Reputation management at the Russian University: problems and solutions

The monograph presents new research results on key aspects of the university's reputation management. Theoretical approaches to the study of reputation and reputational responsibility, reputation capital and reputational risks of a higher educational institution within the framework of reputation management are highlighted, an assessment of the state and problems of the university's reputation management development is given. Recommendations for improving the effectiveness of reputation management in Russian universities are proposed: the development of a reputation management system, including the university's reputation responsibility system and technologies for its formation, methods of managing reputation capital and reputational risks of the university. It is of interest to university leaders of various levels of management, university teaching staff, as well as for anyone who studies the problem under consideration. In addition, it will be useful for students of higher educational institutions studying in the areas of training "Management" and "Personnel Management".

The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the importance of interaction between teachers and students in modern higher education, as well as the need to cover the psychological features of such interaction from the point of view of developing a qualitative assessment of their role and place in the educational process of a higher educational institution. The purpose of the study is to formulate psychological aspects of “teacher-student” communication within the educational space to identify methods of its regulation. The leading approach of the research is a combination of theoretical analysis of the main aspects of pedagogical interaction between teachers and students in an educational institution taking into account the main functions and tasks of each of the groups under consideration and structural synthesis of the features of this type of interaction based on psychological factors of communication on the scale of a higher educational institution. The research considers issues related to the psychological features of pedagogical interaction between teachers and students in modern higher education. Qualitative indicators of communicative relations of subjects of the educational process, in particular teachers and students, are determined. The key psychological features of pedagogical interaction in the “teacherstudent” system are highlighted, including the development of trust in the authority of the teacher, taking into account students' individual factors in the process of studying subjects within the programme, maintaining a positive psychological climate in subject-subject relations. The necessity of developing a qualitative assessment of the level of communication between teachers and students as an objective factor for further assessment of the overall level of their pedagogical interaction effectiveness and the psychological characteristics of each of the groups under consideration is emphasised. The results and conclusions of the research are of practical value both for modern applicants for higher education and for representatives of the teaching staff of modern higher educational institutions concerned with the problems of building high-quality communication among each other, taking into account the individual characteristics and qualities of each group

The article analyses the experience of organizing International Educational Exhibitions in Ukraine in 2016 – 2020. The essence of such concepts as "international educational exhibition", "international educational exhibition space", "facilitative support of professional development of research and teaching staff" is defined. The structural elements of the International Educational Exhibition and the stages of a higher educational institution participation in the exhibition activity (preparatory, direct participation, analysis of the achieved results) are considered. The authors of the article present systematized experience of facilitative support of professional development of research and teaching staff provided by specialists of the Department of Scientific Work of the State Institution of Higher Education "University of Educational Management" of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine in the process of preparing, holding and analysing results of International Educational Exhibitions, such as "Innovation in Modern Education", "Modern Educational Institutions", "Education and Career – Student's Day", "Education and Career". The types of organizational and coordination activities are determined, a detailed list of actions of the process of facilitative support by the specialists of the Department of Scientific Work of research and teaching staff as exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition is presented. Methodical structuring and algorithmizing of types of organizational and coordination activities and a detailed list of actions of the facilitation process are described in the following stages: 1) preparation of research and teaching staff (exhibitors and visitors) to participate in International Educational Exhibitions; 2) direct participation of research and teaching staff (exhibitors and visitors) in the International Educational Exhibitions; 3) analysis of the results of participation of research and teaching staff (exhibitors and visitors) in International Educational Exhibitions. The authors have created a classification of events of the International Educational Exhibition according to the congress, competition and exponential components. Statistics of the number of planned and conducted events within the International Educational Exhibition activities in Ukraine in 2016 – 2020 are presented. Emphasis is placed on changing the form of exhibitions from offline to online format due to the COVID–19 pandemic and lockdown (quarantine restrictions) in 2020. Recommendations for higher educational institutions to maintain an integrated information base of exhibition educational activities with detailed information on the activities within the exponential, competitive and congress programs of the exhibition.

