Erodium tataricum is a herbaceous perennial multi-headed tap-root (caudex) plant. Hemicryptophyte. Endemic. The ontogenetic structure was studied in the shrub-herb-grass petrophytic steppe. Individuals of the species have four periods and ten ontogenetic states. It was revealed that the population is normal with an incomplete spectrum. In accordance with the classification of A. A. Uranova and O. V. Smirnova the population is definitive. According to the criterion of the absolute maximum, the population is young. The ontogenetic spectrum of the population is left-sided. A specific ontogenetic spectrum corresponds to a characteristic ontogenetic spectrum, i.e. biology of the species. According to the ontogenetic spectrum, the development of the population is characterized as sustainable. The peculiarity of Erodium tataricum is that on all aerial parts of the plant there is abundant pubescence, but in the old generative ontogenetic state, pubescence on the leaves decreases. Reproduction of the species is carried out by seed. In the subsenile ontogenetic state, senile particulation is possible.

The results of population monitoring in lichen indication promote the detection of resistance of lichen species to the pollution of environment. The population of Xanthoria parietina (L.) Th. Fr. on the territory of the city of Samara and in the neighborhood of the Bolshaya Glushitsa settlement (Bolsheglushitsky district, Samara region) (Russia) were studied. For identification of ontogenetic conditions of talluses, the approaches and a nomenclature of population and ontogenetic researches of Magnoliophyta were used. Taking into account the exposition, the projective cover of Ulmus pumila trunks with Xanthoria parietina talluses was revealed. On Ulmus pumila tree stems in the Bolshechernigovsky municipal district of Samara region the prevailing ontogenetic group in populations of Xanthoria parietina is young generative group, within the city it is mature generative group. Talluses in the same course of ontogenetic development have the least area, and then, the vitality, on the western part of a trunk, and the greatest on the south side. At the same time the vital level of tallus directly depends on the level of environmental pollution. The decrease in the number of talluses is related to indexes of density, illumination, natural tree mortality, cuttings, fires, diseases of tree species.

. The need to study the current state of cenotic populations of rare plant species in nature is not in doubt for the conservation of floristic and phytocenotic diversity at the regional and world levels. The purpose of our study is to study the current state of the cenotic populations of Rare in the Middle Volga basin Hedysarum grandiflorum Pall. To characterize the ontogenetic structure of the cenopopulations, generally accepted demographic indicators were used: the recovery index (the ratio of growth to the generative fraction is calculated), the replacement index (the ratio of growth and the sum of generative and post-regenerative fractions), and the aging index (post-generative to the adult part of the cenotic populations). The population estimation was carried out by the criterion “delta-omega”.A relatively narrow range of ecological and phytocoenotic growth conditions is characteristic of the species, for the most part a patient type of life strategy. Among the limiting factors for the development of populations of environmental factors are their location at the border of the area, uncontrolled grazing in areas, excessive recreation of territories and steppe fires (natural origin and pala) in phytocenoses with the participation of a penny, career development of limestone and Cretaceous slopes, and construction debris, the appearance of dirt roads and the construction of various objects in the points of growth of the model species. The main ways of ontogenesis of the species are identified – normal, accelerated and delayed, breaks in the development of individuals, their rejuvenation and the manifestation of quasisenity were noted. The majority of H. grandiflorum develop at a normal and accelerated rate. The main indicator for determining the current state of populations and their loci is the ontogenetic structure. As an example, information on the ontogenetic composition of some cenopopulations of H. grandiflorum at the Chubovskaya Krasnaya Gorka (High Samara Zavolzhye, Russia) is given. Populations are characterized by the predominance of generative individuals. Of the registered cenopopulations, 11 is characterized as mature, 9 – transitional, 2 – ripening, 1 – young. Aggregation is characteristic of the spatial structure of H. grandiflorum.

Data on the dynamics of the ontogenetic structure of one coenopopulation Jurinea cyanoides (L.) Reichenb.are presented for the period 2014–2019 due to environmental conditions. It is shown that the efficiency of the development of ecological space is the highest in terms of climate continentality and thermoclimatic factors, the lowest in termsof soil moisture and acidity, ombroclimatic aridity-humidity. The ontogenetic spectra are uniform over the years: the maximum fall on individuals of the juvenile, virginal and subsenile ontogenetic states, and the minimum is on the plants ofthe generative period in aggregate. According to the «delta-omega» classification, the studied coenopopulation undergoesdevelopment from young to transitional.

This article presents the data of population-biomorphological studies of the larkspur (Delphinium dictyocarpum DC.) in the Dzhungarskiy Alatau. Purpose of the research isto study the distribution, phytocenotic confinement, biomorphology and structure of Delphinium dictyocarpum populations. The studies were carried out on the territory of the Dzhungarskiy Alatau ridge in 2015–2017. The structure of cenopopulations (CP) was studied in 2 plant communities (descriptions 1, 2). To study the density and ontogenetic structure of cenopopulations in communities transects were laid, divided into areas of 1 m2 in size. The type of cenopopulations was determined according to two classifications of B.A. Yurtseva (1987, 1988) and L.A. Zhukova (2013). When studying the biomorphology and structure of cenopopulations, we used the principles and methods adopted in modern plant population biology developed by L.A. Zhukova (2012) and “Program and methodology...” (1986). The study revealed that Delphinium dictyocarpum in the Dzhungarskiy Alatau grows at an altitude of 1600 to 3200 m above sea level, occupying the upper third or the summit of the high mountains. On the slopes the species is found along the outcrops of rocks and on stony-gravelly areas in the composition of shrub-forb-livebeet, cereal-forb meadows. The species composition of live bunch communities is represented by 125 species of vascular plants from 95 genera and 37 families. The height of the above-ground organs of Delphinium dictyocarpum ranged from 115 to 250 cm.

Trifolium rubens is a Central European forest-steppe plant species reaching its eastern distribution limit in Ukraine and listed in the Red Book of Ukraine (2009).Our study was carried out in 2016–2020 and aimed to analyze the distribution of T. rubens in Ukraine, to identify the composition of phytocoenoses with T. rubens, and to evaluate the current state of its populations in the Zakarpattia region of Ukraine. The distribution of this species was analyzed based on data obtained from the field surveys, literature, online resources, and herbaria. In total, 78 localities of T. rubens were analyzed. Trifolium rubens was found to be distributed in Zakarpattia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, and Vinnytsia regions of Ukraine. Two of these regions (Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi) were not mentioned before in the Red Book of Ukraine. The presence of T. rubens in Volyn, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, and Kyiv regions is doubtful and not confirmed by recent data. Most localities of this species are known from Zakarpattia and Lviv regions.Three new localities were found in the Beregovo district of the Zakarpattia region in the foothills of the Volcanic Carpathians. The floristic compositions of the plant communities and ontogenetic structure of T. rubens populations in Beregovo and Mukachevo districts of the Zakarpattia region were investigated. Investigated populations are isolated with a dispersed disposition of plants on large areas. Trifolium rubens occurs here in meadow-steppe and meadow areas, on hillsides, and also participate in mesoxerophilous secondary (semi-natural) shrub communities in anthropogenically transformed areas. Often such populations are situated along pathways, on forest edges and fallow lands, and associated with ecotones of Trifolio-Geranietea sanguinei class. All studied populations were incomplete with the domination of generative shoots.
