ABSTRACT With the approach of managing performance Employee responsibility has risen as a current authoritative idea as of late. The general objective was to establish the Influence of Perceived Supervisor Support on organization performance at Kakamega county government. The study was anchored in the Resource based view (RBV). The study hypothesized that there is a relationship between Perceived Supervisor Support and organization performance. Descriptive research design was applied. The target population was 332 employees of all degrees of the board and supervisory unit. Purposive examining was utilized to concentrate on specific qualities of a populace that are of enthusiasm under examination. A pilot test was directed on 10 employees to gauge unwavering quality of the instruments. Data was examined utilizing Statistical Package for Statistical Scientists (SPSS) programming. To test unwavering quality and legitimacy, a pilot study was directed and Cronbach's coefficient alpha was utilized to set up consistency. A relapse model was utilized to show the connection between factors. The after effects of the exploration were introduced utilizing recurrence, figures and diagrams. The findings of the study, there is a positive relationship between Supervisor Support and organization performance. In Conclusion, that high quality perceived manager aid which include supervisor encouraging on desirable overall performance. Technology has been described as “the systematic application of scientific and other organized knowledge to practical task”. This study focused on youth-led MSES located in Makueni district of Kenya. A descriptive research design was used to carry out the study. Stratified random sampling technique was employed to select a sample of 119 out of the target population of 396. A three-part questionnaire consisting of both quantitative and qualitative questions was the main instrument for collecting data. Both quantitative and qualitative data was collected to reveal the strengths and show the main themes. Quantitative data were analyzed using the SPSS software. From the study, it was revealed that most youths had adopted technology in the form of training and purchase of equipment and that very few experienced and well-established entrepreneurs were able to sub-contract and /or franchise. It was also revealed that technology adopted had impacted positively on the youth-led MSEs in that it has improved quality of goods produced; increased productivity of the enterprise; improved marketability of business products and thus steady growth and enhanced business competitiveness in the market. The MSE technology adoption model developed from the study suggested that a deliberate action aimed at enhancing technology adoption amongst MSEs need to be taken possibly through injection of more capital, provision of emerging quality improvement techniques and creation of MSE linkages and networks among others.

This paper aims to examine the mediating role of organizational cynicism in instigating work alienation with constructs such as perceived supervisor support and perceived organizational politics. The study is descriptive research and quantitative approach was utilized to conduct the study. The data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire from full-time faculty members employed at private universities in Karachi. It was found that although organizational cynicism can significantly be predicted by perceived supervisor support and perceived organization politics, however, organization cynicism failed to play a mediating role in establishing the relationship between the perceptions and work alienation. This study will help the heads of the universities to identify the level of organizational cynicism in their institutions, to overcome the problem and eliminate it.

Health-promoting management behaviour and the associated social support require professional and social competences of supervisors. The behaviour of leaders has an impact on motivation, commitment, as well as on the mental and physical health of their employees – and consequently on their ability to work and employability. Thus, from an entrepreneurial point of view, the skill of managers to provide adequate social support is an indispensable prerequisite for the economic success of the organisation. The two-way relationship (dyad) between the leader and the led, as a reciprocal, dynamic negotiation process, is in the focus of this investigation. For this research in the field of social support, the functions and effects of personal, social support networks have been considered. The question arises, as to whether they can compensate or moderate inadequate social support from supervisors and its effects on the employee’s state of health. From a differential view, social support networks can be understood as a matrix, providing the infrastructure for the production and distribution of a broad spectrum of social support benefits, which in turn represent the social resources of an employee – an important factor for her/his physical and mental health. Social resources in the form of social relationships and social interactions can help to cope with workloads and to better master challenges. In stressful situations, it is helpful to receive emotional or practical support from the support networks of the primary environment. The sample comprises of managers in middle management (N = 132) from different German automotive suppliers. In the examination, the Survey of Perceived Supervisor Support (SPSS), the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) and the Evaluation of Social Systems Scale (EVOS) has been used. It was postulated that the quality of social support networks (mirrored by the EVOS-dimensions “quality of relationships” and “self-efficacy”) moderate the relationship between perceived supervisor support and employees self-rated health. Partly, significant correlations between perceived supervisory support and the self-rated health dimensions “emotional well-being”, “energy/fatigue” and “role limitations due to personal or emotional problems” could be determined. It was also possible to gain the important insight that the networking of employees outside the official hierarchical structures plays an essential role in coping with stress.

