Mechanical transplanted seedling must meet the requirements of standard seedling block with uniform distribution of seedlings and inter-twisting roots for rolling. This study was conducted to identify the effect of growing media on mat type seedling raised for mechanical transplanting at Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI), Gazipur during the period of 2012–2014 covering two dry and cold seasons (Boro) and one wet season (Aman). Seedling were raised on plastic tray using sandy loam and clay loam soil mixed with decomposed cow-dung, mustard cake, rice straw organic fertilizer, rice bran, poultry litter and vermicompost at the rate of 0.0, 10, 20, 30 and 40%. Rolling quality of the seedling mat decreased and seedling height increased with the increased of mixing rate of organic fertilizer except rice bran and mustard cake. Averaged across three seasons, 10 to 30% cow-dung, rice straw organic fertilizer, vermicompost, 10% poultry litter and 20 to 30% rice bran with both types of soil was found suitable for seedling mat and seedling height. However, seedling varied among the organic fertilizers with both types of soil in the order of cow-dung > rice bran > vermicompost > poultry liter > rice straw organic fertilizer > mustard cake. Clay loam soil showed better performance on rolling quality over sandy loam soil.

The present study carried on 16 sampling ponds in Rajshahi City Corporation, Rajshahi, Bangladesh during the period from August, 2005 to April, 2006. The main theme of this work was to find out the impact on present status of improved traditional culture and mixed culture in various pond. This study involved the observations made on physical characteristics, ownerships system, ponds preparation, stocking combinations of fish seeds, post stocking management and maintenance, harvesting and cost analysis of 16 improved traditional managed ponds in Rajshahi City Corporation. The primary data for the study was taken from the growers of these ponds. After collecting primary data, it was analyzed by suitable statistical method. Physical characteristics of the sampling pond were found. Water depth more or less sufficient, water colour greenish, presence of sunlight was sufficient, water source was mainly drain and rain and various shaped of pond was found. Pond was prepared by traditional method using pesticides (Phostoxin, Rotanone, Sumithion, Quick fume), lime and fertilizers (Urea, TSP., Cow dung). The fish seed were stocked in different ponds. In Sac fry was stocked in 4 nursery ponds. Post stocking management and maintenance were included inorganic fertilizer (Urea, TSP), organic fertilizer cow dung, applied weekly and supplementary feeds were used daily. It was observed that 15 ponds were made profit and one pond had loss. Two types of ownership were found (three years and five years) in the study period. During the study time two types of harvesting method were found. They were partial and final harvest. Mainly two types of production cost such as variable cost (lease, pond preparation, pesticide use, fertilizer etc.) and fixed cost (cost of net, net preservation, tax of pond etc.) were observed in the study period.Asian J. The study aims to determine the productivity of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) which is fertilized with differenttypes of organic fertilizer including its dosage. The study was conducted by using a completely randomized design(CRD) within two patterns of factors. Firstly, organic fertilizers are cow dung (S) and chicken manure (A). Secondly, dosages without fertilizer (D0), 15 tons/ha dosages (D1), 20 tons/ha dosages (D2), dosage of 25 tons/ha (D3); anddosage of 30 tons/ ha (D4) of organic fertilizers. The variables observed were plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, leaf dry weight, stem dry weight, total forage dry weight, leaf areat and leaf dry weight ratio withstem dry weight. The results showed no interaction between the type and dosage of fertilizer in which the growthand production of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) gave the same results by fertilizing with 25-30 tons/ha dosagesof chicken manure. It can be concluded that increasing the productivity of pinto beans (Arachis pintoi) can befertilized with 25-30 tons/ha dosages of chicken manure

