Based on social exchange theory, this research developed a theoretical model on the impact of the internal corporate social responsibility (ICSR) of platform enterprises on employee innovation performance. Based on 414 employee data from 56 platform enterprises, hierarchical linear modeling was employed to test the model at two time points. The results revealed that the ICSR of platform enterprises has a significant positive effect on employee innovation performance, and employee intrapreneurship mediates the relationship; that is, the ICSR of platform enterprises promotes employees’ innovation performance by stimulating their intrapreneurship. Employees’ moral identity can also positively moderate the relationship between the ICSR of platform enterprises and employee intrapreneurship; the stronger the employees’ moral identity is, the stronger the positive impact of the platform’s ICSR is on the employees’ intrapreneurship. The relationship between the ICSR and employee innovation performance was clarified under platform economics. The current conclusions can guide platform enterprises’ innovation and sustainable development efforts.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on dividend policy in the French context. In addition, the authors seek to determine if the individual components of CSR influence dividend policy. Design/methodology/approach This study uses panel data methodology for a sample of French non-financial firms between 2008 and 2018. Generalized least squares method is used to estimate the models. Findings Using panel data methodology for a sample of 825 observations for the period 2008–2018, this study finds a positive impact of CSR practices on dividend policy. The authors also find that individual components of CSR positively influence dividend policy. To check the robustness of the results, this study further runs a sensitivity tests, including an alternative measure of dividend policy, all of which confirm the findings. Practical implications This study has examined the impact of CSR on dividend policy in France and may have implications for regulatory, investors, analysts and academics. First, the involvement in CSR best practices encourages companies to pay more dividends to investors. Therefore, investors are more motivated to invest in socially responsible firms than socially irresponsible firms. Second, given the association of CSR with the quality of accounting information and financial markets, regulators should step up recommendations relating to the different societal dimensions of CSR. Originality/value While little previous work has focused on the causal link between CSR and dividend policy, this research is the first, to the authors’ knowledge, to have looked at the impact of CSR on dividend policy in France.

In recent years, consumers are increasingly interested in corporate social responsibility activities for the community. Many companies have begun to focus on CSR activities as it can contribute to improving the company's image in customer's perception. In Vietnam, although there are also some studies about CSR, the quantity is limited and there are certain limitations. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the relationship between CSR activities and customer loyalty through trust, customer company identify, and satisfaction. With the data being collected by survey questionnaires, the authors test the model and research hypotheses by using PLS-SEM techniques. The results show that CSR activities have a positive impact on customer loyalty through factors of trust, customer company identify, and customer satisfaction. This study helps business managers to develop effective policies and to have a new perspective on CSR activities as well as its values. In addition, the positive outlook of the customers on the business will bring many benefits, contributing to improving the brand value and reputation, enhancing competitive advantages towards sustainable development.

The study conducted a theoretical review and review of previous studies shows that the research gap is the correlation between social responsibility factors, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation and business performance. The practical context of the tourism service industry in Vietnam is also necessary and suitable for research. The study's overall objective is to propose and test a model on the relationship between corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategy, corporate reputation, and business performance. In the case of the study, it is a travel service business in Ho Chi Minh City. The research methodology of the research is a mixed-method, performed sequentially as follows: the first qualitative research through interviews with 10 experts to consider the necessity of the research problem in Vietnam, to adjust and supplement the scales for research concepts; Quantitative research with a questionnaire survey. According to the quota principle (quota), the sample was selected with a sample size of 218 travel companies to test the proposed theoretical research model. A second qualitative study was performed to aid the interpretation of the results from quantitative data analysis. Research results have identified stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tourists, travel businesses, local authorities and local people. The relationships between research concepts are confirmed, including corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies that have a positive impact on corporation reputation, corporate social responsibility is found to have a positive impact on green marketing strategies, corporate social responsibility, green marketing strategies, and corporate reputation all have positive effects on business results. At the same time, the enterprise's characteristics in terms of the main type of business and the size of the business are identified as having differences in the relationship between research concepts.

The paper presents the results of the study of the manifestations, trends of business social responsibility during the pandemic and gives the dominant directions of its practical implementation. The paper provides the results of the analysis of the evolutionary development of views and approaches to theoretical and conceptual understanding of corporate social responsibility. The impact of business social responsibility on the results of its activities and the quality of relationships with stakeholders is revealed. A study was also conducted on the transformation of directions and tools for the practical implementation of CSR initiatives before and during the spread of the pandemic. Potential directions for establishing a constructive conversation business structure with society, which will have a positive impact on the success and stability of the business, as well as on social development in the current environment have been identified. A study was carried out to evaluate the perception of the social responsibility by domestic business organizations and awareness of its trends, and the need for its implementation and advantages. A comparative analysis of the development of corporate social responsibility in the world and in Ukraine has been conducted. Trends and mechanisms that have a transformational impact on the formation and implementation of CSR in modern conditions of development are identified. The priority vectors of CSR programs of international business entities in the face of a pandemic are outlined. The necessity of developing a business process management model based on corporate and social responsibility tools has been formulated, taking into account the desire of business to conduct successful activities in a highly dynamic global environment.

