The various fatty acids found in the circulation, cells and tissues of animals that have an important place in the feeding of animals are important components of cell membranes related to events that occur in a rich source of energy and cells. Since the fatty acids groups having important functions can not be synthesized by the mammalian cells, they must be taken from the outside of the body. Fatty acids detected in blood, feces, milk and urine can be an indicator to diagnose some metabolic disorders. This study was conducted to investigate the correlation between fecal matter, urine, milk and blood fatty acid contents in Holstein cows by multiple regression analysis. As a result, milk, blood, stool and urine fatty acid contents were statistically significantly related to each other (p <0.01).

The relations of the Strepsipterous parasite Halictophagus pontifex Fox to seven species of its Cercopid (Aphrophorinae) hosts were studied at a grassland site in Uganda. Dissections of weekly samples of the Cercopids collected by sweeping showed that the duration of the life-cycle of H. pontifex is 30–40 days. The parasite is found only in adult hosts which can support as many individuals (up to 7) in Poophilus costalis (Wlk.) as can develop in the space available in the body cavity. Both the maximum number of parasites per host and the rate of parasitism are related to the volume of the host. Parasitism arrests development of the ovaries of female hosts; they may reproduce after emergence of male parasites but not after exhaustion of females because of reinfection by triungulins. Graphical and regression analysis of the population data (no. individuals/1 000 sweeps) show that, for P. costalis, parasitism by H. pontifex is density dependent and the chief regulating factor. Rainfall 58–64 days before sampling also was correlated with P. costalis density, but multiple regression analysis showed it to be insignificant.

Tax compliance is a major factor affecting tax revenues. To determine the level of compliance of taxpayers in meeting their tax obligations can be seen from the achievement of revenue targets. This research aims to analyzing the influence of taxpayers’ awareness, knowledge of taxation, and taxpayers’ attitude influential on of docility taxpayers in KPP Pratama Boyolali. Convenience sampling was conducted in this research as a method. Data obtained in the form of primary data questionnaire distributed in KPP Pratama Boyolali and data obtained secondary from KPP Pratama Boyolali. Taxpayers taken as sampled was taxpayers who came to KPP Pratama Boyolali who have NPWP good taxpayers people personally and the body was handed SPT in KPP Pratama Boyolali. This research used Multiple Regression analysis tool. The result of research shows that awareness taxpayers influential significantly against of docility taxpayers. The knowledge of the tax is not influential significantly against of docility taxpayers The attitude of the taxpayers significantly influences taxpayer compliance. Keywords: taxpayer awareness, knowledge of taxation, attitude of the taxpayer on tax compliance.

In fisheries science, high number of morphometric measures (independent variables) taken from different parts of the fish complicates the estimation of the body weight (dependent variable). Therefore, the researchers are seeking for a solution facilitating the interpretation of the equations of correlation between the characteristics. One way to deal with this challenge is the dimension reduction by means of stepwise multiple regression analysis. The aim of this study is to explain total variation with the same accuracy by using fewer independent variables. To accomplish this, 12 morphometric measures from 210 individuals of Serranus cabrilla were measured to estimate the body weight. Firstly, the 95% of the variation was explained by means of multiple regression analysis by using all variables. Then, by step-wise method, the same results were achieved with fewer independent variables. Finally, the variables with inter-multicollinearity eliminated and with two remaining independent variables determination coefficients resulted as 95%. The result showed that using more variables does not create significant distinction for accuracy to estimate the body weight although; the total length and body dept was the most effective features for weight.

Introduction: There are few reports about the association of concentrations and proportions of serum fatty acids with age at the onset of acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in elderly patients. Hypothesis: A higher level of saturated FA (SFA) and n-6 polyunsaturated FA (PUFA) cause a younger onset of AIS, and a higher level of n-3 PUFA causes an older onset of AIS. Methods: For the retrospective cross-sectional study, we included patients aged 50 years or older who: 1) were admitted to our institution between August 2016 and July 2019 within 24 hours of AIS onset, and 2) underwent an examination of serum fatty acids. We evaluated concentrations of palmitic acid (PA) and stearic acid (SA) as SFA, oleic acid (OlA) as n-9 PUFA, linoleic acid (LiA), dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (DGLA), arachidonic acid (AA) as n-6 PUFA on admission. We evaluated the concentration of alpha-linolenic acid (AlA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) as n-3 PUFA on admission. We evaluated the proportion of PA, SA, OlA, LiA, DGLA, AA, AlA, EPA, and DHA on admission. Furthermore, we evaluated their correlations with age at the AIS onset. Results: Three hundred sixty-six patients met our inclusion criteria. Their median average age was 75 years. Age at the onset was negatively correlated with concentrations of PA, SA, OlA, LiA, DGLA, AA, and AlA. Age at the onset was negatively correlated with the proportion of SA, OlA, and DGLA and positively correlated with the proportion of EPA and DHA. Multiple regression analysis showed that DGLA was an independent factor for the younger onset of AIS. Multiple regression analysis showed that DHA proportion was an independent factor for the older onset and that proportions of SA and DGLA were independent factors for the younger onset of AIS. Conclusions: The higher proportion of SA (SFA) and higher concentration and proportion of DGLA (n-6 PUFA) were significantly correlated with the younger onset of AIS, and the higher proportion of DHA (n-3 PUFA) was significantly correlated with the older onset of AIS.

Sugar serves as a source of energy/calories for the body. The demand for sugar in Region of Yogyakarta has increased along with the increasing population. Consumers have their own criteria for choosing and consuming sugar. This study aims to know and analyze about factors that influence the purchase decision of sugar in DIY. The approach used is descriotive quantitive with a population of sugar consumers who shop at mini markets and super markets in DIY. Determination of sampling using purposive sampling. Respondents numbered as many as 40 people. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis. The results showed that simultaneously of product quality, price, packaging, product and brand guarantees has influence to purchased decision of sugar, but separately the quality, product and brand guarantees has influence, while price and packaging has no influence to purchase decision of sugar in DIY.
