Abstract This study aimed to develop the teaching material for integrated natural science learning in junior high school using 4 steps teaching material development (4STMD) method. There were four steps that should be conducted comprised of selection, structuring, characterization, and didactic reduction. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R&D), so that understanding test was conducted more then once, which are before and after didactic reduction step. The first understanding test result in the average of percentage that are 53,7% and 53,8%. After didactic reduction, the second understanding test result in the average of percentage that is 65,8%. The next test was the feasability test of the teaching material that result in the average of percentage 76,9%, which is in the very good category. Keywords: teaching material; understanding; feasibility Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar untuk pembelajaran IPA terpadu di SMP menggunakan metode 4 Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). Ada empat tahapan yang harus dilakukan pada metode pengembangan bahan ajar tersebut yaitu seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D), sehingga pengujian keterpahaman dilakukan lebih dari satu kali yaitu sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya tahapan reduksi didaktik. Uji keterpahapaman tahap pertama menghasilkan nilai rerata persentasi 53,7% dan 53,8%. Setelah reduksi didaktik, dilakukan uji keterpahaman kedua yang menghasilkan rerata persentasi 65,8%. Uji selanjutnya merupakan uji kelayakan bahan ajar yang menghasilkan rerata persentasi 76,9% yang berada pada kategori sangat baik. The aim of this study are to develop, exam the feasibility, describe the characteristic, and test the student understanding integrated science learning material for Junior High School Student. The theme are developed from volcanic eruption phenomena, which integrated earth science, physics, biology, and social science. The Research and development methode was use to develop integrated science learning material, then captioned “Belajar Sains Melalui Fenomena Erupsi Gunung Api” by Four Steps Teaching Material Development (4STMD). The steps of 4STMD are consist selection, structuring, characterization, and didactical reduction step. Based on the feasibility test, these learning material is qualified in content presetation, language, and graphic feasbility aspects. The characteristic of these learning materials describe that have easy concepts. Based on the understanding test result, the learning material is qualified on good category. It can be conclued that the learning material qualified to be used as supplement learning material of science learning.

Indonesia is a country with very rich in local regional potential. The local potential can be utilized as one of the natural science learning sources in junior high school. One of the local potentials that can be integrated with science lessons is food. This research aimed to conduct the study, analysis, and develop science subject specific pedagogy of natural science learning integrated local food in Cangkringan Sub-District to introduce chemical materials in junior high school, namely additives in food and its impact on health. This research was research and development (R&D) with 4-D model, consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Product eligibility is assessed by the validator using the product feasibility assessment sheet. Product feasibility assessment scores are then classified in product rating category classification. This research results is produce science subject specific pedagogy that consist of syllabuses, lesson plans, handouts, and student worksheets. The developed syllabus gets a feasibility score of 4.00, lesson plan gets a score of 3.80, the handout gets a score of 3.60, while the student worksheet gets a score of 3.80. Based on these results, overall, the science subject specific pedagogy developed gained a very good category.

This study presents a review of literature on the development of global warming e-book oriented to environmental literacy which can be used in science learning in junior high school. Education has a very important role to involve the common people in an effort to reduce global warming. One solution that can be done so that students get information about global warming is by learning media. E-books can be one of the media used in good learning for students. The purpose of this study was to develop and find out the effectiveness of the use of global warming e-book oriented to environmental literacy. This research method is research and development (Research and Development) with ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results show global warming e-book has gone well and provides a role in increasing students environmental literacy at the value of effectiveness obtained at 48.87 (medium category).

The purposes of this research and development is to produce feasible and valid teaching materials utilizing augmented reality-assisted guided inquiry learning model in the activity of identifying life organizational system for 7th grade students of Junior High School/Islamic Junior High School, as teaching material in Covid-19 Pandemic era. This research used Lee and Owens research and development model, limited to three stages, namely: analysis/assessment, design, and development. The feasibility of the teaching materials were determined from the results of the validation and user assessment. The teaching materials were developed in A6-sized printed books containing Basic Competence 3.6 materials of life organizational system from the cellular level to organismic level. The materials were presented in the forms of illustrations, videos, three-dimensional AR animations, and handouts on google drive. Based on the validity result which was conducted by material and media experts, it was discovered that the teaching materials were valid and feasible for learning with the score percentage of more than 81 percent.

