We investigate the attractor solution in the coupled Yang–Mills field dark energy models with the general interaction term, and obtain the constraint equations for the interaction if the attractor solution exists. The research also shows that, if the attractor solution exists, the equation of state of dark energy must evolve from wy > 0 to wy ≤ -1, which is slightly suggested by the observation. At the same time, the total equation of state in the attractor solution is w tot = -1, the universe is a de Sitter expansion, and the cosmic big rip is naturally avoided. These features are all independent of the interacting forms.

Specific dark energy models, leading to the Little Rip (LR) cosmology in the far future, are investigated. Conditions for the occurrence of LR in terms of the parameters present in the proposed equation of state for the dark energy cosmic fluid are studied. Estimates about the time needed before the occurrence of the small singularity in the standard LR model in which the universe approaches the de Sitter spacetime asymptotically, are given.

The reconstruction scenario of well-established dark energy models such as pilgrim dark energy model and generalized ghost dark energy with Hubble horizon and [Formula: see text] models is being considered. We have established [Formula: see text] models and analyzed their viability through equation of state parameter and [Formula: see text] (where prime denotes derivative with respect to [Formula: see text]) plane. The equation of state parameter evolutes the universe in three different phases such as quintessence, vacuum and phantom. However, the [Formula: see text] plane also describes the thawing as well as freezing region of the universe. The recent observational data also favor our results.

Using the non-extensive Tsallis entropy and the holographic hypothesis, we propose a new dark energy (DE) model with timescale as infrared (IR) cutoff. Considering the age of the Universe as well as the conformal time as IR cutoffs, we investigate the cosmological consequences of the proposed DE models and study the evolution of the Universe filled by a pressureless matter and the obtained DE candidates. We find that although this model can describe the late time acceleration and the density, deceleration and the equation of state parameters show satisfactory behavior by themselves, these models are classically unstable unless the interaction between the two dark sectors of the Universe is taken into account. In addition, the results of the existence of a mutual interaction between the cosmos sectors are also addressed. We find out that the interacting models are stable at the classical level which is in contrast to the original interacting agegraphic dark energy models which are classically unstable [K. Y. Kim, H. W. Lee and Y. S. Myung, Phys. Lett. B 660, 118 (2008)].

We study the statefinder parameters in the Yang–Mills condensate dark energy models, and find that the evolving trajectories of these models are different from those of other dark energy models. We also define two eigenfunctions of the Yang–Mills condensate dark energy models. The values of these eigenfunctions are quite close to zero if the equation of state of the Yang–Mills condensate is not far from -1, which can be used to simply differentiate between the Yang–Mills condensate models and other dark energy models.

We assume that dark matter and dark energy satisfy the unified equation of state: p = B(z)ρ, with p = pdE, ρ = ρdm+ρdE, where the pressure of dark matter pdm = 0 has been taken into account. A special function [Formula: see text] is presented, which can well describe the evolution of the universe. In this model, the universe will end up with a Big Rip. By further simple analysis, we know other choices of the function B can also describe the universe but lead to a different doomsday.

AbstractIn the framework of fractal universe, the unified models of dark energy and dark matter are being presented with the background of homogenous and isotropic FLRW geometry. The aspects of fractal cosmology helps in better understanding of the universe in different dimensions. Relationship between the squared speed of the sound and the equation of state parameter is the key feature of these models. We have used constant as well as variable forms of speed of sound and express it as a function of equation of state parameter. By utilizing the four different forms of speed of sound, we construct the energy densities and pressures for these models and then various cosmological parameters like hubble parameter, EoS parameter, deceleration parameter and Om- diagnostic are investigated. Graphical analysis of these parameters show that in most of the cases EoS parameters and trajectories of Om-diagnostic corresponds to the quintessence like nature of the universe and the deceleration parameters represent accelerated and decelerated phase. In the end, we remark that cosmological analysis of these models indicates that these models correspond to different well known dark energy models.

In this paper, we present a model for the late-time evolution of the universe where a dark energy-dark matter interaction is invoked. Dark energy is modeled through an holographic Ricci dark energy component. The model is embedded within an induced gravity braneworld model. For suitable choices of the interaction coupling, the big rip and little rip induced by the holographic Ricci dark energy, in a relativistic model and in an induced gravity braneworld model, are removed. In this scenario, the holographic dark energy will have a phantom like behavior even though the brane is asymptotically de Sitter.

We consider the recently proposed higher derivative torsion corrected modified teleparallel gravity and holographic dark energy (HDE) models. We apply the correspondence scheme to construct models in underlying scenario using various scale factor forms. We investigate the reconstructed functions through equation of state (EoS) parameter. It is demonstrated that the EoS parameter provides quintom-like nature of the Universe in most of the cases, i.e. it drives the Universe from vacuum dark energy era toward phantom era of the Universe by crossing the phantom divide line. We also demonstrate that the consistency with the observational data can be achieved.

In this work, we reconstruct the f(R) modified gravity for different ghost and generalized-ghost dark energy (DE) models in FRW flat universe, which describes the accelerated expansion of the universe. The equation of state and deceleration parameter of reconstructed f(R) gravity have been calculated. The equation of state and deceleration parameter of reconstructed f(R)-ghost/generalized-ghost DE, have been calculated. We show that the corresponding f(R) gravity of ghost/generalized-ghost DE model can behave like phantom or quintessence. Also the transition between deceleration to acceleration regime is indicated by deceleration parameter diagram for reconstructed f(R) generalized-ghost DE model.

Ever since the first observations that we are living in an accelerating universe, it has been asked what dark energy is. There are various explanations, all of which have various drawbacks or inconsistencies. Here we show that using a dark spinor field it is possible to have an equation of state that crosses the phantom divide, becoming a dark phantom spinor which evolves into dark energy. This type of equation of state has been mildly favored by experimental data, however, in the past there were hardly any theories that satisfied this crossing without creating ghosts or causing a singularity which results in the universe essentially ripping. The dark spinor model converges to dark energy in a reasonable time frame avoiding the big rip and without attaining negative kinetic energy as it crosses the phantom divide.
