Thailand has now become the aging society. However, the fact that the majority of Thai wageworkers do not effectively save for their retirement may result in several elderly living below the poverty threshold during retirement. The objectives of this research article were to find the factors determining Thai wageworkers’ retirement contribution. Founded on the theory of life-cycle hypothesis, this article employed a sample of 300 wageworkers in the Northeast of Thailand and performed a statistical analysis using the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach using age as a moderator. The empirical results revealed that expected income, wealth accumulation, career status, and health status were the main constructs influencing an individual’s ability to contribute to his or her retirement. This article suggested that a wageworker should first contribute his or her income through wealth accumulation schemes such as investment in financial assets, for example, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and properties, investment in other business as a second job, and simply cash deposit. The results suggested that wealth accumulation was the most important mediator allowing a wageworker to contribute to retirement effectively in the long term. This article also proposed thoughtful research implications for wageworkers, employers, and the Thai government. This article recommended that the government and authorized bodies (e.g., the Bank of Thailand and the Stock Exchange of Thailand) should provide more investment alternatives and improve investment knowledge of the citizens. This would allow the citizens to have sufficient financial knowledge to invest in riskier financial instruments that potentially give better returns such as stocks.

Increased economic growth is positively associated with environmental pollution. The concept of environmental accounting has driven the company’s ability to minimize environmental problems. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of profitability and media coverage on the quality of environmental disclosures. The population in this study is a company engaged in mining, energy, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverages that are listed on the Stock Exchange in 2012-2016. Samples were chosen by a purposive method so that 35 companies were selected so that 135 units of analysis were obtained. The data analysis method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Smart PLS 3.0 analysis tool. The results showed that media coverage had a significant positive effect on the quality of environmental disclosures. While profitability is not associated with the quality of environmental disclosures. The practical implications of this study, the results are expected to contribute to the government and stock exchange authorities in order to take immediate action in making policies related to environmental management for listed companies and their reporting to stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of investment opportunity set (IOS), profitability on firm value is intervening by stock prices. This study used 14 plantation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2013-2017 with a sampling technique that was purposive sampling using structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The results showed that IOS had no affect stock prices. Profitability has a positive effect on stock prices. IOS has a positive effect on company value. Profitability had no effect the value of the company. Stock prices have a positive effect on firm value. IOS had no effect the value of the company intervening by stock prices. Profitability has a positive effect on firm value intervening by stock prices. The advice given is for company management and the government to carry out domestic and international synergies. Domestic synergy aims to create product downstream, political, legal and economic stability. While international synergy aims to secure the export portion, sustainable plantation socialization and open new markets

This paper examines the relationship between enterprise characteristics, capital structure and operational performance among a sample of 592 companies listed on the Vietnamese stock exchange during the three years 2012-2014. Whilst most previous studies in this area have used multiple regression as the main method of analysis, the paper follows the examples of Titman and Wessels (1988) and Chang et al. (2009) and adopts a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. Specifically, path analysis was employed to analyze simultaneous relationships among the various variables. The results suggest that for listed enterprises in Vietnam, operational performance has a negative effect on both of the measures of capital structure considered, namely long-term debt/total assets ratio (LDR) and short-term debt/total assets ratio (SDR), while the extent of state ownership has a positive effect on LDR and enterprise age has a positive effect on SDR only. The ratio of long-run to total assets affects the two capital structure measures in opposite ways: the effect is positive on LDR and negative on SDR. The evidence was considered to be inconclusive on the question of direction of causality between operational performance and LDR.

Over the last 15 years, public-private partnership (PPP) has been acknowledged by many countries as an innovative approach to the procurement of public projects. In the long term of concession periods, Residual Value Risk (RVR) is a structured risk system which would happen at any time in the whole life before transfer of PPP/PFI projects, but consequently causes the Residual Value (RV) that the Government takes over cannot fulfill the specifications. So the RVR factor system was identified through the literature review and a worldwide structured questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the significance of the identified risk factors of RVR. Furthermore, the formation path of RVR was verified based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Through the proposed formation path of RVR, both the public sector and private sector can monitor the risks to help improve the implementation of PPP projects and achieve PPP project success.

