This letter presents a new hyperchaotic system, which was constructed by adding an approximate time delayed state feedback to the second equation of Lorenz chaotic system. The constructed system is not only demonstrated by numerical simulations but also implemented via an electronic circuit, showing very good agreement with the simulation results.

This letter presents a new hyperchaotic system, which was obtained by adding a nonlinear quadratic controller to the first equation and a linear controller to the second equation of the three-dimensional autonomous modified Lorenz chaotic system. This system uses only two multipliers but can generate very complex strange attractors with three positive Lyapunov exponents. The system is not only demonstrated by numerical simulations but also implemented via an electronic circuit, showing very good agreement with the simulation results.

In this study, a modified fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system is proposed, and the chaotic attractors are obtained. Meanwhile, we construct one electronic circuit to realize the modified fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system. Most importantly, using a linear resistor and a fractional-order capacitor in parallel coupling, we suggested one chaos synchronization scheme for this modified fractional-order Lorenz chaotic system. The electronic circuit of chaos synchronization for modified fractional-order Lorenz chaotic has been given. The simulation results verify that synchronization scheme is viable.

In this letter, a simple nonlinear state feedback controller is designed for generating hyperchaos from a three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system. The hyperchaotic system is not only demonstrated by computer simulations but also verified with bifurcation analysis, and is implemented experimentally via an electronic circuit.

A large number of 3D numerical simulations were performed in order to follow the trajectory changes of rigid CRH3 ogive-nosed projectiles, impacting semi-infinite metallic targets at various obliquities. These trajectory changes are shown to be related to the threshold ricochet angles of the projectile/target pairs. These threshold angles are the impact obliquities where the projectiles end up moving in a path parallel to the target’s face. They were found to depend on a non-dimensional entity which is equal to the ratio between the target’s resistance to penetration and the dynamic pressure exerted by the projectile upon impact. Good agreement was obtained by comparing simulation results for these trajectory changes with experimental data from several published works. In addition, numerically-based relations were derived for the penetration depths of these ogive-nosed projectiles at oblique impacts, which are shown to agree with the simulation results.

A series of numerical simulations utilizing LS-DYNA was performed to determine the mid-point deformations of V-shaped plates due to blast loading. The numerical simulation results were then compared with experimental results from published literature. The V-shaped plate is made of DOMEX 700 and is used underneath an armour personal carrier vehicle as an anti-tank mine to mitigate the effects of explosion from landmines in a battlefield. The performed numerical simulations of blast loading of V-shaped plates consisted of various angles i.e. 60°, 90°, 120°, 150° and 180°; variable mass of explosives located at the central mid-point of the V-shaped vertex with various stand-off distances. It could be seen that the numerical simulations produced good agreement with the experimental results where the average difference was about 26.6%.

In this paper, a simple four-wing chaotic attractor is first proposed by replacing the constant parameters of the Chen system with a periodic piecewise function. Then, a new 4D four-wing memristive hyperchaotic system is presented by adding a flux-controlled memristor with linear memductance into the proposed four-wing Chen system. The memristor mathematical structure model is simple and easy to implement. Dynamical analysis and numerical simulation of the memristive hyperchaotic system are carried out. Then, the electronic circuit of the hyperchaotic system is designed and implemented. The results of numerical simulation are in good agreement with the electronic circuit experiment. In addition, shape synchronization control for the 4D four-wing memristive hyperchaotic system is realized, and a communication system is designed by using the shape synchronization method. Finally, secure signal masking application is implemented on Matlab platform. In the developed secure communication scheme, the information signal overlaps with the chaotic masking signal, which improves the security of the system.

Projective synchronization between two nonlinear systems with different dimension was investigated. The controllers were designed when the dimension of drive system greater than the one of response system. The opposite situation also was discussed. In addition, we found an approach to control the chaotic (hyperchaotic) system to exhibit the behaviors of hyperchaotic (chaotic) system. The numerical simulations were implemented on different chaotic (hyperchaotic) systems, and the results indicate that our methods are effective.

This paper studies the problem on chaotic secure communication, and a new hyperchaotic system is included for the scheme design. Based on Lyapunov method andH∞techniques, two kinds of chaotic secure communication schemes in the case that system disturbances exist are presented for the possible application in real engineering; corresponding theoretical derivations are also provided. In the end, some typical numerical simulations are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.

In order to study the effects of liner materials on the formation of Shaped Charges with Double Layer Liners (SCDLL) into tandem Explosively Formed Projectile (EFP), the formation mechanism of DLSCL was studied. Utilizing two-dimensional finite element dynamic code AUTODYN, the numerical simulations on the mechanical phenomenon of SCDLL forming into tandem EFP were carried out. X-ray pictures were obtained after Experiments on SCDLL. Comparisons between experimental results and numerical simulation results have good agreement. It can be concluded from the results that the materials properties and configurations of both liners are crucial to the formation of tandem EFP.