The article addresses to the characteristics of the administrative and legal support of the the educational process organization in the Academy of the State Penitentiary Service. With the declaration of independence, Ukraine has paid attention to build a European state with appropriate standards in all spheres of state activity. One of the priority areas of this course is the development of a new functioning system of the structure of law enforcement agencies, including the penitentiary system. For the proper functioning of this institution, professional personnel is needed, who will be the main persons of the development of the new penitentiary system of Ukraine in compliance with the leading standards of the European community. The Academy of the State Penitentiary Service has been established and operates in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”. The main purpose of the Academy is to train specialists in the field of knowledge “Law”, “Social and Behavioral Sciences” and other fields in order to meet the needs of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine, to provide society with qualified specialists with higher education, scientific, scientific and pedagogical staff according to the state order, contractual obligations and thus the new generations formation of national intelligentsia. The educational process in higher educational institutions with specific learning conditions, such as the Academy of the State Penitentiary Service, is carried out in accordance with the legislation on higher education, although general subordination is carried out by the relevant ministry – the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. Having certain peculiarities in the cadets, students and associate professors’ training, the Academy also prepares students and graduate students at the expense of individuals and legal entities. The main participants in the educational process at the Academy, as well as in any higher educational institution with specific learning conditions, along with research and teaching staff, are cadets (students) (at the expense of legal entities), students (at the expense of individuals), associate professors (graduate students). All higher education obtainers, enrolled in the Academy receive higher education at the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s) and third (educational-scientific) levels. Abstract The issue of teaching staff advanced training is paid much attention in many countries. In the Republic of Moldova progressive professional credits system is used. Credits are scored not only in assigning teaching degrees or issuing a certificate of continuing professional education, but also for teachers’ evaluation at the educational institution. Advanced training of teaching staff in France is provided by various institutions of postgraduate education, university institutes and regional centers of education in order to help teachers to renew their professional knowledge and at the same time to refocus it on the level of consciousness according to the real problems of school and the community. The feature of teaching staff advanced training in France is that it is teachers’ personal matter and duration of all periods of training should come to one year during all professional career. In Finland, teaching staff advanced training is organized directly in schools under aegis of the National Board of Education, the National Centre for Advanced Training in Education, departments of teacher education and other faculties of higher educational institutions on credit system basis. Among the topical forms there are targeted, cascade, common (cooperative) teaching and learning by own example. In the UK, advanced training takes place in two models: the course model based on higher educational establishments and school based in-service education. The main purpose of advanced training system is to familiarize teachers with theoretical and practical innovations in educational activities, progressive teaching technologies, and consolidate their skills of independent acquisition of knowledge necessary for their professional development.

The article is devoted to the organization of an inclusive educational process in higher education institutions, which is not possible without the formation of a high-level methodological preparedness of the entire teaching staff of an educational institution. The subject of the analysis is the methodological preparedness of a teacher at a higher educational institution to work in an inclusive education environment. In order to examine the object of this research and clarify its internal content, the author considers the structure of methodological preparedness of a teacher at a higher educational institution in an inclusive education environment.

The high level of development of culture and art in modern Russia requires appropriate training of employees for the theater and concert complex. Well-trained specialists will be able to find a job and employment. In the labor market in the field of art and culture, there is creative competition. Therefore, the training of bachelors at the higher educational institutions should be guided by the requirements of the labor market in this area, and the higher educational institutions should produce competitive specialists in creative professions. In the higher education system of modern Russia, the issue of improving the quality of teaching of special (major) disciplines, as well as all subjects included in the training program, is on the agenda of the department collectives. The program trajectory, which is set through the Federal State Educational Standards, is associated with a certain experiment in modeling competencies based on accepted professional standards. An important component is the position of the higher educational institution and the right to develop competencies based on the experience, profile of the university and the composition of the teaching staff. Higher educational institutions have certain academic freedoms and use their opportunities to achieve a higher quality of bachelor's and master's degree training. The article deals with various aspects of vocal pedagogy, the formation of the necessary professional and general cultural competencies, and individual work with students. Such problems are raised by teachers of creative higher educational institutions. We considered it possible to enter into the discussion and conduct a friendly polemic.

