Learner-centered pedagogy (LCP) is one of the best approaches in developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes of learners to cope with the changing world. Implementation of LCP practices tend to vary from one context to another. It is within this perspective that this study was conducted with the aim of investigating the teachers’ attitudes toward LCP in public primary schools located in Nyarugenge District. A sample size of 165 teachers was selected from 13 public and government-aided primary schools. Simple percentages, and chi-square analysis were used to analyze data, and the findings were triangulated with questionnaire and interview responses. Results show that primary school teachers manifested negative attitude toward LCP. The study also indicates that both institutional and individual factors, such as insufficient and inadequate trainings, lack of clear indicators on LCP, and lack of prior experience on LCP among colleges and university tutors during preservice training, affect the attitude of teachers. It is further revealed that gender does not influence the attitude of teachers; however, training was found to be significant at .05 level. It is therefore important that authorities ensure proper training to head teacher, school subject leaders, and teachers on LCP and avail clear indicators on those methods.

Globalization and demand for twenty first century skills has led countries to adapt Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). Kenya embarked on curriculum reforms from content based to CBC in 2018. Studies have reported minimal use of CBC teaching-learning approaches in pre-primary schools in Nairobi City County. Teachers are the key implementers of the Curriculum, yet their preparedness to implement the Curriculum in public pre-primary schools remains unknown. Therefore, this study purposed to establish the preparedness of pre-primary school teachers in implementing the CBC in public pre-primary schools in the County. The Concern-Based Adoption Model by Hall, Hord and Rutherford (2006) was used in this study.  The study targeted a population of 900 comprising of 450 pre-primary school teachers, 225 ECD Center Managers and 225 head teachers in all the 225 public pre-primary schools in Nairobi City County. Twenty percent of the target population was sampled to participate in the study; therefore the study had a sample size of 180, which comprised of 45 head teachers, 45 center managers and 90 pre-primary school teachers. A Questionnaire, interview schedules, observation checklist and a document analysis guide were used to collect data. Pilot study was conducted in two public pre-primary schools in the County, validity of the research instruments was determined through expert judgment whereas reliability of the questionnaires was determined through split-half method and a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.799 was obtained. Qualitative data was analyzed thematically whereas quantitative data was summarized using percentages and frequencies and Chi-square test was used to test the hypotheses. This was facilitated by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences Version 21. Findings showed that majority (65.9%) of the teachers had not received any training on CBC, whereas 34.1% of the teachers were trained. The study established a significant relationship between the teachers’ extent of training in CBC and their ability to implement the curriculum with a significance value of p=0.000<0.05. The study concluded that the teachers were not adequately prepared to implement the Curriculum. Thus, recommended that the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Nairobi City County Government should adequately create a regular in-service training program to equip teachers with necessary knowledge and skills that will help them implement the curriculum effectively.

Computational thinking (CT) as one of the 21st century skills enters early years education. This paper aims to study the worldwide tendencies of teaching CT through computing in primary education and primary school teachers? understanding of CT. A survey of 52 countries has been performed and complemented by a qualitative study of 15 countries. In order to identify teachers? understanding-level of CT and its integration approach in the class activities, a case study of 110 in-service teachers from 6 countries has been performed. The implications of the research results may be useful for primary school educators, educational initiatives, government authorities, policy makers, e-learning system and content developers dealing with support for teachers aiming to improve their CT professional development qualification.

Due to pandemic effects all over the world, the sudden switch to distance education has doubtlessly affected primary schools more adversely in education. Concerning the pandemic period, this study aimed to examine primary school teachers' attitudes on distance education. More specifically, the survey study with 173 primary school teachers’ participation examined whether teachers' attitudes towards distance education have a meaningful difference in terms of gender, age, and teaching experience. The data which was collected via the “Attitude Scale on Distance Education” were analyzed through independent samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between gender and primary school teachers' attitudes towards distance education; however, there is a statistically significant difference according to age and teaching experience. In addition, primary school teachers' attitudes towards distance education were negative. The possible reasons for these results were discussed and some implications were presented for research, practice, and policymakers.

