Both Pope Francis and Robert Schreiter recognize that the world has been profoundly affected by conflict, globalization, and the breakdown of relationships on multiple levels. They also assert that the Church must address these situations. The ecclesiologies of both Schreiter and Francis offer effective tools for this work. This article will examine several key, shared concepts within their ecclesiologies. Specifically, their understandings of the missionary nature of the Church and their robust understanding of catholicity prove to be key concepts in the Church's response to a world marred by sin.

Síntese: A pretensão deste artigo é provocar uma discussão sobre o atual panorama eclesial, fortalecendo e contribuindo com o movimento de renovação ou de conversão eclesial desencadeado pelo papa Francisco e formulado por ele nos termos de “Igreja em saída” para as “periferias do mundo”. Depois de algumas considerações mais gerais sobre a problemática da análise do panorama eclesial, apresenta a novidade que representa Francisco e seu projeto de uma “Igreja em saída para as periferias”, no atual panorama eclesial, e indica alguns desafios e algumas tarefas teológico-pastorais que emergem deste projeto de renovação ou de reforma eclesial. E conclui com uma convocação ao fortalecimento e ao aprofundamento teológico-pastoral deste projeto, não desperdiçando o “tempo de graça” que o Senhor nos concede.Palavras-chave: Conjuntura eclesial. Teologia.Abstract: The purpose of this article is to provoke a discussion about the current ecclesial panorama, strengthening and contributing to the movement of renewal or of ecclesial conversion triggered by Pope Francis and formulated by him in terms of “the Church on exit” to the “peripheries of the world “. After a few more general considerations on the issue of the ecclesial landscape analysis, the article presents the novelty that Francis and his project of a “Church on exit to the peripheries” represents in the current ecclesial scene, and indicates some challenges and some theological-pastoral tasks that emerge from this project of renewal or of ecclesial reform. It concludes with a call for the strengthening and theological-pastoral deepening of this project, so that the “time of grace” that the Lord is granting us will not be wasted.Keywords: Ecclesial conjuncture. By showing people mercy, God points to the Church the way to fulfill her saving mission in the world. According to Pope Francis, the renewal of pastoral activity should be carried out in the logic of God’s mercy. As the beating heart of the Gospel, it should be at the center of the message of salvation communicated to people and give shape to pastoral care. The operationalization of the truth about God’s mercy leads pastors to adopt the attitude of going to the periphery of existence, to bring forgiveness and comfort to people wounded by sin, and to be ready to accompany them in achieving full Christian maturity. Their motivation to perform the service in imitation of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect personification of God’s mercy, cannot be weakened by misunderstandings, the disappearance of sin consciousness or a relativistic approach to moral values and principles. Acting in accordance with the logic of mercy, the Church bears witness to her fidelity to God and makes a significant contribution to building a more human world.

Abstract This article examines the highly influential Papal encyclical Laudato Si issued by Pope Francis in June 2015. The scientific basis behind climate change is discussed, as are the consequences of climate change, which will be disproportionately borne by the poor countries and poor peoples of the world. The Pope’s prescriptions for coping with climate change are reviewed and the article concludes with a discussion of how Laudato Si exemplifies the simultaneous, and frequently intersecting, themes of protecting the environment and protecting the poor in Catholic social thought. In many ways, Laudato Si is the product of the church of the poor confronting climate change.

Jacques Derida is a phenomenal philosopher through his philosophy of deconstruction theory. Derida showed systematically the death of structuralism. His speech shocked the world of academics in France and almost all of America and Europe. Deconstruction is a new way of reading the text, by shifting the core of a text to the side, and put the idea on the edge (the unnoticed, hidden ideas) to the center or importance. Derida rejected dichotomous, binary opposition, bipolarity, thinking model or ways of thinking that one is privileging and marginalizing other ideas. Derida thought the model that would proclaim democratic, open, and dynamic diversity that would make room for multiple interpretations of meaning or open horizon that tolerate differences in interpretation of a text. What was conceptualized by Derida is found legitimacy in practical adequacy in the figure of Pope Francis, the Catholic Church's highest leader. Francis shows a deconstructive way to lead contemporary Catholic Church. Francis has opened a new, broader, and other meaning in looking the praxis of the Church. He does not prioritize elitist lifestyle, yet puts a simple and frugal lifestyle. He changes conservative theology into progressive-liberal theology. He realized Church needs not theology but a living testimony of a good, caring, generous, compassion life that does not use religion for immoral behavior, dehumanization, and corruption. Derida did philosophical deconstruction, Francis did spiritual-leadership deconstruction. What unites both of them is a word called "deconstruction".

Resumo: Este é um estudo teológico sobre o mistério da Encarnação do Verbono pensamento do Papa Francisco como fundamento sobre o qual ele se apoiapara propor, a partir da Evangelli Gaudium, uma renovação eclesial inadiável1,uma Igreja em permanente estado de missão2, a partir do Evangelho, núcleocentral do anúncio, para a manifestação da beleza do amor de Deus, reveladoem Jesus Cristo morto e ressuscitado3. Para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisaserá feita a análise de alguns números da Constituição Dogmática Dei Verbumcom o fim de melhor explicitar a revelação divina e a encarnação como ápiceda revelação. O resultado desta pesquisa é ajudar na percepção que o Papatem do Concílio Vaticano II sobre a Igreja e sua dimensão pastoral no mundo ecomo ele, nos passos do Concílio, propor uma renovação eclesial.Palavras-chave: Revelação. For the development ofthis research some numbers of the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum will beanalyzed in order to better explain divine revelation and incarnation as the apexof the revelation. Pope Francis has received a great deal of attention for his modern, secular-friendly gestures: he has embraced many people traditionally condemned by the Church (such as LGBT Catholics and divorced women), and he has condemned corporate greed and the degradation of the environment. But Pope Francis has another side that seems contrary to this modernity. He has shown a real passion for archaic devotional practices that many modern Catholics consider superstitious, and he has made it clear that he believes in the Devil as a literal, powerful presence in the world. Francis the Old entangles in thought-provoking ways with Francis the New. This chapter explores the entanglement with analyses of relics, including the Shroud of Turin, and Francis’s preoccupation with the Devil and exorcism.

Pope Francis is urging ministry leaders to become a more synodal church, one where the people of God journey together as a faith community to create a more just and compassionate world. This calls for ministry leaders to embrace a paradigm shift, to not just rename their programs or develop new ones, but to develop a new worldview from which to understand and engage the New Evangelization as envisioned by Pope Francis. However, the 2018 Synod on Young People revealed that the current parish and diocesan programming with young adults are inadequate in: (1) curbing the increasing tide of religious disaffiliation in young adults and (2) addressing the real and felt needs of contemporary Catholic young adults. This article argues for a new ecclesiological imagination that enables ministry leaders to go out into the world to fully engage young adults in the life of the Church.

The philosophy of three prominent Christian thinkers is considered: St. Francis of Assisi, Nikolai Fedorovich Fedorov and Pope Francis. Despite the time distance, each of them sets forth common ideas. It is claimed that the link between these individuals is the philosophy of cosmism. A typical representative of this trend is Nikolai Fedorov, but thinking in the categories of cosmism is also noted in the works of St. Francis of Assisi and Bishop of Rome. It is proposed to call them Christian anarchists who violate the fossilized structure of the church and society. The specificity of their anarchism is emphasized, devoid of negative features, built in the image of Christ and leading to the renewal of the sacred space, the Earth. The basic concepts of each of the three Christian anarchists are considered. The analysis of their philosophy allows for the formulation of the thesis that the ideas they propose to restructure the world and society are based on the principle of Christ – “not by force, but by love”.
