The synthetic electric field of an ultrahigh voltage direct current (UHVDC) transmission tower in a high-altitude area is complex, which makes it difficult to protect the tower operators. Therefore, it is necessary to study the synthetic electric field. Firstly, this study establishes a mathematical model of the ion flow field and determines the solution process. Secondly, the relationship between the synthesis field of the transmission line and the ion mobility, wind speed, and the number of wire splits is analyzed using finite element simulations. Five typical operation positions are then selected for the simulation calculation of the composite field. Finally, the field measurement of the composite field is carried out, and the measurement results are compared with the simulation results. The accuracy of the simulation and theoretical analysis is verified by comparative analysis.

The transmission tower with a big span in the freezing area is very sensitive to climate. When extreme weather approaches, the tower may collapse easily. The dynamic characteristics of transmission tower structure vary under different weather conditions. This paper, taking a 500kV long span tangent tower as the research subject, will demonstrate the dynamic characteristics of such structures when the weight of wires, the icing stiffness of tower structure and the thickness of ice are considered. The results show that icing has a great impact on the dynamic characteristics of the tower structure and it can not be neglected. When the ice is thick, the contribution of icing to the stiffness of the structure should be considered. This conclusion can provide a reference for the analysis and design of similar towers in high altitude area.

Gloydius strauchi is a venomous pit viper, which is known from Sichuan, Eastern Xizang, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Shaanxi provinces. Here I report a new, genetically verified record of G. strauchi from a high-altitude area of Dêgê County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and provide information on a mild envenomation case of that species’ bite.

Abstract Systematic retention failure related on the adjacent electrostatic potential is studied with sub 20nm DRAM. Unlike traditional retention failures which are caused by gate induced drain leakage or junction leakage, this failure is influenced by the combination of adjacent signal line and adjacent contact node voltage. As the critical dimension between adjacent active and the adjacent signal line and contact node is scaled down, the effect of electric field caused by adjacent node on storage node is increased gradually. In this paper, we will show that the relationship between the combination electric field of adjacent nodes and the data retention characteristics and we will demonstrate the mechanism based on the electrical analysis and 3D TCAD simulation simultaneously.

President Park faced a leadership crisis after revelations that she relied on a confidant with no official position for key decision-making in state affairs. Heavy industry met with serious financial difficulties, and a strong anti-corruption law was enacted. North Korea tested more nuclear weapons and missiles. Controversy over the deployment of Terminal High Altitude Area Defense strained South Korea’s relations with China.

This study aims to analyze the effect of high-altitude environment on drivers’ mental workload (MW), situation awareness (SA), and driving behaviour (DB), and to explore the relationship among those driving performances. Based on a survey, the data of 356 lowlanders engaging in driving activities at Tibetan Plateau (high-altitude group) and 341 lowlanders engaging in driving activities at low altitudes (low-altitude group) were compared and analyzed. The results suggest that the differences between the two groups are noteworthy. Mental workload of high-altitude group is significantly higher than that of low-altitude group, and their situation awareness is lower significantly. The possibility of risky driving behaviours for high-altitude group, especially aggressive violations, is higher. For the high-altitude group, the increase of mental workload can lead to an increase on aggressive violations, and the situation understanding plays a full mediating effect between mental workload and aggressive violations. Measures aiming at the improvement of situation awareness and the reduction of mental workload can effectively reduce the driving risk from high-altitude environment for lowlanders.

Using the finite element analysis, this work analyzed the electric field distribution of 220kV transmission steel tower with double-circuit and composite material transmission tower with the same size, and compared the electric field effect of two materials transmission tower for surroundings. And this work compared the vertical and axial electric field distribution along transmission line of the two materials transmission tower. The results indicate the composite material tower can improve the environment of electric field near the transmission lines.
