This research is driven by the low level of problem solving ability of 8th grade students of SMPN 2 Lengayang. This study aims to determine the problem-solving ability of mathematics students taught by matrix Missouri mathematics project with a strategy of Think-Talk-Write better than students who use the scientific approach. This research is a quasy experiment research. The population of this research is all students of class VIII SMPN 2 Lengayang, and sampel is this research class VIII.A and class VIII.E. Based on the results of this study obtained the average value of mathematical problem-solving skills of learners who were taught by MMP method with TTW strategy is 76 and the usual learning is 68. After hypothesis testing using t-test, known ttable = 1,64 and tcount = 2,23 with 95% confidence level, this means that this indicates that the accepted hypothesis means the ability to solve mathematical problems of students with MMP with scientific approach.Keyword : Mathematical Problem Solving Skills, Learning Model Type Missouri mathematics project (MMP), and strategy of Think-Talk-Write (TTW)

This study aims to determine whether the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills that get the learning of Model-Eliciting Activities is better than students who get regular learning. Method in this research is experiment and research design pretest and postest in experiment and control class. The population in this study were all students of MTs Kota Cimahi. School samples were taken at random, and obtained by MTs Negeri Kota Cimahi. Then the sample is selected two class VIII at random class. The experimental class uses Model-Eliciting Activities, while the control class uses ordinary learning. The hypothesis in this research is the improvement of student solving abilities of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities is better than using ordinary learning. Research data obtained through the instrument of posttest mathematical problem solving ability. The posttest data is processed by normality test, homogeneity test, and two average difference test using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) software version 16.0 for Windows. The results showed that the improvement of problem solving ability of MTs students in Cimahi whose learning using Model-Eliciting Activities was better than those using ordinary learning.

This research aimed to develop local instruction theory that is valid, practical, and effective to help elementary school students developing their mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore a sequential activityis design on dailybasis to encourage students to develop their ability to solve mathematical problems, especially on the topic division. To achieve the goal, realistic mathematics approach was implemented to grade three elementary students in the learning process. The designed activities were validated by experts on the aspects of mathematical contents, language, didactical process based on realistic mathematical approach. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and parametric statistics. The validation results show that the local instruction theory was valid, and the implementation shows that the local instruction theory is practical and effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

AbstrakRendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa menyebabkan siswa kurang mampu menyelesaikan soal yang bersifat non rutin dan siswa masih kurang mengembangkan ide dan kemampuan yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model Problem Based Learning berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematika (KAM) siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model Problem Based Learning menjadi lebih baik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-7 SMP Negeri 12 Padang yang terdiri dari 32 orang. Siswa yang awalnya berkemampuan rendah meningkat menjadi siswa berkemampuan sedang dengan peningkatan sebesar 75 %. Siswa yang awalnya tergolong berkemampuan sedang meningkat menjadi siswa berkemampuan tinggi sebesar 26 %. Siswa sudah mampu 1) memahami masalah, 2) menyusun rencana penyelesaian, 3) melaksanakan penyelesaian, dan 4) mengecek kembali jawaban. Analysis of Students' Problem Solving Abilities Based on Early Mathematical Ability AbstractThe lack of students' mathematical problem-solving skills causes students to be less able to solve problems that are non-routine and students are still lacking in developing their ideas and abilities. This study aims to determine students 'mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model based on students' Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). The research method used is qualitative. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities through the Problem Based Learning model are better. The sample in this study were students of class VIII-7 Middle School 12 Padang consisting of 32 people. Students who were initially low-skilled increased to moderate-capable students with an increase of 75%. Students who were initially classified as capable were increasing to high-ability students by 26%. Students can 1) understand the problem, 2) draw up a settlement plan, 3) carry out the solution, and 4) re-check the answers.

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu tujuan pendidikan nasional di Indonesia, tetapi pencapaiannya masih tergolong rendah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posstest-only. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 60 peserta didik yang terbagi dalam dua kelas (30 kelas eksperimen dan 30 kelas kontrol). Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah SMP N 10 Bekasi dan SMP N 26 Bekasi. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran teamdengan strategi pembelajaran tugas dan paksa, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran . Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji beda rata-rata sampel bebas. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai peserta didik yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization dengan strategi tugas dan paksa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rata-rata nilai peserta didik yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Kata kunci: Model pembelajaran team assisted individualization, Strategi pembelajaran tugas dan paksa, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika   ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine the effect of team assisted individualization learning models with task learning strategies and forced to the ability to solve mathematical problems. Mathematical problem solving ability is an ability that belongs to the national education goals, but its achievement is still relatively low. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a poststest-only research design. Sampling in this study uses purpose sampling technique. The study sample consisted of 60 students divided into two classes (30 experimental classes and 30 control classes). This research was conducted in the school of SMP N 10 Bekasi and SMP N 26 Bekasi. The experimental class uses team individualization learning models with task and forced learning strategies, while the control class uses direct learning. The collected data is then analyzed using independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of students who learned using the team assisted individualization learning model with higher task and forced strategies compared to the average value of students who learned using direct learning models. This research is an action research study . The problem formulated in this research is whether through geographical assisted inquiry method , mathematical problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK TI Development on the material of sinus and cosine rules can be improved? The aim is to examine the improvement of problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK IT Development of Cimahi through geogebra assisted inquiry method .This research was conducted on the students of class XI-TEI B SMK IT Development Cimahi academic year 2017-2018 with the number of students 24 people. The instrument used is a test of learning outcomes as a test of students' mathematical problem solving abilities of the sin and cosine rules, cycle I , II and II tests (after giving of action) and observation sheet for teachers and students for the conditions of action implementation. R prosedu study consisted of: (1) planning, (2) p elaksanaa n action, (3) observation and evaluation, and (4) r efleksi. The average value of the results of the test cycle II, which is 30 , 25 increased by 16.17 compared to the average value of the results of the test cycle I, namely 14.08. And the average value of the third cycle test results that is 76 , 75 increased by 46.50. Based on the performance indicators, it is concluded that the mathematical problem solving ability of students of class XI-TEI B SMK TI Pembangunan Cimahi on the material of sinus and cosine rules can be improved through geogebra assisted inquiry method .

