most frequently. Gastrointestinal endoscopy published the largest number of publications (14.88%), and 4 of the top 10 cited references were in this leading journal. “Barrett’s esophagus” was the leading research hotspot. The keywords “classification,” “polyps,” “risk,” “histology,” and “resection” appeared most recently as research frontiers. Conclusions: Our study provides a systematic elaboration for researchers to obtain a good comprehension of AI development in digestive endoscopy.