Employees are a company's strategic asset, and their efforts help the organization to sustain itself in an increasingly competitive world. Previous research has shown that high job autonomy will allow workers to take part in some activities, thereby increasing their willingness and motivation to learn and prepare further. This study therefore sought to examine the influence of job autonomy on employee performance in county government of Isiolo. This study adopted a descriptive research design involving a mixed method approach. Employees in county government of Isiolo formed the target population for this study. At sample of 140 employees was arrived at by stratified sampling. A structured self-administered questionnaire and interviews were used for the study. Descriptive statistics and chi-square analysis were employed with the help of SPSS. The study found that there was a high job autonomy among employees in county government of Isiolo. Findings also showed as a high employee performance in the sample. There was a significant relationship (χ2 = 27.602, df = 16, p = 0.035) between job autonomy and employee performance. The study concluded that job autonomy influences employee performance in county government of Isiolo. Human resource managers in the public sector ought to enhance job autonomy by increasing the control among employees have over what they are supposed to accomplish. <p> </p><p><strong> Article visualizations:</strong></p><p><img src="/-counters-/edu_01/0885/a.php" alt="Hit counter" /></p>

Based on self-determination theory, we examined how new employees' (newcomers) future work selves and perceived level of supervisor support influence newcomers' proactive socialization in the workplace, a factor that leads to better long-term adjustment. We conducted a survey using a 3-wave longitudinal design with 295 people employed in a range of organizations in China. Results indicate that level of perceived supervisor support had a significant influence on the relationship between newcomers' future work selves and their proactive adjustment behavior, such that the relationship became stronger as perceived supervisor support increased. In addition, we found that newcomers' proactive adjustment behavior was positively related to both the quality of their social integration and their job performance. Theoretical and practical implications and directions for future research are discussed.

Purpose- This study focused on establishing the influence of voting in elections on responsive governance in Kenya. Its main objective was to establish the influence of voting in elections on responsive governance in Kenya. Methodology- Descriptive research design and positivism research philosophy were adopted. The study focused on a target population of 680 respondents from Eighty-five wards within Nairobi County, and data was collected from the following groups of respondents; Civil society representative, religious representative, ward administration representative, youth representative, women representative, the special interest group representative, a representative of the citizens’ anticipating county services and a representative of the old aged residents were targeted. A sample size of 139 respondents was determined though purposive sampling technique. Primary data was collected through questionnaires and secondary data through published materials. Data was analysed through SPSS and presented in tables. Hypothesis testing was done through the use of t-test. F test (ANOVA) was also conducted to ascertain the difference between groups on study variable. Findings- The study found that voting in elections has a positive and significant relationship with responsive governance. The study concluded that that citizen’s education influences their ability and decision to vote in leaders who are effective in service delivery. The study also concluded that incumbent leader performance influences achievement of county goals. Based on the study findings, the researcher recommends that there is need to establish, County, Sub-County and Ward Citizens Forums to enhance voter awareness of residents in local governance. The forums will specifically enable citizens to engage directly in the planning, policy making and monitoring of service delivery accorded to them. Originality/value – This paper fulfils an identified need in understanding how voting in elections can influence responsive governance. The study therefore recommends that all citizens should be empowered and given the rights to vote in their desired leader. Additionally, free and fair elections should be conducted to ensure that candidates with clear manifestos are elected.

In the devolved units in Kenya, despite the formulation of strategic plans, majority of the counties remain underdeveloped with the employees remaining reluctant thus citizens’ demand for better services remain un met. The devolved systems of governments in Kenya have also  been experiencing major challenges in the execution of procurement practices. Counties continue to be criticized for corruption cases, stalled projects, under-development and massive wastage of public resources. All these aspects have been strongly linked to weak procurement management practices which raises concern. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of contract management practices and procurement policies practices, on performance of Machakos County government. The methodology was descriptive research design that guided the study. The study was carried out in County government offices. The target population and unit of observations was 77 employees in procurement department in Machakos County comprising of senior managers and procurement employees, head of other departments as well budget committee members who were selected using a purposeful sampling approach. Data for the study was collected using questionnaires which were self-administered. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis using SPSS version 24. Tables and figures were used in presenting the data. The study found out that Contract Monitoring and, Procurement policies had a positive influence on the performance of Machakos County. The study also concluded that for Machakos County to perform, the procurement department must be able to properly implement, monitor and evaluate these practices. The study recommends that the management of the county to improve on the level of compliance with procurement regulations compliance.

The support of tourism stakeholders is essential for the development, successful operation, and long-term sustainability of tourism. The aim of this paper was to establish how stakeholder involvement influence tourism sector performance the purpose of getting a deeper understanding of what different stakeholders perceive on their involvement and the benefits that they have gotten or brought to the sector. The theory guiding this paper was an integrated model of destination competitiveness. A descriptive research design was used for the study. The target population consisted of employees of hotels, officials of tour firms and officers in the ministry of tourism in the County Government of West Pokot. Systematic stratified sampling was used and a total of 41 respondents selected. Structured questionnaires were used to collect data from the respondents. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. From the R2 was 0.444 meaning that Stakeholder participation predicted 44.4% of tourism performance in West Pokot County and therefore the Counter government should always consider the stakeholders in matters to do with tourism so as to improve its performance.
