The present study analyzes the effect of pressure dam depth and relief track depth on the performance of three-lobe pressure dam bearing. Different values of dam depth and relief track depth are taken in nondimensional form in order to analyze their effect. Results are plotted for different parameters against eccentricity ratios and it is shown that the effect of pressure dam depth and relief track depth has great significance on stability and other performance parameters. Study of stability and performance characteristics is undertaken simultaneously.

The note compares recently published versions of the governing gas film equations for slip-flow and turbulent flow with Reynolds equation for laminar flow. The comparison shows how approximate values of steady-state and dynamic performance parameters may be deduced for the new conditions from existing data.

The aim of this study was to examine the physical and selected performance characteristics of 9-week High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on sedentary university students. Participants were separated two groups as HIIT and control group (CG). HIIT group applied training 3 times a week for 9 weeks. CG was not applied any training. Before and after HIIT training program, the subjects were applied to age, height, body weight (BW), body mass index (BMI) tests for physical parameters and standing long jump (SLJ), vertical jump (VJ), 10-20 m sprint, T agility test (TAT), star excursion balance test (SEBT), running-based anaerobic sprint test (RAST) for performance parameters. Multiple analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to analyze of inter-group, intra group and the effect of training in repeated measurements. Bonferroni test was used for Post Hoc comparisons; the significance level was accepted as 0.05. There was a significant difference in BW, BMI and all performance parameters in favor of HIIT group. HIIT provided effective development to physical and performance characteristics of university students.

Due to fast depletion of fuel and for the huge demand of various engine fuels in large sectors and power generation, thse biodiesel which is derived from biological wastes can be a substitute of pure diesel oil. Diesel engine has the benefits of low fuel consumption, high potency, smart economical and dynamic performance. However at the identical time, the diesel engine has high NOx and soot emissions. And these two sorts of emissions provides a trade-off relationship which can bring difficulties to satisfy the necessities of emission rules of NOx and soot. This particular paper primarily reviews regarding using of preheated bio-diesel that contains 20 percentage of pure sunflower oil (biological name-Helianthus annuus) and analyses its performance characteristics for selected blend with completely variable loads. Various experiments were carried out by employing a four stroke single cylinder, direct injection, water cooled diesel engine with suitable specifications. Helianthus oil is mixed with bio diesel for fast burning inside the engine cylinder and by doing so , the Cetane number is quite high that leads to the ignition delay shorter. Therefore the overall content is preheated somewhat in order to lift its temperature so as to boost the burning process. Incorporating to this , it reduces the various emissions such as NOx, CO and smoke capacity by 2% to 3%. Various parameters are required to outline the analysis of combustion and performance characteristics of the test fuel like brake thermal efficiency(BTE),basic specific fuel consumption(BSFC), basic specific energy consumption (BSEC),temperature of the exhaust gas and emissions like NOx, unburn hydrocarbons(HC), carbon monoxide(CO) and smoke were carried out in the specified engine

Steady-state and dynamic performance parameters of three-lobe fluid film bearing, operating on TiO2 nanolubricant have been obtained. The effective viscosity for a given volume fraction of TiO2 nanoparticle in base fluid is obtained by using Krieger–Dougherty viscosity model. Various bearing performance parameters are obtained by solving remodeled Reynolds equation, which includes couple stress parameter. The stiffness and damping coefficients are also obtained for different values of the couple stress parameter. Results show a significant rise in the nondimensional load-carrying capacity and flow coefficient while there is a decrease in friction variable. It also reveals a significant improvement in the dynamic coefficient of bearing.

The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of slip under the influence of molecular mean free path on the steady state and dynamic performance characteristics of plain gas journal bearings. The theoretical investigations have been made over a wide range of compressibility number. It is found that slip usually impairs the bearing performance, particularly at low compressibility numbers, A; the effect of slip, however, diminishes with increasing values of A. In fact at high compressibility numbers, theory suggests that slip has a beneficial effect of improving the dynamic performance of the bearing.

Abstract The new female bulletproof vest was designed with a superior female fit, this body armour providing a good balance between protection and comfort. One of the new issues in designing the female ballistic vest consists in taking into account the shape and bras size of Romanian female body, based on anthropometric survey using the 3D scanner technology. This bulletproof vest will provide comfort and mobility with the same or superior ballistic resistance properties versus standard body armour equipment. The ballistic performance parameters have been evaluated, in agreement with the international standards, in specialized laboratories of the Romanian MoD.

Paper deals with the test procedure for evaluating performance parameters of the heat pump air water system. The objective of measurements was tuning errors and optimizes the work of the whole system. The main aim was to find the most acceptable evaporator with which the heat pump COP reached the best results. Choosing of the evaporator consisted of comparing the operating and performance characteristics of individual exchangers.
