The aim of this work was to find the seasonal variations of physico-chemical properties of the Dejla Dewda reservoir. The physico-chemical characteristics have been studied and analysed in the present investigation during Nov 2016 to Dec 2017.Water samples were collected from three sampling stations, changes in the physico-chemical parameters of water, such as Water temperature, transparency, alkalinity, chloride, sulphate, nitrate, phosphate, Total dissolved solids (TDS), Biological oxygen demand (BOD), Dissolved oxygen (DO), Chemical oxygen demand (COD) and pH were analysed. The result was compared with the water quality standard of WHO. Between various physico-chemical parameters systematic calculation of average and standard deviation was done to compare the water quality level at different stations. During the investigation period of one year, 24 species of fishes belonging to 03 orders and 06 families were recorded. Therefore, monitoring of the water quality of sampling sites of Dejla Dewda reservoir should be done at regular intervals to facilitate the growth of fish species. It was observed during the study that this reservoir water is not much polluted and supports high diversity of aquatic animals.

Cirata Reservoir is one of the three cascade reservoirs fed by the Citarum Watershed with an area of ​​62 km2 (6.200 ha) and has a water volume of 1.900 million m3. The great potential of the waters in the Cirata Reservoir is utilized by the local community as a source of livelihood, namely by conducting aquaculture activities using floating net cages (FNC) in excess. FNC is thought to be a source of waste that reduces reservoir water quality. This research aims to determine the impact of FNC cultivation on primary productivity with different FNC densities at each station. The research was conducted in Cianjur Regency by taking on three stations, namely in the areas of Jangari, Maleber, and Patok Beusi on November 6 - December 8, 2019. The method used in the research was purposive sampling then analyzed in detail and quantitatively. The results show that reservoir waters have an average of physical parameters, namely temperature 32.2-32.6oC, transparency 0.59-0.68 meters, pH 7.1-7.3, carbon dioxide 15.4-16.1 mg / l, Dissolved Oxygen 6.9-7.3 mg / l, Biochemical Oxygen Demand 6.1-7.8 mg / l, nitrate 0.208-0.222 mg / l, ammonia 0.002833-0.003056 mg / l, phosphate 0,165-0,167 mg / l and primary productivity 240,36-277,90 mgC/m3/hour. This shows that the water indicator is still classified as good because it does not exceed the water quality standard.

The Jatiluhur Reservoir is the largest and multipurpose. Indonesia, currently faced with problems regarding the quality and quantity of water resource especially pollution problems. Inthis research has been conducted an analysis of the status of water quality and analysis of their impact on the threat to vital business process, especially with regard to management of water resources. The location research carried out at PerumJasaTirta II as the authority of Jatiluhur Reservoir. The data used in this research is primary data from the obtained field research activities throughthe sampling conducted at Jatiluhur reservoir water and the waters of river basin (DAS) after the Jatiluhur Reservoir outlet with reference to size the parameters of water quality using laboratory quality standard. The Analytical tools used are the method Business Impact Analysis and Storet. Chemical parameters above the quality standard limits are: dissolved oxygen, ferro (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), nitrite (NO2-N), nitrate (NO3-N), sulphate (SO4), chloride (Cl), sulfide(H2S), BOD5, and COD.Condition of water quality can be said to have been classified as heavily polluted (categoryD) byanthropogenic activities that are in the upper reaches of the riverCitarum and around JatiluhurReservoir waters. These conditions can threat and negatively impact vital business of the infrastructure, reservoirs, the availability of drinking water and irrigation water and other water biota.

