Two Major Antecedents of Salesforce Motivation: Salesforce Control Systems and Compensation Plans

Salesforce motivation is important for the success of the organization. Unless and until the salesforce is motivated, the organization will not be able to prosper. There are various factors that are responsible for salesforce motivation. It has been found that out of these many factors, the impact of salesforce control system and salesforce compensation plans is inevitable. Therefore, this study makes an attempt to analyze the impact of these two factors on salesforce motivation by following a review of selected studies from the year 1977 to 2014. Till now, none of the previous studies have analyzed the impact of these two factors on motivation. The review of studies reveals that salesforce control systems and compensation plans should be taken into consideration when motivation of salespeople is talked about as they have an impact on intrinsic as well as extrinsic motivation of salespeople. Based on the findings of the review, a framework is designed and implications and directions for future research are stated.

The uncertainty of the source information is used to solve key tasks in an intelligent automated thermal process control system affects the calculation of control actions, the implementation of equipment optimal operating modes and, as a result, leads to degraded reliability. As a rule, this type of information can be qualitative (the use of expert knowledge) or quantitative in nature. In this regard, it is extremely important to reduce the impact of uncertainty. The aim of the study is to identify the types and origins of uncertainty in the source information used by an intelligent automated process control system and to develop approaches to reduce its impact on the reliability of power equipment operation. The approaches used to ensure the specified indicators of reliability, efficiency and environmental friendliness in modern intelligent automated process control systems are based on predictive strategies, according to which the technical condition of equipment and specific degradation processes are predicted. This means that various types of uncertainty can have a significant negative impact. To reduce the influence of uncertainty of the initial information that affects the reliability of power equipment operation, the use of artificial neural networks is proposed. Their application opens the possibility to predict the occurrence of equipment defects and failures based on retrospective data for specified forecast time intervals. A method for reducing the impact of anomalies contained in the source information used in an intelligent process control system for energy facilities is demonstrated. Data omissions and outliers are investigated, the elimination of which reduces the impact of uncertainty and improves the quality of solving key problems in intelligent automated process control systems. Experimental studies were carried out that made it possible to identify the mathematical methods for removing omissions and anomalies in the source information in the best way. Methodological aspects of eliminating various types of uncertainty that exist in managing of power facilities by means of intelligent automated process control systems at the key stages of the power equipment life cycle are described.

Research background: The research, which is the subject of the paper, is based on the global expansion of the use of electronic access control systems using biometric data for user verification. Due to the globalization of products from foreign markets to Slovakia, there is a competition between suppliers. The disadvantage is that organizations that are considering procuring an electronic access control system focus their attention only on its price. Globalization and global use have neglected the skills gap between European, American, and Asian markets. Purpose of the article: The paper will aim to point out, through a case study, the financial and functional differences of electronic access control systems. In the case study, a comparison of three different systems with the possibility of procurement on the European, American, and Asian markets will be performed on the building - administrative building. Methods: The article will mainly use methods such as the global method and the optimization model of the financial plan. As well as a case study, the cooperation of achieved results and analysis of possibilities of foreign markets. Findings & Value added: The results achieved by the paper will be globally usable in the conditions of European countries. These will be the conclusions of a case study that will point to the appropriateness of choosing an electronic access control system using biometric features in a standard office building. We can also consider the creation of a project budget usable for organizations as one of the added values.

The purpose of this research was to examine the impact of financial literacy and enterpreneurial mindset on organization commitment. The respondents used were 21 respondents. By using the regression analysis, the results obtained show that financial literacy and enterpreneurial mindset had an influence on organization commitment. Therefore, it is necessary for the organizations to increase the two factors mentioned. Relating to suggestions for future research, it is necessary to add more specify factors on the dimension of organization commitment.

Abstract The paper deals with an analysis of automatic control system with continuous and discrete PID controllers. A method of tuning the parameters of the continuous controller is presented, which is optimal according to the ITAE criterion. The behavior of control systems with discrete controllers whose parameters were tuned using the mentioned method are described. The impact of changes in the sampling period of controlled signal on the control quality is shown. Changes of the values of optimal parameters of discrete PID controllers in relation to changes of the sampling rate of controlled signal are characterized.

Many hospitality consumption experiences are shared with fellow consumers such as acquaintances, friends, or family members. Yet research examining the impact of fellow consumers’ presence on consumers’ donation behaviors is scant. To bridge that gap, the current research examines how the presence of fellow consumers influences consumers’ donation behaviors in a restaurant setting. Results from our experiment reveal that the impact of fellow consumers’ presence depends on two factors: observability of the donation and donation appeal type. Specifically, we found that when the act of donating is unobservable by others and the donation appeal highlights self-benefits, the presence of fellow consumers drives individuals to exhibit more favorable attitude and higher levels of donation intention. Conversely, when the act of donation is observable by others and the donation appeal portrays other benefits, the presence of fellow consumers makes individuals to exhibit less favorable attitude and lower levels of donation intention. Furthermore, our mediation analyses show that anticipated emotional benefits is the underlying psychological mechanism explaining the effects. We discuss the theoretical contributions and managerial implications of our findings as well as limitations and opportunities for future research.

