COVID-19 vaccination programs continue in child populations. Thus, parents’ attitude towards COVID-19 vaccination of their children is crucial for these strategies to succeed. The present study derives from the application of an online COVID-19 Vaccine Acceptance & Hesitancy Questionnaire (COV-AHQ) in which we measure parent’s hesitancy towards children’s vaccination (section 4 of the COV-AHQ) and other significant factors. A logistic regression analysis with backward stepwise method was used to quantify the associations between factors and parent’s hesitancy. According to the correlation analysis, the most representative factors predicting vaccine hesitancy/acceptance were positive attitude towards vaccination, parents believing that the COVID-19 vaccine will enhance the economic situation of the country, parents actively researching information, having the willingness to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine themselves, and the possibility of their children developing adverse effects. Our findings also showed that parents are highly interested in having their children vaccinated. Nonetheless, parents expressed high levels of concern involving their children in developing adverse effects from the vaccine. In addition, obtaining influenza immunization prompted interest in obtaining the COVID-19 vaccine, and younger-aged parents are much more concerned with having their children vaccinated. Therefore, in order to ensure successful vaccination programs, policymakers and health authorities should design strategies to gain confidence and provide security amongst the population, including giving continuous information about the benefits of vaccination and presenting the frequency of side effects to bring parents on board with vaccinating their children.

AbstractThis article presents the results of research on the influence of high pressure on the mechanical properties of sunflower oil. The pressure value was changed by the stepwise method to obtain thermodynamic equilibrium. Dependencies of changes in the volume and compressibility of sunflower oil on pressure were investigated. A discontinuous (step) change was observed indicating the appearance of the first order phase transformation. The phase transition for sunflower oil was observed in the pressure range from 450 to 500 MPa after about 170 h. Most likely, then, there was a change to the double crystal phase. The time after which this transformation took place was the longest of all times that the authors have observed so far for the study.

This study investigated the effect of early rehabilitation on gait restoration, wound healing, and home discharge in patients with lower extremity (LE) chronic wounds. This multicenter, retrospective cohort study included 233 Japanese inpatients who received treatment for LE chronic wounds from April 2012 to March 2015. A multivariate analysis was conducted using outcomes of gait restoration, wound healing, and home discharge as dependent variables. Other survey items were used as independent variables. Early rehabilitation was extracted as an independent factor with gait restoration (hazard ratio [HR] 1.82, P < .01) and home discharge (HR 1.77, P < .001) as dependent factors by the stepwise method in Cox proportional-hazards regression analysis, but it was not extracted as an independent factor with wound healing as the dependent factor by the stepwise method as well as the forced entry method ( P = .44). A significant relationship between the presence of gait restoration and home discharge was observed in the chi-square test ( P<.001), and the duration from admission to gait restoration was significantly correlated to the duration from admission to home discharge (Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficient; r=.89, P<.0001). Early rehabilitation was a positive factor for gait restoration and home discharge in chronic LE wound patients.

AbstractLandslide dam outburst floods have a significant impact on landform evolution in high mountainous areas. Historic landslide dams on the Yigong River, southeastern Tibet, generated two outburst superfloods > 105 m3/s in 1902 and 2000 AD. One of the slackwater deposits, which was newly found immediately downstream of the historic dams, has been dated to 7 ka BP. The one-dimensional backwater stepwise method gives an estimate of 225,000 m3/s for the peak flow related to the paleo-stage indicator of 7 ka BP. The recurrence of at least three large landslide dam impoundments and super-outburst floods at the exit of Yigong Lake during the Holocene greatly changed the morphology of the Yigong River. More than 0.26 billion m3 of sediment has been aggraded in the dammed lake while the landslide sediment doubles the channel slope behind the dam. Repeated landslide damming may be a persistent source of outburst floods and impede the upstream migration of river knickpoints in the southeastern margin of Tibet.

