The Internet is a popular form of information technology development in the new century, and it organizes and analyzes big data by taking effective measures to find useful information. With manpower, it is obviously not enough to be in such a huge information system, so the emergence of sustainable computing and artificial intelligence has become the core of large-scale data processing at this stage. This paper studies the application of the combined algorithm based on sustainable computing and artificial intelligence. In this paper, a new combined intelligent search algorithm is proposed by combining sustainable computing with artificial intelligence. The combination algorithm firstly analyzes the value from the aspects of ecological environment and economic benefits and studies the overall evaluation of sustainable development ability. Secondly, the energy analysis method is used to establish a reasonable comprehensive ecosystem and evaluate its impact on the sustainable development of environment and economy. Finally, the impact of resource consumption, wind speed detection, waste discharge, and utilization of renewable resources in a certain area is analyzed by simulation. Through the experimental results, on the one hand, it is proved that the data obtained by the combined algorithm are more accurate than the single algorithm; on the other hand, the combined algorithm can be further sublimated and widely used for other data detection. The combination algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively detect the required data and has high applicability.

The article explores the possibility of applying tensor method of dual networks for analysis of transport and tourism components in sustainable development of territories. The tensor method of dual networks, in contrast to other methods allows to consider the structure of the large-scale intelligence system and the processes occurring in it as one whole. Thus, we have the possible to complex analyze all the components of a large-scale system even when its structure, the number of its elements and the connections between them will be changed. Tensor equations make it possible to accurately calculate the parameters of a system when simulating various ways of connecting its elements. On the example of the analysis of the tourist transport system, the advantages of using the method of double networks to assess the impact of the system on the sustainable development of the territory are shown.

The article examines the impact of digital technologies on the sustainable development of ecological and economic systems. The main aspects that make the development of digital technologies especially relevant for environmental modernization and sustainable development are analyzed. It is shown that the large-scale use of digital technologies contributes to the development of new tools, models and methods of urban management. One of the promising areas for the development of the urban environment in these conditions is the concept of a smart city. Based on the analysis of research on the topic of smart cities, the effects of the use of the smart city model for the formation of the foundations of sustainable development of territories are noted.

The European Union (EU) consists of 27 economies characterized by different economic structures, living standards, demographic dynamics, technology development, and other factors shaping their sustainable development patterns. This chapter aims to examine the impact of total investments and R&D investments on the sustainable development of EU economies and determine how these financial investments impact sustainable competitiveness in the global market. The assessment of the sustainable development performances was performed for the period from 2008 to 2019 using the linear regression model. The key findings pointed out that total investments and R&D investments had different impacts on sustainable competitiveness aspects in old member states (OMS) and new member states (NMS). The results could help policymakers understand, adjust, and optimize sustainable competitiveness to secure economic growth in all regions and reduce the differences between OMS and NMS.

The Fintech, as the progress in technology, transforms the financial and investment landscape, creating both opportunities and challenges for all participants, risks to the stability and integrity of the financial system. The dematerialization of payments introduces new participants and new products to the market, including non-financial entities. At the next stage of the Fintech development, the importance of artificial intelligence and neurotechnology increases. As the Fintech, the artificial intelligence and the neurotechnology cross national and international regulatory boundaries, the effective cross-sectoral and cross- domain coordination and the mixed financing for global financial investment strategies are critical both domestically and internationally. The particular importance gains the possibilities of resource-maneuvering in global investment strategies, and mechanisms - interoperability - coordination of various infrastructures, digital, financial, telecommunications, IT, government regulation, international cooperation. Due to the variety of such models, it is required to identify trends and promising areas of international coordination of fintech development [9]. What are the factors drawing the development back? What new models of national and international coordination of these technologies are most effective for achieving sustainable development goals?

Aquaculture supply from China has been a remedy to meet the growing global demand for seafood in the last decades. However, output growth has decreased dramatically in China in the 2000s. Previous literature focuses on the ecosystem problems arising in intensive farming in China. In this study, we used stochastic production analysis (SPA) to estimate the technical efficiency of Chinese large yellow croaker farming, which provides implications for impediments to the sustainable development of Chinese aquaculture. Data were collected from 430 large yellow croaker farmers in nine farming areas located along the coastline of southeastern China. The technical efficiency of large yellow croak farming is estimated to be 0.829, suggesting that farming is operated close to the production frontier with a maximal margin of 17% for improvement under the current technology. It further suggests that Chinese aquaculture growth is geared by conventional factors, expansion of fishing sites, and intensive farming, and is not sustainable under the constraint of farming areas and environmental problems in China. For the sustainable development of Chinese aquaculture, it is necessary to adopt new technology through innovation. The family-based farming model is a hinder to adopting new technology that requires systematic significant investment. Large-scale industrialized farming based on research and new technology development thus should be a modern trend in the future.

Sustainable development is difficult to be achieved in mountain regions because of their sensitivity to climate change. The rapid development of mountain tourism worldwide during the last years makes the goal for sustainable mountain tourism even more challenging. Key factor to the development of mountain tourism in Europe was the function of ski centres. According to the spirit of the Brundtland Report ski centres are not in general sustainable, because they may have economic benefits but they negatively affect the other two pillars of sustainability: environment and society. The present paper focuses on a ski resort in Greece, attempting to assess the impact of mountain tourism on the sustainable development of the area. Ski resorts played a crucial role to the bloom of mountain tourism in Greece. Its evolution is a relatively recent phenomenon which has been affected by the economic crisis that afflicts the country in the past years. Demographic data compared with tourism indicators were used to assess the environmental impact of tourism in the area. Moreover, meteorological data were used in order to examine the correlation of climatic conditions and the number of visitors. The results show that the ski centre in Elatohori despite the economic benefits has a major environmental impact, especially because of the increased carbon emissions caused by the visitors of the area. Additionally, the climatic conditions (precipitation and temperature, especially the absolute maximum air temperature) affect the number of visitors.

Development of hydrocarbon resources in the Arctic is one of the priority tasks for the economy of the Russian Federation; however, such projects are associated with significant risks for the environment of nearby regions. Large-scale development of hydrocarbon resources in the Arctic should be based on the principles of sustainable development, which imply a balance between socio-economic benefits and environmental risks. The purpose of this study is to analyze the gaps in scientific knowledge on the issues of assessing sustainability of Arctic oil and gas projects (OGPs) and systematize the key problematic elements of such assessments. The analysis was carried out in terms of four key elements that determine the feasibility of implementing Arctic OGPs in the context of sustainable development: economic efficiency, social effects, environmental safety and technological availability. The methodology for conducting bibliometric analysis, which included more than 15.227 sources from the Scopus database over the period of 2005-2020, was based on PRISMA recommendations for compiling systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Methodological problems of assessing sustainability of Arctic OGPs were mapped and divided into four key sectors: consideration of factors that determine sustainability; sustainability assessment; interpretation of assessment results; sustainability management. This map can serve as a basis for conducting a series of point studies, aimed at eliminating existing methodological shortcomings of the sustainable development concept with respect to Arctic OGPs.

Subject. This article deals with the issues of functioning of the region as a system. Objectives. The article aims to identify the problems of the region's functioning as a system, develop methodological tools to monitor the sustainable development of the Siberian Federal District territories, and determine the the impact of socio-economic and environmental factors on the sustainable development of the region as a whole. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of theoretical, statistical, and empirical analyses taking into account an integrated approach. Results. The article reveals the impact of some individual components of regional development on the sustainability of the territorial system as a whole. Relevance. The results of the study can be used to analyze the sustainability of regions' development.
