AbstractThis article studies the consequences of the COVID-19 global health crisis on the fashion and textile industry in France. This crisis is only part of an already long, slow decline in the industry. The paper analyzes the composition and organization of textile industry. It offers data related to: sales, consumption, employees, company size, as well as imports and exports - all highlighting the importance of fashion and textiles in France today. The paper shows how lockdown has asphyxiated production and retail sales. COVID-19 caused the appearance of new challenges: mask production, new aspects of CSR in luxury textiles and the development of antiviral fabrics. Mask production can be considered as a case study useful in the analysis of textile challenges. In this context, the French textile industry should continue to improve on innovation and quality. Promoting labelling on the global market can help the sector to develop its high-end. France is credible to expanding its fashion and textile supply in luxury.

AbstractOne of the chief problems in software architecture is avoiding architecture model drift and erosion in all kinds of complex software systems. Microservice-based systems introduce new challenges in this context, as they often use a large variety of technologies in their latest iteration, and are changed and released very frequently. Existing solutions that can be used to reconstruct architecture models fall short in addressing these new challenges, as they cannot easily cope with continuous evolution, their accuracy is too low, and highly polyglot settings are not supported well. In this work, we report on a research study aiming to design a highly accurate architecture model abstraction approach for comprehending component architecture models of highly polyglot systems that can cope with continuous evolution. After analyzing the results of related studies, we found two possible architecture model abstraction approaches that meet the requirements of our study: an opportunistic, and a reusable semi-automatic detector-based approach. We have conducted an empirical case study for validation and comparison of the two approaches. We conclude that both detector approaches are feasible. In our case study, the reusable approach breaks even in terms of time and effort needed for establishing reuse, if modest reuse of detectors is possible, and is producing slightly more high quality and evolution-stable solutions than the opportunistic approach.

COVID-19 is a global health crisis that continues to pose new challenges all around the world. Amidst the growing pandemic, a spike in the number of mucormycosis cases in India and Pakistan has been reported in COVID-19 patients and in those who have recovered from COVID-19. This increase in cases may be related to the overuse of steroids and zinc, the use of industrial oxygen, unsterilized medical equipment, frequent intubation, a weakened immune system, and pre-existing comorbidities such as diabetes. As a result, it is critical to take steps to handle the current increase in mucormycosis cases. Therefore, this article aims to highlight the existence of mucormycosis amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in India and Pakistan, focusing on possible causes and implications, and suggests important plans of action to be taken during this pandemic.

The share of IT companies in the global market has been increasing and many organizations are moving to outsource their software development projects to off-shore vendors. Recently, the IT sector in Palestine has been gaining much ground with many software development companies specializing in software development outsourcing services. Maintaining high-quality and robust software products has always been a key success factor in the outsourcing sector. Software testing is considered to be the main phase in which teams can assure high quality of software products. Therefore, we did an exploratory multiple-case study and this study involvesfour Palestinian software outsourcing companiesof different domain. We provide insights about factors that affect the quality of software testing practice, and explore applied testing techniques, methods and confronted challenges. The results reveal that there is big attention toward software testing assoftware development companies are investing more effort, time, and technical resources into their quality assurance teams. Additionally, among the applied software testing methods, more attention needs to be directed towards test automation. Moreover, more theoretical and technical courses targeting software quality assurance should be included in national Palestinian universities’ curriculum. Finally, we propose a new model that can help practitioners to enhance the quality of their outsourced software products

The prosperity of shareholders can usually be seen from the high value of the company. This means that maximizing shareholder prosperity can be done by maximizing the value of the company. The higher the value of the company, the greater the prosperity that will be received by the shareholders. In the era of globalization, manufacturing companies in the food and beverages sector in Indonesia are trying to produce high-quality goods at low cost in order to increase competitiveness in the domestic market as well as in the global market. Most manufacturing companies in the food and beverages sector are also companies that rely on capital from investors in carrying out their production activities so it is very important for companies to maintain their liquidity health. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research with a case study method. Based on the discussion it can be concluded that dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on the value of manufacturing companies in the food and beverages sector. This is evidenced by the results of the t test value yaituthitung 3.395 and p value 0.001 < 0.05.

Objectives: This case study intends to examine how staff characteristics, training methods, and duration of training impact overall staff preparedness and comfortability when transitioning to a new Labor and Delivery. Background: A new medical facility offers an opportunity for greater capacity and expanding services, but it also poses new challenges for staff. Success in this transition depends on how quickly the staff can adapt to their new environment and how prepared they are to deliver high-quality care to patients. Methods: An optional survey was conducted to determine the staff’s confidence in their training using a 5-point Likert-type scale. Results: After responses were collected, a paired samples two-sided t test revealed that there was no statistically significant change in the confidence and preparedness for staff. Conclusions: With this overall outcome, medical facilities will have more discernment on ways to improve their employees’ trust and confidence in performing their tasks and providing care while in a new environment. This will then be reflected in the care given toward patients in the future.

The move from in-person to online scientific conferences due to the global health crisis has been hailed as a positive step towards inclusivity in its attenuation of economic, physical and legal barriers. Yet pre-existing and new challenges to truly inclusive conference experiences remain unaddressed. While acknowledging the benefits of an online setting, especially for individuals who have traditionally been underrepresented or excluded, fostering social justice requires active care to be taken to center inclusivity in every aspect of online conference design. In this work, we draw from literature on recent online events and from our own experiences as researchers during the past year to identify practices that purposefully encourage a diverse community to attend, participate in, and lead online conferences.