This research aims to produce products in the form of printed modules and CDs containing augmented reality (AR) applications. The AR application on the CD was transferred to the mobile phone and installed. Augmented reality technology in the form of 3D animation and video appears by scanning markers or images in the module using the AR application camera on the mobile phone. One of the 3D animations shown is an animation of the earth, while one of the videos shown is a video about layers in the Earth's atmosphere. This research method uses research and development R&D (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model development model. The ADDIE model consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research is only up to the development stage. The source of the data used in this research is the assessment score that comes from a questionnaire in the form of a checklist filled out by an expert validator. The data obtained showed that the material validation score was 3.48 (high category) and the media validation score was 3.51 (very high category). The results of this research indicate that the mobile augmented reality-based science learning media on the Earth layer and disaster material has been valid in terms of material and media, so it is suitable to be used as a learning media for the Earth layer and disaster in class VII junior high school.

Geometry is a mathematical science that studied points, lines, planes, spaces, and the relationships of them. One of the topic is geometric transformation. The Several research found that students hadn’t understood the concept of transformation, so that it needed a teaching material especially student’s worksheet. The research aimed to develop valid, practical and effective student’s worksheet with GeoGebra on the geometry transformation in junior high school. The research method was used R&D (Research and Development) using a modification of the 4-D model. The development model consists defined, designed and developed. The results of the research indicated that (1) this product was valid according to media experts and material experts, (2) it was practical, (3) effective to be used in mathematics learning, especially geometric transformation.

This research aims to develop the activities-based instructional material in junior high school natural science learning on sense of hearing and sonar systems topic through Media Interactive CD to improve learning achievement. This research use research and development. The model used is taken from Dick and Carey’s developmental model. The tests used are one group pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique used descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that (1) the validation of teaching materials id categorized as feasible, (2) the feasibility of teaching materials with the average score of 3.7 is categorized as good, the percentages of students' response to learning and media are 98.81% and 90.48% , categorized as very good, 99,29% legibility of media is categorized as very good, (3) the effective teaching materials to reach the achievement of students’ competency and activate students gets an average score of 3.25, the cognitive aspect of learning outcomes is categorized as "B+", the aspect of skill is 3.58, categorized as " A- ", aspects of spiritual attitude is 3.67, categorized as very good, aspects of social attitudes is 3.60, categorized as very good. Based on the research findings, we can conclude that the activities-based instructional material in junior high school natural science learning on sense of hearing and sonar systems topic through Media Interactive CD is feasible, practical and effective to be used in the teaching and learning process.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis aktivitas dengan media CD interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP pada materi indera pendengaran dan sistem sonar untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar. Model pengembangan yang  digunakan  adalah  model  Dick  and  Carey.  Uji  coba  bahan  ajar  di  dalam  kelas  menggunakan rancangan one group pre-test and post-test design. Teknik analisis yang dikembangkan adalah deskriptif kuantitaif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) validasi bahan ajar berkategori layak, (2) kepraktisan bahan ajar berkategori baik dengan skor rata-rata keterlaksanaan 3,7 berkategori baik, persentase respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dan media 98,81% dan 90,48% berkategori sangat baik, keterbacaan media 99,29% berkategori sangat baik, (3)  bahan  ajar  efektif untuk menfasilitasi siswa mencapai ketercapaian kompetensi dan mengaktifkan siswa dengan skor rata-rata hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan 3,25 berkategori “B+”, aspek keterampilan 3,58 berkategori “A-“, aspek sikap spiritual 3,67 berkategori sangat  baik,  aspek  sikap  sosial  3,60  berkategori  sangat  baik.  Berdasarkan temuan  hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahan ajar berbasis aktivitas dengan media CD interaktif dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP pada materi indera pendengaran dan sistem sonar layak, praktis dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

This research had aimed to develop a Natural Science Learning Material with PDEODE strategy to minimize misconceptions of Junior High School students on material structure and function  of plant tissue. The learning instrument is developed by using 4-D model with a try out-design namely one group pre-test - post-test design. The lesson plan has been tried out to 25 students’ of VIII-B class SMP Raden Rahmat Surabaya in the odd semester of  2016/2017 academic year. The data collection apply data validation, observation, achievement test, and questionnaire. The research data were analysed descriptively both qualitative and quantitative. The research findings were as follows: (1) The validity of the learning instrument which comprises Lesson Plan, Student Book, Student Worksheet, and a valid Identify Misconceptions Instrument; (2) The practicality of the learning instrument that can be found from: (a) the implementation of the lesson plans that is categorized as ‘good’, (b) the students’ activities and (3) The effectiveness of the learning instrument that was reviewed through: (a) the decrease misconception student from pretest to postest;; and (b) the response of students’ . Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the Natural Science Learning Instrument based Predict-Discuss-Explain Observe-Discuss-Explain (PDEODE) strategy was feasible to minimize of misconceptions student’s Junior High School.