This study aims to determine the effect of using student worksheet (LKPD) based on the Problem Based Learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pangean. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest – posttest control group design. The population was all students of SMP Negeri 2 Pangean Indonesia in the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling method was using random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the posttest mean score in the experimental class was 85.45 and the average value in the control class was 54.5, meaning that the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The two-mean difference test using the t test was significant (2-tailed) 0.000 <α = 0.05, which means that the posttest score of students 'mathematical problem solving abilities was different from the average posttest score of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. which uses scientific learning. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

Mathematical cognitive abilities that must be possessed by students one of them is the ability to understand mathematics and mathematical poblem solving. The pupose of this study is to determine the extent to which the ability and solving mathematical problems that students have. The research method used is qualitatve descriptive with sampel nineteen students class IX MTs in Cianjur egency. The test instrument was given five questions of mathematical comprehension and five problems of mathematical problem solving test. Based on the results of ability to comprehend and solve mathematical problems, the understanding and problem solving skills of MTs students in Cianjur regency is still low.

The purpose of this research is to assess whether the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving skills using Problem Posing approach is better than those using ordinary learning. The population in this research is MTs Nurul Falah Cimahi. This research instrument in the form of a test of mathematical problem solving skills of five items. This research data is processed using software SPSS Version 22. Data analysis used is test of normality and test of two difference of mean. The result of this research stated that the achievement and improvement of problem solving skills of MTs students using Problem Posing approach is better than the normal learning, and the implementation using Problem Posing approach has been run in accordance with the learning procedure found and the difficulties experienced by students in solving the problem of solving skills mathematical problems are present in indicators of understanding problems, planning problems, implementing problem-solving plans, and re-examination.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika mahasiswa calon guru semester VI IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Secara khusus, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika mahasiswa calon guru semester VI IKIP-PGRI Pontianak pada masing-masing aspek pemecahan masalah matematika. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitiannya adalah studi kasus. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Pada aspek memahami masalah, mahasiswa sudah menuliskan informasi yang ada pada soal namun masih terdapat kekurangan dan kesalahan dalam menentukan apa yang ditanyakan pada soal, (2) Pada aspek merencanakan penyelesaian, mahasiswa masih belum menuliskan rencana penyelesaian secara sistematis dan detail pada tiap langkah-langkahnya, (3) Pada aspek melaksanakan rencana penyelesaian, masih terdapat kesalahan dalam perhitungan sehingga menghasilkan jawaban yang kurang tepat, (4) Pada aspek memeriksa kembali hasil yang diperoleh, masih terdapat kesalahan dalam kesimpulan akibat dari kesalahan dalam memahami masalah dan juga kesalahan dalam perhitungan. Kata kunci: pemecahan masalah, program linear Abstract This study aims to decrypt the problem solving skills of mathematics students prospective teacher semester VI IKIP-PGRI Pontianak. Specifically, this study aims to describe the mathematical problem solving skills of prospective teachers of semester VI of IKIP-PGRI Pontianak in each aspect of solving mathematical problems. In this study used descriptive method with the form of research is a case study. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) In the aspect of understanding the problem, the students have written information on the problem but there are still deficiencies and mistakes in determining what is asked on the question, (2) In the aspect of the plan of settlement, the student still has not written the plan (3) In the aspect of executing the settlement plan, there are still errors in the calculation so as to produce a less precise answer, (4) In the aspect of re-examining the results obtained, there is still a mistake in the conclusion of the result of Error in understanding the problem and also the error in the calculation. This study aims to apply the RME-based ethnomatematics learning model to improve problem solving skills of prospective mathematics education teachers at the University of Bengkulu. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with data collection techniques through student observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. Subjects in this study were 2A semester students at the University of Bengkulu in the 2017/2018 school year, totaling 22 people consisting of 6 male students and 16 female students. This study lasted two cycles through the RME-based ethnomatematics learning model with the following phases (1) orienting students to problems; (2) organizing students to study; (3) assisting independent and group investigations; (4) develop and present artifacts (works); (5) process analysis and evaluation. Based on this research, it was concluded before the implementation of the Ethnomatematics-based RME learning model, pre-action tests were conducted which resulted in an average value of 69.00 after the implementation of the ethnomatematics-based RME learning model could improve students' mathematical problem-solving ability with the problem solving ability test results. mathematics students get an increase in the average value of the first cycle of 70.77 to the second cycle of 79.59 and the percentage of mathematical problem solving ability increased from the first cycle of 81.82% to the second cycle of 95.45%