Penelitian untuk mengetahui kualitas lingkungan perairan Sungai Musi bagian tengah dan hilir serta kelimpahan jenis ikan, telah dilakukan dari bulan April sampai dengan Oktober 2003. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei dengan menetapkan 15 stasiun pengamatan dari Sungai Musi bagian tengah sampai dengan hilir. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil pemeriksaan parameter fisika kimia air secara umum perairan Sungai Musi bagian tengah sampai dengan hilir belum terlihat ada indikasi pencemaran. Kehidupan ikan di Sungai Musi bagian tengah sampai dengan hilir belum terlihat ada gangguan akibat pencemaran air. Jenis-jenis ikan yang dijumpai di sepanjang stasiun pengamatan terdapat sekitar 85 jenis yang didominansi oleh famili Cyprinidae. Penyebaran jenis ikan terkonsentrasi di Sungai Musi bagian tengah +- 75 jenis dan bagian hilir +- 58 jenis. A study to determine the water quality in the middle and lower parts of Musi River as well as its fish distribution was conducted from April until October 2003. Research was done under survey method by setting 15 stations in the middle and lower parts of Musi River. Results of the features of the physico chemical parameters showed that Musi River waters in the middle and lower parts were not polluted. There were 85 fish founded in the observed areas and they were dominated by family of cyprinidae. 75 fish species were distributed in the middle part of Musi River and 58 fish species were scattered in the lower.

Kolong river which is located in Nagaon district of Assam, India is among the 275 most polluted rivers in India, according to a report of the Central Pollution Control Board, Government of India. The rise in pollution with respect to rivers over the last few decades due to their incredible importance in several human uses as well as a medium for provision of ecosystem services all over the world. The present investigation was carried out for a period of four seasons, namely, Pre-monsoon, Monsoon, Retreating Monsoon and Winter for the year 2017. Samples of water from two sites of the River Kolong, namely, Site I (Jakhalabandha) and Site II (Nagaon Town), were collected and analysed. The physico-chemical parameters such as water temperature, pH, Conductivity, Alkalinity, Transparency, Hardness, Chloride, Magnesium, Phosphate, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) were evaluated. Observations imply that the water quality in Site II was poor and unfit for drinking, compared to Site I. The present study also includes a discussion on the economic implications of Kolong’s water quality and the strategies for its management. The study finally emphasizes that state intervention and people’s participation is essential for maintaining and preserving the ecological health of the Kolong river in its pristine state.

The present investigation is aimed at assessing the current water quality standard along the stretch of Brahmani river in terms of physico-chemical parameters. In the selected study area, river Brahmani is receiving a considerable amount of industrial wastes and witnessing a considerable amount of human and agricultural activities .Nine samples were collected along the entire stretches of the river basin during the period from September-2013 to August-2014 on the first working day of every month. Various physico-chemical parameters like pH,, EC, total hardness, total alkalinity sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, sulphate  D.O., B.O.D. etc. were analyzed. The present study indicates that the water quality of Brahmani river is well within tolerance limit taking the physico-chemical parameters into considerations.

The present study deals with the physico-chemical parameters and biological diversity of Budhoholi at Sani-Arjun Municipality -7 Jhapa, from July to October, 2015. The physico-chemical properties of water were within the maximum permissible limit with slight variation in some parameters. The biological diversity was found to be rich. Riparian vegetation consisted of 21 herbs 13 shrubs, 11 trees and 4 climbers, 9 aquatic macrophytes and 21 species of fishes. The overall result of the lake indicated that the lake is not disturbed and is not polluted.

Today the environment has become harmful for the health of living organisms due to excessive pollution and contamination of natural resources. The present investigation has been carried out with the objective to assess the water quality of the Gobind Sagar Lake, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh (India) using physico-chemical parameters with heavy metals of the lake. For this study, three sampling sites were identified and samples from different sites were collected in summer season and important parameters [Water Temperature, pH, Total Hardness, Dissolved Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chloride, Total Alkalinity, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS)] with heavy metals [ Lead (P), Copper (Co), Iron (Fe), Cadmium (Cd), Nickel (Ni) and Manganese (Mn), Chromium (Cr) were analyzed. The results revealed that the different conditions of Gobind Sagar Lake in different sampling stations showed fluctuations in some physico-chemical parameters and also in heavy metals. These result depicted that water of lake was polluted in the form of nutrient enrichment which is due to agricultural activities and its runoff in and around catchment area of the lake. There are other many ways that things can end up in the lake as the free style way of disposal of industrial and domestic effluents etc. Results of studies on heavy metals in pollution are well documented revealing the toxic effects of these metals on aquatic organisms.