This study investigated the Israeli primary school teachers' attitudes towards using digital educational games in classroom. Through adopting a descriptive analytical approach, the required made sure that the goals of this research. The researcher employed the purposive sampling method for selecting a sample. The selected sample consists from 300female and male primaryIsraeli primary school teachers. Those teachers were selected from 25 primary schools. Those schools are located in the Northern District in Israel. Questionnaire forms were distributed via email to the selected teachers. 288 forms were retrieved. The response rate is 96%. Through the use of the SPSS software, the data collected from the sampled teaches were analysed. The researcher concluded that Israeli primary school teachers show positive attitudes towards using digital educational games in classroom.  Such use improves students’ leadership, problem solving and critical thinking skills and raise their self-confidence and academic achievement levels. However, it doesn’t allow instructors to identify the extent of progress achieved by learner. The researcher recommends providing teachers in Israel with professional development courses about modern teaching methods and the significance of employing digital educational games.

This chapter examines the main factors of Greek kindergarten against primary school teachers' attitudes towards ICT in class. The participants of this research were drawn from teachers of public schools in the area of Athens and Crete (Greece). A 5-point Likert scale questionnaire with 30 questions designed to assess attitudes of teachers toward computers and their computer knowledge in primary schools learning environment. Varimax with Kaiser Normalization was applied to extract the main five factors of kindergarten teachers' attitudes. Also, a three 2-way MANOVA was performed between the kindergarten and primary school teachers to see the interactions of these main factors on: a) the ICT knowledge of teachers, b) the frequency of using ICT at home by the teachers and, c) the ICT use in the teaching process. Finally, the changes in the main factors of kindergarten and primary school teachers were discussed in the hope that they may provide useful information on the school curriculum.

Background: Vitamin A is one of the important nutrients that are fat-soluble and stored in the liver, cannot be made by the body, so it must be fulfilled from the outside (essential). 40 million children suffer from vitamin A deficiency and 13 million children show clinical symptoms of eye disorders. Pariaman Health Center is the region with the lowest coverage of vitamin A, which is 74% of 1546 toddlers. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers with giving vitamin A for toddler in Pariaman Health Center, pariaman city, 2017. Methods: This type of analytic descriptive research using the approach is cross sectional. The study was conducted in Pariaman Health Center in September 2017. The study population was mothers who had toddler who were in the work area of Pariaman Health Center totaling 1,546 people, 93 samples were obtained using accidental sampling method Data processing was Univariate and Bivariate using Chi Square analysis computerized. Results: Univariate results showed that 51.6% had low knowledge, 64.5% had a negative attitude, 64.5% gave vitamin A capsules for toddlers. There is a significant relationship between the knowledge of mothers with giving vitamin A for toddlers, p value 0.001 <0.05. There was a significant correlation between the attitudes of mothers with giving vitamin A, p value 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion: The low coverage of vitamin A in Pariaman Health Center was apparently influenced by a lack of knowledge and also a negative mother's attitude. It is expected that the health center will further improve health services to the community, should counseling about vitamin A be held every month so that mothers' understanding of vitamin A increases

Objective of this research; 1) determine the perception of ranchers against the properties and behavior of the leadership of the companion in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 2) analyze the relationship between productivity breeder with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah 3) identify the relationship perceptions of ranchers against the leadership companion with productivity of livestock in the Society of Al-Awwaliyah , The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires which stem from ranchers while secondary data sourced from literature in the form of books and articles. Data processing was performed using Chi-square analysis using SPSS software version 21. One of the factors relating to the productivity of ranchers is the perception of ranchers against the leadership of their companion. Leadership companion views of the nature and behavior of which is owned by a companion. Productivity ranchers indirectly related to the productivity of the cattle business. Characteristics breeder visits of age, years of education, experience ranchers, and businesses in addition to ranchers. The results of data analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between business other than ranchers with ranchers productivity. The relationship between the perception of the nature of the companion breeder with productivity ranchers produce Pearson Chi-Square value is 9.751 and Asymp. Sig. (2-sided) of 0.002. This is due to interest ranchers against leadership qualities possessed by a companion who produce prolific ranchers. Ranchers consider that a companion of his leadership qualities are ideal as a companion.

This study aims to describe the effect of sanctions (individual sanctions, collective sanctions, and absence of sanctions) on cooperative behavior of individuals with medium trust in the context of corruption. Both collective sanctions and individual sanctions, are systemic, which means sanctioning behavior is exercised not by each individual but by the system. Cooperative behavior in this context means choosing to obey rules, to reject acts of corruption and to prioritize public interests rather than the personal interests. Conversely, corruption is an uncooperative behavior to the rules, and ignores the public interest and prioritizes personal interests. Research subjects were 62 students. The Chi-Square Analysis was used to see the association between the variables and the logistic regression model was applied to describe the structure of this association. Individual sanction is recommended as punishment to medium trust individuals to promote cooperative behavior in the context of corruption. The results showed that individuals with medium trust had more cooperative behavior.