Formulation of the problem. The problem of adaptation of students to institutions of higher education in our time is of great scientific and practical importance. The breakdown of dynamic stereotypes during the transition from the school system to higher education, the change in living conditions for nonresident students, a new social environment − all this accompanies the freshman and requires the formation of psychological mechanisms of adaptation of the personality of yesterday's schoolchild to new conditions of life and activity. The purpose of the research: determination of the structural components of the adaptation process, determination of the main directions of optimization of the adaptation process, creation of a multifunctional model of the student's adaptation process to the university. Conclusions. The main goal of optimizing the process of adaptation of a student to the university is to create conditions for the development, self-improvement and disclosure of the creative potential of the student's personality. So, we see the same ways of solving the indicated problems: psychological and pedagogical training of the supervisors of student groups; introduction of innovative technologies in the pedagogical process; improving the psychological and pedagogical qualifications of the teaching staff of a higher educational institution; work with gifted youth, development of students' creativity in the learning process; development of student initiative and self-government; psychological support of methodological and educational work in a higher educational institution; psychological support for the development of the student's personality in the learning process: mastering the skills of independent work, communication skills, disclosing the psychological characteristics of the development of one's creative potential, solving personal problems.

The article is devoted to the problems of creating a successful digital educational environment in a higher educational institution. The issues of interactive communication between teachers and students in virtual space using computer and information and communication technologies are considered. The article describes the advantages and disadvantages of creating a digital educational environment at the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The authors analyze the assessment of the organization and content of the distance learning course from the point of view of the representatives of the teaching staff. The objectives of the study include studying the issue of the level of readiness of the teachers of the educational organization to conduct training sessions in a distance mode, as well as the analysis of the degree of the students’ self-organization and their abilities for the independent acquisition of knowledge in a remote access mode. During the study, considerable attention is paid to the study of problematic aspects of creating a digital educational environment in a higher educational institution and the search for possible ways to overcome them.

The article investigates theoretical frameworks of the organization of methodological work in educational institutions under the conditions of reformation and modernization of the Ukrainian education system.The author discusses how, a great deal of educational institutions, peculiarities of parents’ requests, and interaction with the social environment cause the need for teachers in the methodological assistance of experienced and competent professionals, in particular, the educator-methodologist. The necessity to re-orient methodological work to meet the modern needs of the education sector and requirements of the society is determined. The goal of the current work is to conduct a psychological and pedagogical analysis of theoretical approaches to understanding the content of methodological work, in preschool educational institutions, under the conditions of challenges and changes of the twenty-first century. The tasks of an educator-methodologist and conditions, which should be created in an educational institution in order to motivate teachers to develop their personality and creativity are illustrated by the author. Different aspects of organization of methodological work are introduced and analysed in the article. Generalization of the theoretical and practical studies on the problem enabled us to conclude that the methodological work in educational institutions is a unifying, managerial systemic activity of the educator-methodologist, which must meet the modern needs of the society. This systematic activity is composed of the following components: tasks, principles, approaches, forms and methods of work, means of influencing the subjects of the educational process. Thus, the article contextualizes the tasks and conditions of effective methodological work with the teaching staff, considering innovations in preschool education.The conducted study is not completed, and it is planned to study and develop specific functions, forms, methods and technologies of the educator-methodologist work in a modern preschool institution. Objectives. To study the impact of participation in the work of medical institutions providing assistance to patients with COVID-19 on the professional self-identification of students. Material and methods. The study was carried out on the basis of the educational institution «VSMU». Inclusion group: medical students of the 4th-6th years who took part in the work of medical teams providing assistance to patients during the period of an epidemic rise in the incidence of respiratory infections, including SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus one. The survey was conducted in the form of an anonymous questionnaire. To segment the respondents according to certain criteria, depending on their answers, the «decision tree» method was used. Results. In the course of the study, it has been found that 1.8 times more often the question «To what extent did you manage to combine your work and studies?» the answer «everything turned out well» was given by the students who indicated that they had a curator who helped them to cope with their professional adaptation difficulties. The higher the self-esteem of the personal level of knowledge and skills was, the more often students chose the answer that they were definitely not going to leave medicine and change their profession. Conclusions. Based on the survey data, one of the most significant factors influencing the adaptation and development of practical skills is the high-quality work of university teaching staff and a physician-curator. An important role in professional adaptability is played by the solution of psychoemotional problems of working students through the establishment of their close interaction with the social, pedagogical and psychological service of the university, professional training centers.
