The Leaders and their leadership style possess strong influence on corporate sector and its overall working affairs. Effective political leadership is a benchmark for successful corporations as they follow the best strategies from political setup and move towards productivity and efficiency. This paper, therefore, highlights the importance of successful leadership theories and practices, which may follow by the corporate sector for better results. This study explores the influence of political leadership on corporate governance as a corporate sector has to remain under the policy and rule dominancy of the state, hence, this paper elaborates the research questions comprising of 20 items in order to know the influence of political leadership and to analyze the leadership theories and practices in Pakistan.This paper is quantitative in nature, and close ended questionnaire was used to collect the data from 100 samples comprising of government and private-sector employees working in Pakistan. The statistical tool's factor analysis and correlation are used, and according to the results by factor analysis, 5 components were retained or extracted out of 20 variables. All the variables show high level of correlation with components as cumulative correlation measured by Factor Analysis is .825, which is good in practice. As per results derived from KMO and Bartlett’s test, the overall sampling remained .796 that shows a good measurement. In addition to the results, respondents favor that political leadership, and corporate governances are essential ingredients for the organizational development. Majority of respondents were of view that political leadership put strong influence on the affairs of corporate governance.This paper will help the government and corporate sector to work in collaborative way to achieve their respective goals and run the country and organizations on sound economic track. In continuation, this study also helps the political governments to revisit their influence and ensure complete agreement and harmony with corporate sector, and thus help the corporate sector in performing its role in sustainable economic development.The necessity of this study was strongly felt as corporate sector in Pakistan has yet to revise its relations with the sitting political government for effective contribution to gross national production (GDP). The performance of corporate sector in terms of productivity and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not satisfactory at all in Pakistan, but working collaboratively and delegating powers to down level can really help both political and corporate sector to achieve their pre-specified objectives.

Significance This is a crucial step for the government before year-end, together with long-term banking issues and slowing economic recovery. The European Commission has allowed Italy considerable fiscal flexibility; the government promises to start reducing its debt-to-GDP ratio this year. However, the slowdown could delay achieving this goal. Under this scenario, the government has to campaign for the referendum on its Senate reform. A 'yes' vote is key not only for reforming the political system, but the government's survival. Impacts A 'no' outcome would pull Italy into deep uncertainty concerning its political leadership. It would also end Renzi's premiership; a new majority could follow up to the 2018 general election. However, since Renzi is the PD leader, he is unlikely to support a new government; early elections are likely. In case of a 'yes' outcome, Renzi's premiership will be reinforced, marking a turning point to his declining popularity.

In linguistics, most studies on rhetoric are approached from the perspective of persuasive ideologies of social actors such as community, religious, and political leaders with a concentration on their speeches and the impacts of the speeches on their followers and society at large. As a result, music as a form of persuasion and political strategy has been under-researched. This paper investigates the rhetoric embedded in politically-motivated musical renditions in the post-2015 elections in Nigeria and identifies ideologies of persuasion, pragmatic choice(s), and implications of the narratives on the Nigerian political landscape. Mey’s pragmatic acts serve as the theoretical base. Two popular and viral musical renditions in (Nigerian pidgin) English from social media were selected for the study. Analysis of the selected songs which critiqued the leadership style of President Muhammadu Buhari from two opposing angles was carried out. Both songs exhibited the Pragmemic activity of (in)direct speech acts as well as conversational and psychological acts through their rhythm and lyrics adapted from Harry Song’s popular ‘Reggae Blues’ and re-titled as ‘The (Change/Truth) Blues’. Musical political rhetoric relies on co-texts conveyed through verifiable information, (satiric) visuals, history, antecedents, and socio-political realities and sentiments as strategies of persuasion. The pragmatic acts employed include narrating, condemning, accusing and counter-accusing, blaming, justifying, (partial) veiling, threatening, hoping, and praying. The study reveals the political consciousness and conflicting perceptions of some Nigeria citizens in governance and makes a case for ‘truth awareness’ among the governed. Citizens’ active participation and better access to information about the political leadership of the day is, therefore, advocated. All these are invaluable for the reposing of trust in the government and also engender citizens’ active participation.

Background: There are numerous policy developments undergoing ad­dressing the issue of gender empowerment and social inclusion (GESI) in the corporate sector with an aim to socio-economic mainstreaming of the back­ward groups but the government programs and the national youth policy may still be lacking the effective implementation for addressing the needs, rights and aspirations of the overall backward people. The present research­ers perceived strong need for closer assessment of effectiveness of the policy framework to promote diversity, especially in the corporate sector. For this, the paper, as a whole, discusses within the broader framework of equality and inclusivity, the theme of women in corporate governance with particular reference to Nepalese corporate sector. Objectives: This study was aimed to explore the present scenario of em­powerment of diversity in the Nepalese corporate sector. Methods: Fully based on desk research crafted on qualitative paradigms of study. Secondary data were used to collect the information on the issues, trends, matters relating to Gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) and youth empowerment. Results: Effective compliance of corporate governance (CG) has played the significant role in promoting GESI and youth empowerment in the Nepalese corporate sector under changing context of the country and beyond. Conclusions:As a result of multi-dimensional transformation of nation­al structural system, there has been increasing sensitivity and application of GESI sensitive planning and implementation in the Nepalese corporate sector. Such a practice would serve instrumental in empowering women, youth and other marginalized sections of the society. Implications: GESI compliance and youth empowerment in corporate and other service sectors should be made a part of national strategic direction at all levels of institutional governance and disciplining.

