In this paper, a method for determining the initial value of the hidden attractors in the Chua system is studied. The initial value of the hidden attractors can be calculated quickly and accurately by the proposed method, and the hidden attractors can be found by numerical simulation. Then, the initial values of the hidden attractors are set accurately by digital signal processor (DSP), so as to the circuit realization of the chaotic system with hidden attractors is performed. The results show that the numerical simulation results of Matlab are consistent with the experimental results of DSP.

Systems with hidden attractors have been the hot research topic of recent years because of their striking features. Fractional-order systems with hidden attractors are newly introduced and barely investigated. In this paper, a new 4D fractional-order chaotic system with hidden attractors is proposed. The abundant and complex hidden dynamical behaviors are studied by nonlinear theory, numerical simulation, and circuit realization. As the main mode of electrical behavior in many neuroendocrine cells, bursting oscillations (BOs) exist in this system. This complicated phenomenon is seldom found in the chaotic systems, especially in the fractional-order chaotic systems without equilibrium points. With the view of practical application, the spectral entropy (SE) algorithm is chosen to estimate the complexity of this fractional-order system for selecting more appropriate parameters. Interestingly, there is a state variable correlated with offset boosting that can adjust the amplitude of the variable conveniently. In addition, the circuit of this fractional-order chaotic system is designed and verified by analog as well as hardware circuit. All the results are very consistent with those of numerical simulation.

When evaluating the ASET (available safe egress time), the fire scenario and the heat release rate (HRR) of the fire need to be set firstly according to the function and the combustible materials of the building, then CFD (Computational Fluent Dynamics) software is used to perform simulations. The ASET is obtained at the time when the hazard index of smoke reaches the minimum value at a safety height, and this height could be defined as critical safety height. It is very important to select critical safety height and heat release rate for the accuracy of the simulation results. The variation of selection of the critical safety height in references is large and it is lacking of credible evidence. This paper discusses the critical safety height based on statistics, probability and ergonomicsvvso as to improve the accuracy, credibility and reliability of the numerical simulation.

A direct adaptive feedforward control method for tracking repeatable runout (RRO) in bit patterned media recording (BPMR) hard disk drives (HDD) is proposed. The technique estimates the system parameters and the residual RRO simultaneously and constructs a feedforward signal based on a known regressor. An improved version of the proposed algorithm to avoid matrix inversion and reduce computation complexity is given. Results for both MATLAB simulation and digital signal processor (DSP) implementation are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Due to the impact from the conditioning circuit, it is easy to generate DC component for the reference voltage when the digital signal processor (DSP) sampling the grid voltage. It cannot eliminate the DC component for the grid inverter based on feed-forward decoupling control, and this would bring the DC component to the inverter voltage. The traditional DC component elimination method includes two aspects of hardware and software. This paper presents a new method to eliminate the DC component. The simulation results show that the algorithm is correct by using PSCAD/EMTDC.

The paper describes in detail the governing relationships for the electromagnetic field on the surface of the laser beam splitter of a laser interferometer. These expressions are intended for numerical simulation of measuring the displacements of control object surfaces by using a laser interferometer. We consider the cases of perpendicular and parallel polarizations of the radiation source. Moreover, the most relevant particular cases of constructing optical circuits of the interferometer in question are treated. The presented theoretical results have been used in numerical studies of the functional characteristics of promising contactless optical means of measuring displacements. The use of the described results has improved the quality and informativeness of the numerical simulation results of the measurement process of displacements by a laser interferometer.

In this paper, a delay-coupled Duffing equation is studied. By the characteristic roots technique, sufficient conditions are obtained for Hopf bifurcation occurrence. And the spatio-temporal patterns of the bifurcating periodic solutions are also obtained, some examples are given to demonstrate the theoretical analysis. Especially, the obtained numerical simulation results show that there are hidden attractors in this delayed system, which can coexist with stable equilibrium or stable bifurcating orbits.

The key of swirling airflow finishing is how to generate the swirling airflow. In the paper, three swirling airflow head are discussed according the manners of tangential inflow. By means of FLUENT, the general software of CFD, the swirling airflow field from different airflow head is simulated. The simulation results are shown by the flow line graphs, tangential velocity, radial distribution graphs, etc. All we have studied is as the basis for the determination of the application scope of each swirling airflow head.

Based on the study on Jerk chaotic system, a multiscroll hyperchaotic system with hidden attractors is proposed in this paper, which has infinite number of equilibriums. The chaotic system can generate [Formula: see text] scroll hyperchaotic hidden attractors. The dynamic characteristics of the multiscroll hyperchaotic system with hidden attractors are analyzed by means of dynamic analysis methods such as Lyapunov exponents and bifurcation diagram. In addition, we have studied the synchronization of the system by applying an adaptive control method. The hardware experiment of the proposed multiscroll hyperchaotic system with hidden attractors is carried out using discrete components. The hardware experimental results are consistent with the numerical simulation results of MATLAB and the theoretical analysis results.

In order to determine the optimal parameters of irrigation process in order to verify the accuracy of the numerical simulation results of experimental determination of the effective spray during irrigation [2], [6]. This paper will conduct empirical planning, establishing empirical mathematical model to determine the diameter of the nozzle, swirl coefficient and irrigation output according to the uniformity.
