The purpose of this research is to demonstrate the importance behaviors as well as demographics in developing an effective consumer behavior segmentation strategy of Facebook users in Thailand. The questionnaire which comprised a twenty nine items intended user-behaviors scale. The data was collected from 503 potential respondents with valid responses received. There were 173 males respondents (34.4%) and 330 females (65.6%). The majority of the respondents were 21 years old (n=142, 28.2%). Data were initially analysed by factor analysis to develop the type of user-behaviors solution. The results indicated five distinct types of Facebook user-behaviors: Update and share, Shopping and learning, Prefer uncomplicated, Sociable, and Fast distribution. The relationship between behavior types and demographic variables was investigated through ANOVA. The results revealed that gender had no impact for all types. As for age, there was significant difference for “shopping and learning” type. The author interpreted to mean that younger people using Facebook for more shopping and learning than the other age group. These five distinct types were validated by examining their individual behavior type regarding frequency of access to Facebook and network size, there were significant differences for all of the types. The author interpreted that frequency of log in Facebook, and a large number of network size can drive Facebook usage. The empirical findings of this research indicated that 29.8% of Thai teenagers visit Facebook 2-3 times per day and 21.5% visit to Facebook more than 16 times per day. The result also indicated that the majority of the young (54.5%) have more than 181 friends on Facebook.

Purpose Relationship marketing scholars and managers have recognized the potential of customer engagement to enhance business performance and customer value. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to examine the effects that different types of customer engagement behaviors have on their perceived benefits. Design/methodology/approach The authors conducted two empirical studies. In the first step, 69 in-depth interviews were held to identify important customer engagement behaviors and targeted benefits. Then, in the second step, a quantitative study with 255 participants was used to match the identified customer engagement behaviors with the targeted benefits. Findings The results reveal that there are three aggregated types of customer engagement behaviors (“value creation-focused customer engagement”, “online-focused customer engagement” and “customer-to-customer interaction-focused customer engagement”). These types of customer engagement behaviors lead to different targeted benefits (social, relationship, autonomous, economic, altruistic and self-fulfillment benefits). Research limitations/implications A consideration of the influencing factors of the different customer-engagement-behavior types, including customers’ motives for their engagement with a company, would potentially enhance the findings. Furthermore, a closer investigation of the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics and customer engagement types can also provide deeper insights into the reasons for engaging with a certain firm or brand. Practical implications The findings provide managers with information on how to segment customers according to their customer engagement type and associated benefits and thereby enable them to manage customer engagement behaviors more profitably. Originality/value The results make a key contribution to the emerging research field of customer engagement by gaining deeper insights into the benefits associated with different customer engagement behaviors. It becomes clear that different customer engagement types aim at receiving various benefits.

The present study was conducted to determine the effects of driving stress on traffic accident risk. Specifically, the study verified whether a driver's speed desire frustration plays a control role in the relations between driving stress and traffic accident risk. As a result, a driver's speed desire frustration level played a control role in the relation between driving stress and traffic accident risk. This indicates that a driver's speed desire frustration level change driving stress sensitivities, thus changing the effects of selecting coping behavior types and causing differences in total traffic accident risk. The results show that the mere concentration on driving stress management cannot sufficiently lower the traffic accident risks caused by driving stress. This is because driving stress have indirect influences on traffic accident risk. Hence, it will be necessary to seek how to reduce driving stress and control coping behavior types in order to lower the traffic accidents risk by the stress.

In exploratory search, users sometimes combine two or more issued queries into new queries. We present such a kind of search behavior as query combination behavior. We find that the queries after combination usually can better meet users’ information needs. We also observe that users combine queries for different motivations, which leads to different types of query combination behaviors. Previous work on understanding user exploratory search behaviors has focused on how people reformulate queries, but not on how and why they combine queries. Being able to answer these questions is important for exploring how users search and learn during information retrieval processes and further developing support to assist searchers. In this paper, we first describe a two-layer hierarchical structure for understanding the space of query combination behavior types. We manually classify query combination behavior sessions from AOL and Sogou search engines and explain the relationship from combining queries to success. We then characterize some key aspects of this behavior and propose a classifier that can automatically classify types of query combination behavior using behavioral features. Finally, we summarize our findings and show how search engines can better assist searchers.

