This study is conducted to identify the direction of the relationship between working capital management (WCM) and firm performance of the non-financial sector of Pakistan from 2009 till 2018. This has also looked at the effect of restricted access to loan on the WCM- Profitability relationship. The findings confirmed that restricted loan accessibility impacts the WCM-Profitability relationship. The comparative analysis demonstrated that financially constrained firms are mostly non-family firms that are new, growing, smaller in size, face high risk, maintain high liquidity and tangibility ratios than non-constrained firms. Further, the working capital levels of financially constraint firms is lower because of high operating expenses and greater capital rationing. Managers and scholars may use these findings for the administration of their working capital policies in order to avoid the financial cost and create more opportunities for financial accessibility which is further beneficial for making informed investment decisions, yielding higher profits that contribute towards sustainable growth.

The purpose of the study is to develop methodological approaches to forecasting changes in the structure of assets and capital of agricultural enterprises. Methodology. The information base of the article is presented by scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists. The research is based on scientific methods, among which it is expedient to distinguish: analysis and synthesis, comparison, idealization, and abstraction, as well as systematization and generalization – during the formulation of conclusions as a result of the study. Results. It is established that the agricultural sector of Ukraine has significant potential for further growth, but a number of problems hinder its development. Today, the stimulus is the system of land use and land relations, put into effect by lifting the moratorium on land sales. At present, the consequences of such reforms are unpredictable, as there are no clear and transparent rules of the «game» in the sector. It is found out that the most powerful participants in the agricultural market are agricultural holdings, which determine one of the goals of their activities is the development of infrastructure and expansion of influence in foreign markets. In modern economic conditions, the agricultural sector brings 15-20% of Ukraine's GDP annually, and despite the crisis of recent years, provides the population with high-quality products of its own production. Practical implications. One of the main problems in the implementation of working capital management policy is to determine the required amount and optimal composition, which is able to ensure the continuity of the enterprise, the maximum level of efficiency of funds. These problems are solved by forecasting the structure of working capital and forecasting its optimal amount. The urgency of the issue increases due to the fact that the problem of predicting the optimal size and structure of assets and capital challenges is caused by macroeconomic and macro-financial instability. Value/originality. Methodical approaches to forecasting changes in the structure of assets and capital are considered. It is proposed to use a system of indicators for calculations, including the following: growth rate of production and sales, a growth rate of product prices, projected operating costs, non-current assets at the beginning of the forecast period, projected investment, average depreciation rate of non-current assets, duration of production turnover inventories, the duration of collection of receivables, the average share of retained earnings in total profit from sales, the basic volume of production and sales, registered and annual invested capital of the enterprise.

The article defines the characteristics of material and technical resources of agricultural enterprises, examines their relationships and structure. The essence of material and technical resources management is analyzed, the main directions of their effective use are determined. It is determined that the calculation of the need for material resources in enterprises should be based on detailed production plans and individual norms of consumption of material and technical resources for goods or work. The indicators of the strategic plan are used to develop plans for financing, lending and use of working capital of the enterprise, without a logistics plan, the development strategy of the enterprise can not be developed. Taking into account a certain rhythm of deliveries, the methods of planning, standardization of raw material stocks, inventory accounting, control over the implementation of the allocated material values are improved, forecasting methods are used. Production enterprises need working capital, which work in the form of inventories, work in progress, finished products. Forming the minimum normative level of production stocks, it is necessary to take into account the organizational and technical and economic conditions of material and technical support of production. For the normal operation of the enterprise it is very important to organize the operational regulation of stocks. For this purpose, control over the condition of warranty stocks in warehouses is established. An important factor in improving the management of material and technical resources is the organization of operational regulation of stocks. Warehouses not only perform the function of storage and preparation of materials for their release into production, but also help to quickly regulate the consumption of material and technical resources.
