A method to design a cross-coupled resonator filter with parallel resonance circuits is presented, which includes the selection of a circuit model, introduces a scaling factor and a bandwidth condition, and calculates the values of the coupling and resonance admittances of the circuit model by a coupling matrix derived from the given transfer function. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the design procedure. The simulation results validate the proposed design procedure.

In this work, the analysis of real deviations from the nominal dimensions links, and their cumulative effect on the final movement of the chain linkage element rolling semiautomatic mechanism. The considered mechanism was converted to an equivalent one, consisting of lower translational and rotational kinematic pairs. In the course of the structural analysis, the mechanism was divided into Assur groups in order to simplify further kinematic calculations. The calculation was carried out sequentially for each of the structural groups separately. Based on this, a mathematical model of the kinematics of a rolling semiautomatic mechanism was developed, taking into account the real size of the links, that is, possible deviations of the links size from the nominal values for any combination of them. Using a specific example with the given installation dimensions of the mechanism, the transfer function of the output link (wedge) is built, and the range of its possible change is determined according to the specified dimensional tolerances. Combinations of link sizes for the boundaries of the range of change of the transfer function have been determined It is shown that with the tolerances indicated in accordance with the Unified system of tolerances and fits, the deviation of the position of the output link at the extreme position of the input link (pusher) can reach ±10 of that calculated by the nominal dimensions. This model can be used to solve the problems of optimal selection of tolerances and reduce the cost of manufacturing a product, based on the kinematic restrictions imposed on the functionality of the mechanism. The proposed approach to the construction and analysis of analytical mathematical models can be relevant for a wide variety of industries: machine tool building, engine building, weapons industry and aircraft building, especially where mechanisms are used that form long kinematic chains.

Basic scattering functions were used in a novel calculation of the turbidity ratios for particles having the relative refractive index m = 1.001, 1.005 (0.005) 1.315 and the size α = 0.05 (0.05) 6.00 (0.10) 15.00 (0.50) 70.00 (1.00) 100, where α = πL/λ, L is the diameter of the spherical particle, λ = Λ/μ1 is the wavelength of light in a medium with the refractive index μ1 and Λ is the wavelength of light in vacuo. The data are tabulated for the wavelength λ = 546.1/μw = 409.357 nm, where μw is the refractive index of water. A procedure has been suggested how to extend the applicability of Tables to various refractive indices of the medium and to various turbidity ratios τa/τb obtained with the individual pairs of wavelengths λa and λb. The selection of these pairs is bound to the sequence condition λa = λ0χa and λb = λ0χb, in which b-a = δ = 1, 2, 3; a = -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, ..., b = a + δ = -1, 0, 1, 2, ...; λ0 = λa=0 = 326.675 nm; χ = 546.1 : 435.8 = 1.2531 is the quotient of the given sequence.

In this paper, a novel method based on cubature Kalman filter (CKF) and strong tracking filter (STF) has been proposed for nonlinear state estimation problem. The proposed method is named as strong tracking cubature Kalman filter (STCKF). In the STCKF, a scaling factor derived from STF is added and it can be tuned online to adjust the filtering gain accordingly. Simulation results indicate STCKF outperforms over EKF and CKF in state estimation accuracy.

In this paper, an integrated acceleration/deceleration with dynamics interpolation scheme is proposed to confine the maximum contour error at the junction of linear junction. The dynamic contour error equation is derived analytically and then it is utilized for the interpolation design. Based on the derived formulations which could predict the command and dynamic errors, the advanced interpolation design could adjust the connecting velocity of the two blocks to confine the overall contour errors under the given tolerance. Simulation results validate the proposed algorithm can achieve higher accurate trajectory as compared to the other interpolation algorithm proposed in the past.

This paper is concerned with the analysis of the forming load characteristics of a forward-backward can extrusion in both combined and sequence operation. A commercially available finite element program, which is coded in the rigid-plastic finite element method, has been employed to investigate the forming load characteristics. AA 2024 aluminum alloy is selected as a model material. The analysis in the present study is extended to the selection of press frame capacity for producing efficiently final product at low cost. The possible extrusion processes to shape a forward-backward can component with different outer diameters are categorized to estimate quantitatively the force requirement for forming forward-backward can part, forming energy, and maximum pressure exerted on the die-material interfaces, respectively. The categorized processes are composed of combined and/or some basic extrusion processes such as sequence operation. Based on the simulation results about forming load characteristics, the frame capacity of a mechanical press of crank-drive type suitable for a selected process could be determined along with securing the load capacity and with considering productivity. In addition, it is suggested that different load capacities be selected for different dimensions of a part such as wall thickness in forward direction and etc. It is concluded quantitatively from the simulation results that the combined operation is superior to sequence operation in terms of relatively low forming load and thus it leads to low cost for forming equipments. However, it is also known from the simulation results that the precise control of dimensional accuracy is not so easy in combined operation. The results in this paper could be a good reference for analysis of forming process for complex parts and selection of proper frame capacity of a mechanical press to achieve low production cost and thus high productivity.

Selecting suitable underwater terrain navigation matching areas is a prerequisite for building an underwater terrain navigation database, which is important for vehicles operating underwater. By using information features to evaluate underwater terrain matching areas, vague sets are proposed to evaluate matching performance. Mathematical models of matching area features are built and topographic factor eigenvalues are obtained. With the topographic factor eigenvalues, fuzzy relationships between factor sets and judge sets are calculated. Vague set uses membership functions and non-membership functions to define the influence of topographic factor eigenvalues on matching suitability. Simulation results demonstrate that vague set theory can overcome the deficiency of single value in fuzzy sets and define the effect of geographic characteristics for matching performance. Based on vague set method, selection rules for terrain navigation matching areas in underwater terrain database are put forward.

The given article analyzes the peculiarities of the stylistic functioning of allusions to the Holy Scripture within one religious play belonging to the modern early English period, namely “Johan Baptystes Preachynge” produced by a dramatist J. Bale. The analysis is performed from the standpoint of linguopoetics. We consider stylistic features via the correlation of form and meaning, dissection of the conceptual component, juxtaposition with medieval plays representing adaptations of the same scriptural plot. Within the framework of this analysis we identify and assess elements performing the function of impact incorporated into the scriptural allusions and estimate their role in the selection of other lexical units, construction of extended metaphors, syntactic shaping of particular fragments of the play. We draw a conclusion that via the extension of scriptural metaphorical complexes the author brings about a meaningful focus shift to ensure a protestant reinterpretation of the included biblical theses. A substantial share of stylistically marked elements undergoes semantic expansion and develops adherent connotations since they relate to the pivotal elements of the allusions.
