This study analyzes the actions and principles that emerged in the development of a continuing education project in a municipal school network, in light of the decolonial perspective, as a possibility of thinking about the processes from a geoepistemic place. This movement presupposes evidencing the processing of constructions and formative experiences from the perspective of teachers, exercising other ways of producing meanings, forms of understanding and knowledge. In the dialogue between universities, through collaboration with a postgraduate program in education and basic education, the main principles that lead to develop a proposal of in-service training built with the network. Based on the syntheses produced, it is evident the role of educators as teacher-intellectuals, in the production of pedagogical knowledge proper to the field of professional activity, in the creation of a privileged space of knowledge sharing and knowledge production, as well as recognizing an essentially collaborative movement among teachers, ensuring membership by voluntary adherence to the proposal.

ResumoO presente artigo tem por objetivo investigar o conhecimento matemático de professores para o ensino de polinômios na Educação Básica. Escolheu-se o conceito de polinômio devido à sua importância dentro do conhecimento matemático e à sua pouca exploração em pesquisas que abordam do ensino e da aprendizagem de conteúdos algébricos. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa interpretativa, a qual se utilizou de sequências didáticas elaboradas pelos professores em suas análises, as quais foram realizadas à luz do trabalho de Ball e colaboradores. As conclusões de nossa investigação apontam que as sequências didáticas destinadas ao ensino dos polinômios elaboradas pelos professores contemplam aspectos de um conhecimento matemático para o ensino puramente relacionado a aspectos procedimentais e, muitas vezes, desprovido de significados. Alerta-se para a urgência da formação continuada, com foco não somente nos conhecimentos pedagógicos, mas também nos conhecimentos específicos matemáticos. AbstractThis article aims to investigate the mathematical knowledge of teachers for the teaching of polynomials in Basic Education. The concept of polynomial was chosen due to its importance within the mathematical knowledge and to its little exploration in research that deals with the teaching and learning of algebraic contents. It is a qualitative interpretive research, which used didactic sequences elaborated by the teachers in their analyzes, which are realized under Ball and colleagues’ work. The conclusions of our investigation indicate that the didactic sequences destined to the teaching of the polynomials, elaborated by the teachers, contemplate aspects of a mathematical knowledge for the teaching purely related to procedural aspects and, often, devoid of meanings. It is alerted to the urgency of continuing education, focusing not only on pedagogical knowledge but also on specific mathematical knowledge.

The paper identifies and systematically clarifies the possibilities of setting and solving the problem of choosing a model of socialization and self-realization of a person in a system of continuing education. The system of continuing education creates the conditions for holistic study and clarification of the possibilities of personality development, in this choice the person chooses the direction of future professional activity, determines the model of self-realization and socialization, the possibilities of which can be represented in a generalized way through the directions of “education”, “science”, “sport “,” Art “,” culture “, etc. The transition from one direction of socialization and self-realization of a person to another direction may be due to changes in the inner world personality and social and professional environment. The ambiguity of the choice of the model of socialization and the model of personal self-realization in the system of lifelong education determines the problem of personification and unification of the assessment of the quality of an individual’s activity in the chosen direction and the selected constructs for assessing the quality of pedagogical meters. In the structure of detailing the models under consideration, concepts are clarified, the principles of identifying and researching the socialization and self-realization of a person in the system of continuing education are highlighted. The quality and productivity of the identified and solved problems of socialization and self-realization can be clarified and presented in various kinds of self-presentations (student portfolio, professional-pedagogical case, etc.) and resume. To study and visualize the quality of socialization and self-realization of a person in the structure of the work organized by the teacher, you can also use questionnaires, whose popularity and the ambiguity in the interpretation of the received data explains the need for future development of program-pedagogical support for the study of the quality of socialization and self-realization of a person in the system of continuing education.

The teacher is a major milestone in the world of education, the ability and achievement of students cannot be separated from the role of a teacher in teaching and guiding students. Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, in Article 1 explained that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, evaluating, and evaluating students in early childhood education through formal education, basic education and education medium. Whereas in Article 4 of the Act, it is explained that the position of teachers as professionals serves to enhance the dignity and role of teachers as learning agents to function to improve the quality of national education.Decision making is an election process, among various alternatives that aim to meet one or several targets. The decision-making system has 4 phases, namely intelligence, design, choice and implementation. These phases are the basis for decision making, which ends with a recommendation.The Preferences Selection Index (PSI) method is a rarely used decision support system method. This method is a method developed by stevanie and Bhatt (2010) to solve the Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM). With the right consideration, this method can be one of the tools to determine policies in decision-making systems, especially the selection of outstanding teachers. The article considers urgent problem of modern society – progressive increase in the number of people infected with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Epidemiological characteristics of the pathogen are given, clinical signs of the disease and a modern strategy aimed at reducing the number of infected people are presented. The role of specialists with secondary medical education in the implementation of the Strategy aimed at combating the spread of HIV infection epidemic in the Russian Federation is emphasized.

Relevance. The role of pediatric dentistry in younger generation health improvement is undeniable; therefore, developing pediatric dental service is an important health care issue.Purpose. To present the contribution of Lubov Sergeevna Litovkina to paediatric dental service development in connection with her death on December, 23, 2019.Materials and methods. Based on the analysis of professional activity and scientific works of L.S. Litovkina the achievements that have contributed to the development of pediatric dentistry service in Volgograd Region were identified.Results. Public, clinical and scientific activities of L.S. Litovkina were highlighted. Special attention was paid to such areas of her work as the organization of epidemiological dental examinations of children’s population, the implementation of milk fluoridation program for prevention of dental caries in preschool children, school dentistry improvement and applying the dental educational program for the elementary schoolchildren.Conclusions. The organizational and scientific activities of L.S. Litovkina contributed to the development of the paediatric dental service and oral health improvement of children’s population.

This chapter aims at identifying the main determinants of earnings and at estimating the private returns to education in Tunisia. The private rate of return to schooling is relatively low by international standards, especially for basic education. It is argued that in addition to the limited capacity of the economy to create high-productivity jobs, institutional factors may explain the low and heterogeneous returns to education in Tunisia. The returns to schooling are found to increase with the level of education. Regional disparities in earnings and returns to higher education may be explained by the lack of economic opportunities and low exposure to market forces in many inland regions, and also by differentiated early-life conditions as well as inequality of opportunity in access to quality education. These results are used to suggest directions to strengthen the role of public policies in reducing inequality of opportunities in both schooling and earnings.