Variations in the water quality of the Imo River estuary was investigated by measuring values of selected physico-chemical parameters. Samples were collected bi-monthly between April 2015 and March 2016, covering the dry and wet seasons of the year. Three stations were selected: upstream (Kalibiama), midstream (Opobo) and downstream (Queenstown). Analysis of results showed that physico-chemical parameters were affected more on seasonal than spatial scale. Principal component analysis carried out indicated that values of most of the parameters recorded within the stations clustered together. On the other hand, dispersed values were recorded in months and seasons with significant variations at (p≤0.05) among most parameters. The high spatial variations in phosphates, suspended solids and lead could be associated to human activities like laundry and waste disposal within Opobo and Kalibiama stations. While, high seasonal variability in most parameters could be associated with intense sunshine, cloud cover and tidal intrusion/dilution due to runoff. It can be concluded that nutrient fluxes due to nitrogenous fertilizers are not a problem within the estuary. However, chemical factors and biodegradable components which cause fluctuations in biological oxygen demand are more of the challenge. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang kualitas fisika-kimia air sumur di tempat pembuangan akhir sampah (TPA) kecamatan Tuminting, Manado secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Kajian yang dilakukan meliputi parameter fisika yaitu penentuan pH, bau, rasa, warna, kekeruhan dan total padatan terlarut (TDT) serta parameter kimia yaitu penentuan nitrat, nitrit, klorida, sulfat, besi dan mangan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian parameter fisika pada 4 titik pengambilan air ada beberapa titik pengambilan sampel yang tidak sesuai dengan syarat baku mutu kualitas air yaitu tidak berbau dan berasa serta memiliki rentang pH 6,5-9,2 dan memiliki nilai maksimal untuk warna 50, kekeruhan 25, dan TDT 1500. Begitu juga untuk parameter kimia ada beberapa titik pengambilan sampel yang tidak sesuai dengan syarat baku mutu kualitas air yaitu memiliki nilai maksimal untuk klorida 600 mg/L, nitrat 10 mg/L, nitrit 1 mg/L, besi 1 mg/L, mangan 0,5 m/L dan sulfat 400 mg/L.A research on the physico-chemical quality of the well water in the landfill (TPA) district Tuminting, Manado has been done. The study includedphysical parameters, namely pH, odor, taste, color, turbidity and total dissolved solids (TDS) and chemical parameters, namely nitrate, nitrite, chloride, sulphate, iron and manganese. Among the four sampling sites, some sites did not meet the water quality standard based on some physical parameters, those are odorless and tasteless, pH range of 6.5 to 9.2 and maximum value of 50 for color, 25 for turbidity, and 1500 for TDS. Likewise, for chemical parameters, several sampling points are not in accordance with the terms of water quality standard, those aremaximum value of 600 mg/Lfor chlorides, 10 mg/L for nitrate, 1 mg/L for nitrite, 1 mg/L for iron, 0.5 m/L for manganese and 400 mg/L for sulphate.

Abstract Water is a social requirement and an important factor in the ecological balance. Water from wells is good for direct consumption if the soil is not contaminated. The quality of drinking water is regulated by Law no. 458/2002 (transposing the Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of drinking water). The aim of this paper was to assess the physicochemical qualities of groundwaters from Brestea village, commune Denta, Timis County. The water samples were taken in 2015 from 10 functional wells. For the source whose physical and chemical parameters have exceeded the limit values, the monthly monitoring of the water quality (microbiological and physico-chemical properties) has been performed for 2 years. At the same time, the pH of the soil near the water sources was also measured. The results highlighted a good connection between the microorganisms from water and the nitrite, nitrate and ammonium content of water. The information can be further used to identify and eliminate the specific pollutants, areas and pollution sources.