This essay presents a tentative framework to analyze political leadership processes. First, it suggests some characteristics linked to the concept of political leadership: (1) an interactive process, (2) the emphasis on individual political behavior, (3) the collective purpose, and (4) the non-routine influence over the political process. Second, it points out several factors affecting the development of political leadership processes: (1) the leader's political competence, (2) the pattern of leader's political behavior, (3) the leader's support network, and (4) the opportunity structure. Finally, it proposes a formulation of political leadership style idea.

In this paper, the study summarizes the major studies addressing on the power of political connections that have impacts on the role of audit committees and corporate governance in the companies. The question addressed by this paper is how the political connections and audit committee role may influence the corporate governance variables as reflected in audit fees and corporate governance behavior through auditor’s assessment process. This is what has been lacking in the literatures.This paper is an attempt to identify the gaps and contribute to the political connections and corporate governance literature by showing the political connection influences on audit committee especially in an economy in which the government has coercive power in the firms. In the different context, the paper provides avenue to potential research to understand firm’s agency conflicts between the majority shareholder and the management as well as political connections that providing external resources to the firms affect auditor’s decision on audit fees, audit plan and assessment process and audit opinions.

Most studies in the area of corporate governance measure certain characteristics and the effects on financial performance; however, other authors only focus on profitability and do not analyze financial performance in all its dimensions; this is relevant because in some situations the government corporate governance can influence performance measured by liquidity, solvency or activity. The aim of the study is to relate the independence of corporate governance and the financial performance of non-listed companies using econometric techniques. This process was carried out by collecting primary information for the independent variable and secondary data for the dependent variable; the independence of corporate governance was measured by applying a confirmatory factor analysis to data collected through a survey, while the financial performance was measured through average Z factors created for liquidity, solvency, profitability and activity indicators. As a result, it was found that the independence of corporate governance influenced financial performance, but this relationship was statistically significant only with solvency and activity variables. As a result, it can be seen that there is a direct relationship between corporate governance independence and financial performance, in such a way that if the perception of board independence increases, financial performance can increase positively. This paper intends to reflect on the importance of political trust to voters’ behaviour. Political trust has a strong link to the political leadership legitimacy. Voters voted political leaders because of their trust to them or to their party. In the context of this paper, political trust refers to the performance of political leaders. In essence, political leadership performance of their duties will have a substantive effect to the voters’ decision on who to vote in an election. Political trust characterised the image of the political leaders as well as their party. Political trust is not easy to regain once broken. Voters will remember them. Adversaries will play the issue to gain support towards their party. Trustworthiness and reliability would normally result from good policy and programmes that the leader or party who lead the government initiate or implement. These programmes benefited the people and the country. Trust deficit in the realm of politics is in need of a serious repair. This work will speak of political trust and contextually relate it to political leadership. The performance of political leaders and government will be viewed from the economics, education, health, safety and religious points of views. These are some of the most important factors becoming the supporting pillars of political trust especially in the context of Malaysia. Their upright performance will gather voters’ support and consequently, the opposite will direct to political decline.

Pertinence of big data is necessary especially in the field of corporate governance where large amount of data is collected, stored, retrieved and manages. The major challenge arises for the government organizations therefore are how to use the breadth and depth of the large amount of available data in an appropriate manner. The purpose of the study was to find out the relevance of Big Data in corporate governance and investigates about the role and reasons behind adopting this technique in various government schemes. The data was collected from the 393 respondents of IT companies through a pre-tested and a structured questionnaire. Thematic analysis, descriptive statistics and factor analysis were used to explain the factors needed to identify transparency and enhanced efficiency & accountability by big data adoption. It was found there were an explosion of big data in the corporate governance and various activities of the government which could be highly relevant.

After Kagame came to power, he set two clear goals: first, to unite the Rwandan people, and to eradicate poverty in the country. The government's various plans succeeded in reconciling members of society, the refugees returned home, and local courts were organized to restore rights and remove grievances. With the advances in social issues, the government directed its energy to the development and development of the economy, through the transformation of the "Vision 2020" economic, which included 44 goals in different areas. The political leadership in Rwanda has been able to achieve these goals, which were considered a miracle, at different levels (political, economic, social, educational).

This chapter discusses events surrounding the 1936 Bakr Sidqi military coup. On October 29, 1936, planes from the infant Royal Iraqi Air Force circled over Baghdad then dropped leaflets demanding the ouster of nationalist Prime Minister Yasin al-Hashimi, who had taken to characterizing himself as the Bismarck of Iraq. It did not take long for Hashimi to tender his resignation to the young King Ghazi, and along with other senior members of the government, including Nuri al-Sa'id, hurriedly left Iraq. By imposing its will on the political leadership, the army, under the leadership of the notorious, yet at the time popular, Kurdish general Bakr Sidqi had executed a successful military coup, which was to become the precursor for a spate of military coups that bedeviled not only Iraq, but most of the Arab world, over the following four decades. Indeed, it is no exaggeration to say that in the 1936 military coup could be found the seeds of the momentous events that were to usher the end of the monarchical period in July 1958.
