Subject. The article analyzes the economic activity of a large enterprise and forecasts basic technical and economic indicators. Objectives. Our aim is to develop analytical tools for business analysis, based on official reporting data, intended to increase the reliability of knowledge about the business situation at the enterprise. Methods. The study employs methods of analysis of technical and economic indicators, intelligent multidimensional data analysis, forecasting methods, time series models, and multivariate dynamic regression models. Results. We developed tools to evaluate management decisions on the basis of the volatility of income and expenditure indicators, which enable to assess the effectiveness of technical and economic solutions. We also developed a hybrid approach to forecasting the main technical and economic indicators based on models combining the multivariate dynamic regression models, multivariate autoregressive models, and adaptive forecasting models. The presented analytical tools for business analysis were tested on the materials of three large industrial enterprises of the chemical complex. Conclusions. The offered instrumental methods can be integrated into the analysis of enterprise by minority shareholders or potential investors, who do not have access to management statements. We also recommend them as analytical tools in the field of business consulting and business analysis for various purposes, including investment ones, to increase the reliability of knowledge about the condition of business, according to official reports of the enterprise.

In this article, a simulation model of an autonomous PVdiesel power supply (PDPS) system with direct current is considered. The autonomous PDPS is implemented in the Simulink programming environment of the Matlab software package. The system includes: a photovoltaic power station (PPS), a diesel generator (DG), an energy storage system (ESS), a remote consumer as well as auxiliary converters. The PDPS model makes it possible to analyze the energy balance between generation, consumption, and the energy exchange available from the ESS connected via a DC bus (DCB). With the help of the proposed model, it is possible to analyze and optimize the technical and economic indicators of DC power plants with the priority of the PPS contribution: reducing the consumption of diesel fuel and carbonation of the air reducing the cost of 1 kWh for the remote consumer and controlling the switching in the power plants as per logical conditions. The obtained technical and economic indicators of the PDPS using direct current are superior to similar systems based on alternating current due to an increase in the contribution of the PPS to the energy balance. As a result of experiments with changing input conditions, i.e. annual changes in insolation and temperature at different latitudes, the authors justify technical, economic, and environmental criteria for the effectiveness of decision-making and recommendations for the design and operation of PDPS power plants. Intelligent algorithms for effective control of PV-diesel power systems based on DC are developed and suggested

Purpose. To analyze the technical and economic indicators of the use of wind and photovoltaic stations in the power supply systems of non-traction consumers of railway power grids. The research methodology is based on modern methods of computational mathematics, statistics and information analysis using modern computer technology. Findings. The authors analyze the current prerequisites for the use of electricity generated from renewable sources (wind and photovoltaic stations) to supply non-traction consumers of railway power grids. The authors note that for reliable power supply to non-traction consumers in the presence of accidental wind flow or intensity of solar radiation, the capacity of wind and photovoltaic plants will need to be significantly overestimated, which leads to a significant increase in capital costs for construction. The paper presents examples of implementation of options for the construction of the above wind and photovoltaic stations for the variable nature of wind speed and intensity of solar radiation for specific regions of Ukraine (Vasylivka, Zaporizhia region). The authors present variants of the basic schemes of wind, solar and combined electric power supply systems for non-traction consumers. Information on technical and economic indicators of the most common domestic photo modules and wind turbines on the Ukrainian market is provided. The originality of the work is reflected in the examples of the introduction of options for the construction of wind and photovoltaic stations for the variable nature of wind speed and intensity of solar radiation for specific regions of Ukraine. Practical implications. The above calculation of the cost of the required number of power sources at wind, solar and combined power plants helps to choose the least expensive option for the introduction of renewable energy sources for non-traction consumers of railway networks. Keywords: renewable energy sources, photovoltaic installation, railway power supply networks, non-traction consumers of railway power grids, electricity production, solar radiation intensity, wind flow rate, capital expenditures.

Variants of the intensification of the solvent dewaxing process, which increase the yield of base oils, are described. One of the promising ways to improve the technical and economic indicators of the dewaxing process is the use of modifying additives. The work shows that the introduction of a polymer additive requires a decrease in the filtration rate and, accordingly, an increase in the performance of the dewaxing unit. This results in a petrolatum with a reduced oil content, which is a qualifying factor for the production of high-melting ceresins, protective-wax components, and lubricants for various purposes.

The choice of the proper type and size of milking installations needs to take into account the maximum planned number of dairy cows, the size of a technological group, the number of milkings per day, and the duration of one milking and the operator's working shift. The analysis of technical and economic indicators of currently most common types of milking machines of the same technical level revealed that the Carousel installation had the best specific indicators while the Herringbone installation featured higher labour inputs and cash costs. The Parallel installation was found somewhere in between. In terms of the throughput and the required number of operators Herringbone is recommended for farms with up to 600 dairy cows, Parallel — below 1200 dairy cows, Carousel — above 1200 dairy cows. Carousel was found the most practical, high-performance, easily automated and, therefore, promising milking system for milking parlours, especially on the large-scale dairy farms.