This paper selected 119 listed companies from 2008 to 2018 in mainland China as samples, aiming to further explore the different impacts of environmental corporate social responsibility (ECSR) on corporate performance in the long and short term, and explore the mediating role of corporate green marketing performance. The results show that CSR has a significant impact on the return on assets and enterprise value in the short term. In the long-term, the adoption of green marketing innovation has a positive impact on enterprise performance. In general, the results of this paper are of great significance for managers and external investors to implement decisions. In addition, the research results can help enterprises improve their environmental responsibility and green innovation in order to improve their competitiveness.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an integral part of firms’ strategies in their effort to increase their positive impact on society. This study investigates the impact of a CSR initiative, known as “The LAB Project”, implemented by the TITAN– Sharrcem Company, on the rural community of Hani I Elezit in Kosovo. The LAB project aims to support the establishment and operation of agricultural and food-related start-ups and, most importantly, to ensure their sustainability. The sample of the study consists of 174 area residents. This research examines local residents’ perceptions about a) the TITAN-Sharrcem operations in the area, b) the LAB project’s main contribution to the local community,  c) the project’s overall performance, d)  the profitability of the start-ups created by the project, and e)  the project’s effect on the community’s quality of life. Overall, the results reveal that the project has set the foundation for the community’s sustainable development. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first research on the effect of such initiatives in the region. PurposeThis paper aims to examine the impact of three key factors — corporate social responsibility (CSR) awareness, CSR affordability and CSR management system (CSRMS) sophistication—on the CSR performance of Japanese firms.Design/methodology/approachUsing responses to 36 items developed on the Global CSR standard of ISO26000, two CSR indexes were constructed to assess the CSR management system sophistication and performance of Japanese firms. The relationship between the three key variables (CSR awareness, affordability and management system sophistication) and CSR performance was then examined through a partial least squares (PLS)-based structural equation model. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 146 firms.FindingsThe results of the study found a positive relationship between CSR performance and three exogenous variables (CSR awareness, affordability and management system sophistication). Furthermore, the study found that CSRMS sophistication played a mediating role in the relationship between CSR performance and firms' CSR awareness and affordability.Research limitations/implicationsThe study was limited to examining the CSR practices of a major province in Japan, which may hinder the generalisation of the findings to the rest of the country. Moreover, the data used for assessing the variables in this study were self-reported by the participating firms, in addition to being cross-sectional. The findings of this study clarified areas that policymakers, including Japan's business associations–Keidanren and Keizai Doyukai, and other relevant parties need to focus on for further improving CSR performances of Japanese firms.Originality/valueThis study highlights the role CSR awareness, affordability and CSRMS sophistication play in improving CSR performance. On the one hand, it identifies the critical role CSRMS plays in mediating the relationship among CSR performance, awareness and affordability. On the other hand, it advances CSR theory providing insight for practitioners to generate positive CSR outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of partner firms’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on long-term relationships in business-to-business (B2B) industries. We developed a research model to capture the correlations between a partner firm’s CSR reputation (i.e., business practice, CSR reputation, and philanthropic CSR reputation), trust, information sharing, risk–reward sharing, and long-term relationships. Drawing on the stakeholder and social exchange theories, we hypothesized that a partner firm’s CSR reputation would affect long-term relationships through trust, information sharing, and risk–reward sharing. Through empirical analysis, we found that business practice CSR is positively related to long-term relationships through trust and B2B partnership. We also present some theoretical and managerial implications of this study.

Perceived reality plays a more prominent role in shaping one's attitudes and behaviors than the actual reality itself. Research on perceived corporate social responsibility (PCSR) has gained interest and this research study examines the specific relationship of PCSR with a discretionary behavioral construct, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Building upon social theories such as the social identity theory, social exchange theory, social learning theory, and social attribution theory, a conceptual framework is proposed that identifies the impact of internal and external moderators on the PCSR-OCB relationship. Through proposing the impact of external moderators, the researcher aims to bring in objectivity when assessing PCSR, a subjective construct. Further contributions to research and practitioners are highlighted and future avenues for research are discussed.

This study investigated the mechanism behind the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firms’ financial performance while focusing on internal stakeholders. Although many studies have examined the effects of CSR few has empirically investigated the underlying process of the mechanism. In addition, previous research has rarely regarded employees as a link between CSR and firms’ outcomes, despite employees implementing CSR policies. This study explored the pathway of the CSR-employees-firm’s performance. Employee commitment was used to explain the relationship between CSR and performance, since it is an important employee-associated micro-level outcome of CSR. The results showed that CSR indirectly influenced a firm’s accounting profitability through enhanced employee commitment, as well as directly affected firm’s profitability. CSR increases employee commitment, which in turn leads to improvements in a firm’s accounting returns. The paper suggests that employees should be considered as an important agent for the effects of CSR initiatives.