This study analyzes the main criteria and indicators in strengthening local institutions in charge of forest management towards dealing with forest fire incidence in Riau Province, Indonesia. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and questionnaires and analyzed with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and other Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques such as SPSS and Smart PLS. Moreover, only 87 out of the 120 questionnaires administered to related stakeholders were retrieved. Four variables, including Organization, Capacity, Authority, and Governance, were measured using ten indicators for each. The results showed a significant correlation between local institutions and these variables in solving forest management issues. It means there is a need to strengthen the institutions' structural plans to ensure the effective management of natural resources, and this is achievable through the support and help of the government and communities. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Videotron media ads served in Surakarta using the Consumer Decision Model (CDM) Analysis. Viewed ad serving costs in videtron large enough it is necessary to study the effectiveness of the ads served on videtron. The model that is used in measuring the effectiveness of an ad in this research is the Consumer Decision Model (CDM). The research objective was to determine the effect the message of the ad (Information), branding (Brand Recognition), the formation of an attitude (Attitude), the level of confidence in the message (Confidence), and intention to purchase (Intention) market target after seeing ad impressions through Videotron. The study population is a society in Surakarta with sampling method is purposive sampling of 200 respondents Data analysis technique using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which resulted in the conclusion that the message of the ad (Information) positive effect but not significant with branding (Brand Recognition), formation attitude (attitude), and the level of confidence in the message (confidence). Brand recognition is positive and significant impact on the confidence and attitude while confidence and attitude positive and significant effect on the intention to purchase (Intention) market target after seeing ad impressions through Videotron. Outcomes of this study are: enrichment of teaching materials, especially marketing management, Scientific publications (national journals) and an input for an advertiser, the advertising company and the Government of Surakarta about the effectiveness of the ads served through Videotron so they can be a policy in the future.Keywords: Videotron, advertising, Consumer Decision Model, Information, Brand Recognition, Attitude, Confidence, and Intention

Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and customer satisfaction theory, we constructed a satisfaction model for supply–demand satisfaction for community-based senior care (SSCSC) combined with the psychological perspective of the elderly, and four dimensions of basic living needs (BLNs), living environment (LE), personal traits (PTs), and livability for the aged (LA) were selected to construct the model. The data were obtained from 296 questionnaires from seniors over 50 years old (or completed by relatives on their behalf, according to their actual situation). Twenty-two observed variables were selected for the five latent variables, and their interactions were explored using structural equation modeling. The results showed that LA was the most significant factor influencing SSCSC, and it was followed by BLNs and LE. PTs did not show a direct effect on LA, but they could have an indirect effect on SSCSC through influencing BLNs and LE. Based on the current state of community aging satisfaction, we propose to establish a community elderly care service system based on the basic needs of the elderly population, providing differentiated and refined elderly care services and improving the level of aging-friendly communities. This study provides references for the government to formulate relevant policies and other supply entities to make strategic decisions and has important implications for further enhancing community elderly services to become an important part of the social security system for the elderly.

Encompassing firms to apply green policy in a holistic management practices are strongly required in order to maintain competitive advantages and experience long-term marketing performance. This current empirical research is aimed to fill the lack of empirical findings and empirical studies on firm's innovative concept. Green-based product innovation, green management practices and green corporate image are presented as the antecedents and postulated as the sources of sustaining firm competitive advantages. A questionnaire-based survey was deployed to collect data from Large Scale Enterprises in Indonesia with Top Management, Operational and Marketing Managers served as respondents. 500 questionnaires were mailed and 388 were valid for further analysis. Data was analyzed by using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via AMOS statistical software. Statistical findings demonstrated that green-based product innovation, green management practices and green corporate image significantly has a positive affect to sustain firm competitive advantages which is led to enhance long term marketing performance. However, green-based product innovation plays insignificant direct relationship on long term marketing performance. This study discusses some managerial implications for enterprises and recommendations on a basis of green implementation.

The unsustainable operations of producers account for significant carbon emission and subsequent adverse impacts on nature. This study aims to identify the factors that influence consumers’ green buying behavior. The research focuses on the exploratory testing of theories using standardized questionnaires and interviews. Using a convenience selection approach, questionnaire surveys were used to gather primary data from a sample size of 305. The sample demographic reflects people who often make purchases; data were also obtained from shopping centers and elsewhere. The hypothesis testing of variables measured via five-point Likert scale questions was performed using structural equation modeling. We applied closed-ended questions relating to green buying behavior for the convenience of respondents. The empirical result established the effects of attitude, perceived severity of environmental problems, environmental concern, and subjective norms on Bangladeshi consumers’ green buying behavior. Additionally, it was discovered that attitude mediates the association between the perceived environmental responsibility and green buying behavior. Therefore, the government should play a constructive role in educating the public and promoting green business initiatives through improved coordination and legislative intervention.

Absorption capacity of knowledge is the concept which is been introduced in this situation. This phenomenon describes why some countries are in a better condition with a view to technology. Many countries believe that the power to stay in the battle and excel other competitors directly depends on their abilities in taking knowledge. Many countries have used their technological gap with developed countries as an accelerator for improving their absorption capacity. In this study, authors tried to produce a complete definition for absorption capacity through analyzing different research. Then with using expert opinions, a categorization for dimensions of absorption capacity will be prepared by using the structural equation modeling analysis, and finally a model for measuring absorption capacity is suggested. The results show effective dimensions in 5 different section. Studies depict that the most important one is keeping which could be a fundamental for long-term policies of 1404.
