Aonla or Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis Gaertn) is a wonderful fruit and one of the precious gifts of nature to man. The popular use of this fruit is in indigenous medicines (Ayurvedic system) viz., trifla and chayavanprash. In addition, the aonla fruits are preserved and sold in the form of murabba, pickles, candy, jelly and jam. Aonla is an important and highly valued fruit grown in India. There is a wide scope to improve and increase the aonla production by enhancing the knowledge regarding improved aonla cultivation. Knowledge plays an important role in adoption of improved cultivation and post harvest practices of aonla. The present study was conducted in Jhadol panchayt samiti of Udaipur district, Rajasthan to assess knowledge of tribal women regarding improved aonla cultivation and post harvest practices. Total ten villages were selected from three clusters viz., Ogna, Jhadol and Baghpura. A sample of 200 tribal women was selected through random sampling technique from selected villages with proportion to the size of sample in the selected villages. Selected respondents were interviewed personally using well structured pre tested interview schedule. The collected data were analyzed by using appropriate statistical tool to infer results. The study revealed that the respondents possessed average knowledge with overall MPS 64.87 regarding improved cultivation practices of aonla. Knowledge assessment of the respondents regarding post harvest practices showed that they possessed average knowledge about post harvest practices with overall MPS 55.46.

The present study was aimed at determining the constraints confronted by the farmers in livelihood diversification. The purposes of this study were to determine the extent and nature of livelihood diversification of the farmers and also to explore relationships of 13 selected characteristics of the farmers with their livelihood diversification. There were a total of 1270 farmers in the 5 villages constituted the population of the study, out of which 10 percent of the total farmers were selected through simple random sampling technique. This gave a sample size of 127 such farmers. Data were collected by the researcher himself with the help of pre-tested interview schedule during 15 February 2013 to 30 March, 2013. The livelihood diversification scores of the respondents ranged from 0.22 to 0.79 with an average of 0.41. It is seen that more than half of the farmers 53.5% had medium level of livelihood diversification compared to 19.7 percent of them having low livelihood diversification and 26.8 percent had high livelihood. Out of 13 selected characteristics of the farmers, seven of those viz. education, family education, income generating experience, household annual income, communication exposure, organizational participation and attitude towards livelihood diversification had positive significant relationship with livelihood diversification. The purpose of this paper is whom do Sports Goods Industry (SGI) consider as their stakeholder, which stakeholders they give priority to others and why. The present study is exploratory. A list of sports goods manufacturers in Meerut was procured from the Federation of sports goods manufacturers. The total number of manufacturers as per the list was 356. With the help of a simple random sampling technique, 50 were selected for a pilot study, and 100 for the final study. The required information obtained using a structured interview schedule. There are nine interest groups identified by the SGI Meerut. These are - customers, suppliers, competitors, governments, partners, communities, owners, investors and labor. Out of the recognized interest groups in SGI Meerut, customers top the list of preference. There is a need of accommodating stakeholders concerns in business.

The study is an attempt to understand training needs in areas of agrienterprises. Investigation was carried out in three regions of Andhra Pradesh. Exploratory research design was used. The respondents (n=240) were the youth residing in the villages at the time of investigation. Simple random sampling technique was used for sample collection from twenty four villages. Pre-tested interview schedule was used for data collection. The inferential statistical tools like mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage were used for analysis of data. An attempt was made to assess the areas of training needs to be focused mainly for agripreneurs to run their agri-enterprises smoothly. Manufacturing techniques (2.69) ranked first among the list of areas training needs for agripreneurs.

The present study was conducted in Mehsana (urban and rural area) and Ahmadabad (urban and rural area) city. The sample size was 720 women and they were selected from both the cities. The women who were educated upto 12th standard, graduate and post graduate were randomly selected for the study. Purposive random sampling technique was used for selection of the sample. The research design for the present paper was two pronged approach. A descriptive survey with pre-tested, validated interview schedule was used to acquire the information needed to study the attitude on marital adjustment.

A sample of 100 farm women was selected using Simple Random Sampling technique. The survey research design was used for data collection. Data were also collected through interview schedule. Data were analyzed using quantitative approaches. Results show that the information needs of farm women are mostly occupation driven. Farm women were found to have a need for information about dairy farming as also for home management. Most of the farm women depend on the friends, husband, neighbors and other native sources like local leaders and educated people for their information needs. Thus, their primary and most important sources of information are friends, husband, neighbors and other native sources.

The present study entitled “An Economic Analysis of Production of onion in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana” was conducted in year 2019-2020. The study made use of a multi stage sampling and random sampling technique to select 90 farmers among the selected villages. Data for the selected study were collected with the aid of well-structured questionnaires . Data collected were analyzed using tabulation method along wit required statistical tool. The Production of onion has increased in the area largely due to productivity increase and increase in the area under crop. Resource use structure in onion was found to be varied among the size groups. The per cost of cultivation was varied among the size groups of onion was highest on small size(Rs.63718.2/hac) and lowest on large size(Rs.61250.0/hac) and medium (Rs.62842.0/hac). The input output ratio is highest on large size farms and lowest on small size farms

The study aimed at identifying the problems faced by Graduate Teachers who recruited without indicating their subject category in the Tamil medium schools in Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Using a simple random sampling technique, a total number of 13 teachers which consisted of 8 male teachers and 5 female teachers from the population of graduate teachers in the educational division of Koralai Pattu West in eastern province in Sri Lanka, was selected for the study. The study was employed qualitative approach and a semi structured interview schedule was used to collect data. Collected data was analyzed using a thematic technique. Based on the analysis of the data, it was found that many teachers were not satisfied with their teaching and faced problems in terms of administrative, emotional and teaching subjects in the schools. Therefore, it was recommended to recruit graduate teachers with mentioning their teaching subject category in order to make them satisfaction in their teaching.

The study investigated the role of skills acquisition in resolving the social problems of unemployment in Rivers State. The population of the study consists of all skills acquisition graduates of Rivers State ministry of women affairs, a sample of 50 skills acquisition graduates in the ministry was sampled using stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire was structured in the likert scale of four (4) points, ranging from strongly agreed to strongly disagreed. The simple percentage statistical tool was employed for data analysis. The result of the findings showed that majority of the people had a positive opinion towards skills acquisition and it was recommended that government should carry out proper sensitization programmes in order to re-orientate the minds of the youths towards skills acquisition programmes.
