The numerous clinical presentations of congenital abnormalities of the lymphatic system in children and the confusing terminology used to describe their pathologic diagnoses impede the physician's understanding of the condition. The clinical classification based on the actual symptoms of the congenital problems we have presented here should help the physician identify the specific abnormality and a potential treatment. Future research should concentrate on the specific causes and the treatment of these congenital abnormalities.

A case is described of a diffuse, possibly generalized, abnormality of a hamartomatous nature of the peripheral vascular system. A number of cases from the literature, which also appear to belong in this category, are summarized. Histologic examination shows that lymph and blood vessels may both be involved, though this may be essentially an abnormality of the lymphatic system in which extensive venolymphatic communications occur. The clinical manifestations vary according to the site of involvement and the extent of dissemination and also according to whether the lesions are predominantly hemangiomatous or lymphangiomatous. The main features are osteolytic lesions, visceromegaly, cutaneous hemangiomas or lymphangiomas and massive effusions into any body cavity. The effusions are usually chylous, sanguineous or a mixture of both. Any or all of these features may be present in any one case. The disease frequently has its onset in childhood or adolescence and tends to be progressive. If the lesions are widely disseminated or an effusion into a body cavity is present the outlook is grave. Treatment so far has been unsuccessful. Surgery may occasionally have a place. The term angiomatosis is employed to denote this condition not only to underline its potentially extensive nature but also to avoid debate as to whether it is essentially hemangiomatosis or lymphangiomatosis.

The synchrony of patient-ventilator interaction affects the process of mechanical ventilation which is clinically applied for respiratory support. The occurrence of patient-ventilator asynchrony (PVA) not only increases the risk of ventilator complications but also affects the comfort of patients. To solve the problem of uncertain patient-ventilator interaction in the mechanical ventilation system, a novel method to evaluate patient-ventilator synchrony is proposed in this article. Firstly, a pneumatic model is established to simulate the mechanical ventilation system, which is verified to be accurate by the experiments. Then, the PVA phenomena are classified and detected based on the analysis of the ventilator waveforms. On this basis, a novel synchrony index SIhao is established to evaluate the patient-ventilator synchrony. It not only solves the defects of previous evaluation indexes but also can be used as the response parameter in the future research of ventilator control algorithms. The accurate evaluation of patient-ventilator synchrony can be applied to the adjustment of clinical strategies and the pathological analyses of patients. This research can also reduce the burden on clinicians and help to realize the adaptive control of the mechanical ventilation and weaning process in the future.

An information tracking system of the liquefied petroleum gas industry is important to the government in carbon emissions economics. This research applied an information tracking system to the liquefied petroleum gas industry. It also formulated finding a minimization unexpect LPG quantity (Gap), and auto plot the variation by time of a selected firm using html5 techniques, which unexpect LPG quantity (Gap) was over the predefined threshold. Through a web-structure dynamic tracking system, a manager can easily access the information of unexpect LPG quantity (Gap) firms. Future research suggests expanding this research to physical tank constraints calculation.

The drug baclofen is a potential treatment for severe tinnitus, but its action in relieving tinnitus is not known. Baclofen is available as an approved drug only in racemic form with about equal content of the two enantiomers. In the present paper we show that l-baclofen causes a considerable (40.7%) suppression of the amplitude of the second peak in the click-evoked response from the cochlear nucleus. Bipolar recordings from the external nucleus of the inferior colliculus showed that l-baclofen caused a reduction in the amplitude of three or four distinct peaks in this response. d-Baclofen had no detectable effect on the response from the cochlear nucleus, and had only a slight effect on one component of the response from the external nucleus of the inferior colliculus. The demonstrated effect of l-baclofen on excitation in the ascending auditory pathway indicates that this drug may be a potential treatment for hyperactive auditory disorders such as tinnitus and hyperacusis.

SummaryIn the immune system the lymphatic system has a central function. Starting with absorption and transport of the antigen to the lymphatic nodes it initiates the production of antibodies. Many substances like fat, proteins and cell detritus can only be absorbed and transported by the lymphatic system. A defect of this systems reduces defence and increase the risk of infection. Any inflammation includes and intensifies lymphoedema. Therefore early and sufficient therapy is important.