Andisols  are characterized  by  dominance  of  amorphous  minerals  which form strong and stable bonding with organic matter, therefore Andisols always contain high organic matter. For that reason, organic fertilizer is generally not applied  on  Andisols,  because  it  is  assumed  that  it  will  not  give   any  positive effect  on  growth  or  yield.  The  experiment  was  aimed  to  evaluate  response  of mature Kartika 1  Arabica coffee variety (seven years old) cultivated on  Andisols applied with organic matter derived from cow dung manure. The experiment was carried out at Andungsari  Experimental Station located in Bondowoso District, East  Java. Elevation of the site was 1,150 m asl., with rainfall type of C (Schmidt &  Fergusson).  The  experiment  was    arranged  according  to  completely randomized  block  design  with  four  replications  to  evaluate  effect  of  ninecombination  treatments  of  application  rates  at   application  depths  of  50,  100, and 150 cm. The  range of organic fertilizers rates were  0 - 13.5 kg/tree/year. The experiment revealed that cow dung manure applications on Arabica coffee cultivated  on  Andisols  significantly  increased  yield  at  the  average  of  33% compared  to  the  untreated  crop.  No  significant  effect  of  the  treatment  onvariables of leaf water deficit and soil moisture content during dry season and root  density.  At  range  of  application  depths  of  50  -  150  cm,  the  deeper  the organic matter applications, the higher the yield will be.Key words: Andisols, Arabica coffee, organic matter, cow dung manure

Treatment of cattle wastes is one effort that is quite beneficial and can reduce the negative impacts on theenvironment One way of utilizing livestock manures or organic materials is through the use of biogas. This is rather appropriate since majority of the population reside in rural areas. Meanwhile, the wastegenerated out of the biogas digester can be used as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) with high nutrientcontents suitable for plants .This experimental study was aimed to determine the content of nitrogen ( N ) , phosphorus ( P ) ,potassium ( K ) , and sulphur ( S ) as a liquid Organic fertilizer ( LOF). This investigation was run usingone group pretest posttest design. Raw cow dung was processed in biogas digesters ( max 3 m3 ) withdetention time ( ~ ) of 7 days, 14 days and 21 days, and the content of N r P , K ,Swill be measuredbefore and after the process in the digester. In the examination before the process, the N content ( 0.10 % ), Pcontent ( 1.13 % ), content of K ( 0.59% ) content of 5 ( 1.19 % ). After the 7 , 14 and 21 days the N content increased from its original state. The highest increment was at day 21, with a large increase of ( 41.2 % ). The element P ( td ) 7 , 14 and21 days have shown a continuous decline and the highest was on day 21 that reached ( 30.08 % ). Forelements of K and S for ( td ) 7, 14 and 21 days have contmuously increased. The highest generation rateof the element K on day 21 reached ( 15.7 % ) and 5 reached ( 43.6 % ). It appeared that the longer theprocess in the digester, the N, K and S contents is increasing although it remained below the standarddeSignated in Permentan 28/ Permentan I 0T.140 I 2/2009. While the P element on the contrary wasdecreasing and there were indications of the longer the process in the digester the greater the decline. This indicated that the Pelement much needed by the bacteria in the fermentation process. An increase in the content of N, K and S as a nutrient for plant growth as generated"by the biogas digesterusing raw manure in this study have met the LOFrequirements. Effectiveness in improving N, P , K and Scontents required further research on the type of starter bacteria to be used, duration of the process ( td )and the ratio of water and cow dung in order to obtain the most effective and efficient results.

Based on the results of observations of organic waste in the village of Jogotirto Berbah, Sleman, it is known that the amount of household organic waste and cow dung from 2015 to 2020 continues to increase by ± 12% per year. In Jogotirto, the average person produces 0.36 kg of organic waste per day and 15 kg of dry cow dung per day. In 2020 the amount of household organic waste is 8,477 kg per day, while for cow dung is 16,787.75 kg per day. Analysis of the study of the establishment of the organic fertilizer industry is carried out by processing household organic waste and solid cow dung by fermentation. This fermentation process is carried out anaerobically for 21 days. The organic fertilizer processing process is carried out by mixing cow dung and household waste with varying ratios. From the results of research on making organic fertilizer, it is known that a mixture of cow dung and household waste with a mixture ratio of 2: 1 contains nitrogen compounds as much as 1.04%, organic C 17.6%, phosphorus 1.7% and potassium as much as 7.02%. Based on the analysis of investment feasibility using the Net Present Value method, the fertilizer industry can generate a profit of 200.18% for 5 years. Analysts using the ROR method can provide a profit of 31.7% per year and the analysis using the pay back method is known that the period of capital will return after 3.85 years. Based on the sensitivity test of the fertilizer industry, it is still said to be safe for changes in influencing parameters, namely the sensitivity rate of 20%. This study of the establishment of the organic fertilizer industry aims to provide advice to the government in the context of improving the community's economy.