Objectives. The research aimed to examine the relationship between the different types of adult attachment (secure type, anxious and avoidant type) and relationship satisfaction. Also examined the relationship between satisfaction and intimacy, commitment and passion. Sample and setting. The research sample consisted of 120 respondents, university students aged 18 to 26 years (M = 22.54, SD = 1.71). The sample consisted of 97 women and 23 men. Hypotheses. It was hypothesized that a secure adult attachment would be positively related to relationship satisfaction. On the contrary, in the case of anxious and avoidant adult attachment, a negative attitude towards relationship satisfaction was assumed. It was hypothesized that intimacy, commitment, and passion would be positively related to relationship satisfaction. Statistical analysis. Multiple linear hierarchical regression (stepwise method) was performed to verify the relations between the different types of adult attachment, intimacy, commitment, passion, and relationship satisfaction. Results. The research confirmed the relationship between adult attachment and relationship satisfaction, which was one of the main findings. Respondents who showed a secure type of adult attachment were more satisfied in a relationship than those who showed anxious or avoidant behavior. Another important finding was the relation between the love component – intimacy and couple relationship satisfaction. Study limitation. The fact that data were obtained from only one of the partners can be considered as a possible limitation of the study.

Fruit plants in Kediri Regency are classified as having good economic potential, one of which is pineapple. Pineapple plants in Kediri Regency have differences in productivity in each sub-district. The results of interviews with local farmers indicated that the Supiturung Micro Watersheds in Plosoklaten District had low pineapple productivity and were not yet optimal. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the factors causing differences and less optimal productivity of pineapples in the Supiturung Micro Watersheds and analyze the land suitability assessment of pineapple plants in the region. This study used a survey method with a physiographic approach to 10 Land Map Units (LMU) and determined 20 observation points as representatives. Data analysis was performed through correlation and multiple regression tests with the stepwise method to determine the land characteristics that most significantly affected pineapple productivity. Modification of the suitability class and modification of the criteria was carried out utilizing boundary line analysis, with class boundaries according to FAO (1976), namely class S1 (80-100%), S2 (60-80%), S3 (40-60%), and N (<40%) of the potential productivity. The land suitability evaluation results of pineapple plants in the Supiturung Micro Watersheds were included in land suitability classes S2, S3, and N. Based on the stepwise method analysis, the texture is a significant characteristic affecting the productivity of pineapples (p <0.05) with a correlation coefficient value of 0.838. The modification of land suitability criteria with boundary line analysis resulted in changes in one land characteristic, namely soil texture S2, S3, and N. Initially, the rough class included in the N class was changed to S2 level along with the slightly rough level.

Poverty is one of the main problems of the government that is prioritized in developing the development strategy of every country including Indonesia. The poverty rate in Indonesia is still relatively high, so the government focuses on decreasing the existing poverty level by improving the welfare of the population. Therefore, it is very important for the government to know the severity of poverty in Indonesia so that it can take a policy to reduce the existing poverty level. The purpose of the research was to group the severity of provincial poverty in Indonesia with a Discriminant Analysis. The stages of discriminant analysis include testing of normal multivariate distribution, testing of homogeneity of covariance variants, discriminant analysis by stepwise method, then continued calculation of classification accuracy value. The results of this research show that the large classification rate obtained is only 67.7% which means that not all provinces are able to be classified appropriately based on the variable open unemployment rate (TPT).

Abstract Background This study aimed to verify the relationships between sleep problems and both commuting and workplace accidents in workers of both sexes. Methods The study was carried out with a sample of workers (n = 2993; 50.2% female) from the Chilean Quality of Life Survey (ENCAVI) 2015–2016, while the rates of both workplace and commuting accidents were extracted from the statistics of the Superintendence of Social Security (SUSESO 2015; 180,036 and 52,629 lost-time accidents, respectively). Results Chilean workers sleep less than the rest of the people in the country (MW = 7.14 vs. MO = 7.33; t (6789) = − 5.19; p < .001), while the Chilean people as a whole sleep less compared to those of other countries (7.24 h per day). Likewise, it was found that sleep problems are more strongly related to commuting than to workplace accidents. In this vein, sleep quantity can explain 24% of the variance in commuting accidents’ rates (Stepwise Method; R2 = .30, F (1.14) = 5.49, p < .05; β = −.55, p < .05), by using aggregated data with all types of commuting roles (driver of a vehicle, a passenger of public or private transport, or as a pedestrian). Conclusions Our findings show that sleep quantity has a more robust relationship with commuting than workplace accidents, a neglected issue so far. Future prevention programs should emphasize sleep hygiene and focus on commuting to and from work.