Overtime, as trends are steady changing, companies are steady growing. From online business to multiple locations across the globe, companies are not just growing in revenue and reputation but also in staff. Most companies focus on building processes and relationships amongst staff through thorough communication. However, sometimes, it can be difficult in implementing processes and relationships with staff due to reliability and power. With these two factors, many people can either thrive in their interactions or otherwise, be unsuccessful.In many studies, reliability and power are two known components that helps reflect performance in a supply chain. However, what bridges the gap between reliability and power? What makes an individual validate a person as reliable and powerful? What makes a process implemented in the supply chain reliable and powerful? This paper implies that trust is a component that bridge the gap between the two constructs. An individual or process that is reliable will often be trusted and obtain powerful exchanges. This paper will address and evaluate the relationship between trust, power, and reliability. The paper will briefly show a constructed model to illustrate the relationship between the variables and how it affects performance in a supply chain. Next, limitations of research will be addressed followed by suggestions for future research.

Networked control systems (NCSs) are attracting the attention of control system engineers. The NCS has created a paradigm shift in control system technology. An NCS consists of control loops joined through communication networks in which both the control signal and the feedback signal are exchanged between the system and the controller. However, its materialization faces several challenges as it requires the integration of advanced control and communication techniques. This paper presents an extensive review of NCSs from the perspective of control system design. The evolution of NCSs is broadly divided in three phases, namely NCSs prior to 2000, NCSs during 2001–2010, and NCSs from 2011 onwards. This division corresponds to the initial status, intermediate status, and the recent status of the developments in the design of NCSs. The advancement of different control techniques during these phases has been discussed comprehensively. This paper also describes the transition of control systems form continuous domain to networked domain, which makes it better than the traditional control systems. Some important practical applications, which have been implemented using NCSs, have also been discussed. The thrust areas for future research on NCS have also been identified.

Internal control helps organizations achieve their objectives and maintain and improve their performance, and the performance of their employees. The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Tread Way Commission issued an Internal Control — Integrated Framework, to help organizations in designing, implementing, and conducting internal control and assessing their internal control systems’ effectiveness, this Integrated Framework, included the five factors of control system, which are Control Environment, Risk Assessment, Control Activities, Information and Communication, and Monitoring Activities. The research examines the relationship between internal control system of an organization and employee engagement, and the effect that such has on the performance of the employee in the organization, and job satisfaction. This research primarily aims at finding out the impact of internal control system on employee performance in Jordanian companies, especially those in the Jordanian banking sector. Internal control systems will influence employees’ performance in two ways, through having an effective internal control system, or through not having an effective internal control system. The research therefore tends to evaluate the extent of adherence to internal control System in Jordanian banks, its impact on the performance of employees, and finally the recommendations of the researcher.

The purpose of the present study is to expand upon the tenets of Self-Determination Theory within a context of social media (SM). Specifically, we are assessing the impact of dimensions of autonomous motivation on Millennials’ support for charitable causes, in the social media domain. It has been said that ‘Millennials’ (those born after 1980) will be the most influential generation since the Baby Boomers. They are socially aware and civic minded and engaged in helping societal causes. Furthermore, the relationship the Millennial shares with arguably the most influential form of modern technology, social media, is truly groundbreaking. Social media has proven itself to be a powerful tool, not only for businesses, but also for society as a whole. The total sample consisted of 592 participants from two separate studies: Study 1 (CURE Foundation Denim Night Party in support of breast cancer awareness) and Study 2 (Dans la rue/Five Days for the Homeless charity to raise awareness for youth homelessness). Results indicated that integrated extrinsic motivation significantly predicted online-, cause-, and event-related behaviour intentions, while intrinsic motivation to know and experience stimulation significantly predicted all three behaviour intentions. Both the managerial and theoretical implications of this study are addressed herein, as well as future research avenues.

The impact of management control systems (MCS) on organizations performance empirical research has been the subject of numerous studies during the past decade in developed and emerging economies. In the contemporary competitive, complex and changing global business environment, firms are being challenged to adopt business models that enable them to address the strategic uncertainties and risks they face in their business environments. The main issue of this study is that management accounting researchers argue that one of the ways firms can continually rejuvenate themselves to survive and succeed in these complex and uncertain environments is to understand the role of management control systems in Formulating a business strategy in management control systems that yields a sustainable competitive advantage which in turn lead to enhance organizations performance. The purpose of this study is attempting to wading in the literature review related to The impact of management control systems on organizations performance based on 10 articles published in a wide variety of journals. Discuss some methodological issues related to stage in the organizational life cycle and, finally, review the main results related to this topic and provide suggestions for future research Literatures indicate several factors that could possibly influence management control systems and organizations performance. It is worth highlighting the numerous factors as it is possible to conduct the proper orientation of influence of management control systems on performance.
