This study aims to describe the impact of online mentoring activities in implementing the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on the competence of elementary school teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills. The method was a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 elementary school teachers in Indonesia. The teachers received online mentoring in implementing RADEC learning model. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure teachers’ knowledge and skills in training critical thinking. The data processing technique was carried out by calculating the mean and the percentage of each item to obtain a description of the teachers’ knowledge and skills in training students’ critical thinking before and after treatment. The data were analyzed inferentially with a paired sample t-test using SPSS version 22 software to see the impact of the treatment on teachers’ competence in training critical thinking. Based on the results of the paired-sample t-test, for both the knowledge and skills aspects, the probability value (sig) was 0.00 <0.05. This result means that there was a significant difference in the knowledge and skills of teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills before and after mentoring activities. The study results indicate that the online mentoring in implementing the RADEC learning model improved teachers’ competence in training elementary school students’ critical thinking skills.

The purpose of this study is to find out the critical thinking skills indicators and aspects of prospective elementary school teachers in mathematics-science integration lectures on electrical circuits and mathematical logic lesson. This research uses random sampling technique in which 30 first semester students were chosen randomly from one of university in Padang region West Sumatera Indonesia. This research uses Research and Development (R & D). The critical thinking skills are seen from processes, observations, and tests. The process of critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers on the average of critical thinking skills indicator is 84% in strategies and tactics, 80% in advanced clarification and 83% in elementary clarification, basic support, and inference. The result of observing the critical thinking skills of prospective elementary school teachers on the average of each lectures is significantly increased to be 81.9%. The results of pre-test and post-test were increased significantly. It is shown from N-gain of 0.7 to be medium category.

The purpose of this research is to find out the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking skills in elementary school students by using the REACT strategy. This research is a classroom action research conducted in class IV at SDN 02 VII Koto Sungai Sarik Padang Pariaman . The results showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills starting from the initial ability of 43.67, cycle 1 gained an average of 68.56, and cycle 2 gets an average of 83.37. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in mathematical critical thinking skills of elementary school students by using the REACT strategy. This study recommends that primary school teachers can use the REACT strategy as an effort to improve mathematical critical thinking skills of elementary school students.

Abstract: The science learning process emphasizes providing direct experience to develop competencies in order to be able to explore and understand the nature around scientifically. students can gain direct experience, so they can add strength to accept and apply the concepts they have learned. Integrated science learning deals with the way students think and develop critical thinking skills. These skills include the ability to think critically, think creatively, and problem solving abilities. Modules are printed teaching materials that are designed to be independently studied by students, Module development is done to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Increasing the Critical Thinking Ability of Tadris IPA Students through a Scientific Approach in Integrated Science Courses AbstractThe Integrated Science course at IAIN Bengkulu is a new subject for Tadris IPA students. This is because in 2017/2018 there were only three generations. So, the learning outcomes of this course are not very good. According to an interview with one of the students, one of the reasons is the difficulty of integrating chemical, physical, biological components simultaneously on one particular material. More specifically, students find it difficult to explain one particular material whose translation must be explained comprehensively both in terms of chemistry, physics, biology courses. Therefore, this study aims to improve learning and improve students' critical thinking skills through a scientific approach to Integrated Science courses. This research method uses classroom action research. Learning consists of two cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages, namely; planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used are observation and learning outcomes tests. Time is carried out in the even semester of the 2017/2018 academic year. The research subjects were students of the 2017/2018 academic year Tadris IPA study program who were taking the Integrated Science course. The results showed that student learning outcomes carried out during the 2 learning cycles had increased in the second cycle. In addition, students' critical thinking skills in the implementation of learning in the Integrated Science course through a scientific approach can be measured and have been successful based on indicators of success.