Close links between epilepsy and sleep is doubtless; however, the available literature does not allow for its unequivocal interpretation from the common pathophysiological mechanisms' perspective. GABAergic neuronal deficiency is believed to be the neurochemical background of the intimate mechanisms of sleep and epileptogenesis. Sleep impacts the epileptiform activity, with an increase in epileptiform discharge during NREM and a decrease during REM phases. Sleep deprivation may complicate the course of epilepsy, while epileptic attacks may change the sleep structure and quality. Anti-epileptic agents exert diverse effects on the sleep architectonics; they can induce sedation or increase alertness. Our potential to correct the results of the pathological interplay between sleep mechanisms and epilepsy are rather limited and are frequently overestimated by clinicians. Investigation of the interrelationship between epileptic seizures and sleep and the use of polysomnography can substantially add to the diagnosis of the epileptic syndrome and define the subsequent outcomes.

The article presents the results of theoretical and empirical study of the peculiarities of the perceptions of the image of their own body by young girls with different types of eating behavior. A meaningful analysis of the concept of "body image", "body diagram", identified factors that determine the formation of these phenomena of human corporeality. The concepts of eating behavior, types of eating behavior and the relationship between the phenomena of corporeality and eating behavior of the individual are defined. The age-related, personal and social determinants of the formation of eating behavior and the factors of its disorders are described. The results of an empirical study of the peculiarities of the perception of own body image in girls with different types of eating behavior and the level of alexethymia are presented.

The article is devoted to adolescent health as an important potential of the country’s labor and population resources. The negative trends characterising the health of this age group in recent decades require the adoption of immediate and radical measures in the field of social policy. Based on the results of the study “Adolescent Health and the Environment” (2017), analysis of statistics, various documents and publications, an attempt was made to find out the nature of changes in the attitude of adolescents to their health and the environment under the influence of social policy measures. This approach examines the relationship between sociological indicators of adolescent attitude to health (self-esteem, motives and health factors, the presence of bad habits, attitude to the environment) and the impact of means and methods of social policy of various kinds. Advocacy of a healthy lifestyle forms attitudes towards a positive attitude to health and reliance on one’s own efforts to achieve it. A lack of attention to environmental issues at the regional level leads to a decrease in environmental concerns among these issues among young people. These processes can be traced by comparing the responses of the respondents of two cities (Ulan-Ude and Ulyanovsk) with significant differences, and by analysing the content components of the social policies of these regions. The conclusion is drawn about the effectiveness of the measures that form the specific behavior types of adolescents in the field of health.

The present study was conducted to determine the effects of driving stress on traffic accident risk. Specifically, this study verified the effects of driving stress on drivers' coping behaviors and the aptitude of mediating models through which coping behavior types affect traffic accident risk. As a result, driving stress directly increased traffic accident risk and indirectly affected them through(good and bad) coping behavior types. This indicates that driving stress directly and indirectly affect traffic accident risk by the medium of(good and bad) coping behavior types in multilateral ways.(Commercial and leisure-purposed) driving purposes showed significant differences in the relations between driving stress and traffic accident risk. Specifically, commercial drivers were affected by driving stress, compared to leisure-purposed drivers. As they were unable to defer or abandon driving even under driving stress, commercial drivers responded to the stress more sensitively and increased traffic accident risk by selecting inappropriate(bad) coping behaviors.

A review is given of information on the galactic-centre region obtained from recent observations of the 21-cm line from neutral hydrogen, the 18-cm group of OH lines, a hydrogen recombination line at 6 cm wavelength, and the continuum emission from ionized hydrogen. Both inward and outward motions are important in this region, in addition to rotation. Several types of observation indicate the presence of material in features inclined to the galactic plane. The relationship between the H and OH concentrations is not yet clear, but a rough picture of the central region can be proposed.
