Fermi transport of spinors can be precisely understood in terms of two-spinor geometry. By using a partly original, previously developed treatment of two-spinors and classical fields, we describe the family of all transports, along a given one-dimensional timelike submanifold of spacetime, which yield the standard Fermi transport of vectors. Moreover, we show that this family has a distinguished member, whose relation to the Fermi transport of vectors is similar to the relation between the spinor connection and spacetime connection. Various properties of the Fermi transport of spinors are discussed, and applied to the construction of free electron states for a detector-dependent QED formalism introduced in a previous paper.

17th century testaments of the Królik family from Krakow The article is dedicated to the Królik family from Krakow, who lived in the town from the late 16th century until the first years of the 18th century. The family members initially worked as tailors, later reinforcing the group of Krakow merchants in the third generation (Maciej Królik). Wojciech Królik – from the fourth generation – was a miner in Olkusz. The text omits the most distinguished member of the family, Wojciech’s oldest brother, the Krakow councillor Mikołaj Królik, whose figure has been covered in a separate work. The work shows the complicated religious relations in the family of non-Catholics, initially highly engaged in the life of the Krakow Congregation, but whose members gradually converted from Evangelism to Catholicism. As a result, Wojciech Królik and his siblings became Catholics. This work is complemented by four testaments of family members, with the first, Jakub Królik’s, being written in 1626 and the last one, Wojciech Królik’s, written in 1691.

AbstractPhytochemical investigation of Camphorosma lessingii has resulted in the isolation of four previously unreported isoflavones (1–4) and eight known compounds (5–12). Nine of these compounds (1–6, 8–10) are reported for the first time from members of the family Amaranthaceae. The structures of all isolated compounds were determined by spectroscopic methods, primarily one-dimensional and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. The absolute configuration of 6 was confirmed by circular dichroism. Inhibition of the organic anion transporters, OAT1 and OAT3, by the isolated compounds was evaluated. Among them, 7, 2′-dihydroxy- 6,8-dimethoxyisoflavone (1), 2′-hydroxy-6,7,8-trimethoxyisoflavone (2), 6,2′-dihydroxy-7,8-dimethoxyisoflavone (3), and 7-methoxyflavone (5) showed a significant inhibitory effect on 6-carboxyfluorescein uptake mediated by OAT1 and OAT3.

This chapter discusses classical fields in an arbitrary Riemann spacetime. General considerations are followed by the formulation of scalar fields with non-minimal coupling. Spontaneous symmetry breaking in curved space is shown to provide the induced gravity action with a cosmological constant. The construction of spinor fields in curved spacetime is based on the notions of group theory from Part I and on the local Lorentz invariance. Massless vector fields (massless vector gauge fields) are described and the interactions between scalar, fermion and gauge fields formulated. A detailed discussion of classical conformal transformations and conformal symmetry for both matter fields and vacuum action is also provided.
