This article deals with the issue of self-preservation of elderly people when learning to work on a computer from the point of view of information and psychological security. The necessity of solving new socio-psychological problems is indicated: to develop the ability to give a correct assessment of a specific information threat, to prevent the negative impact of the information environment, to resist negative factors, and to contribute to improving the quality of life. The purpose of counseling elderly people is to develop their ability to understand the problem of the negative impact of the information environment on psychological and physiological health, to be able to apply methods to ensure information and psychological security. Consulting and educational work with the elderly and employees of social institutions engaged in professional activities directly related to the above category should be aimed at preventing cases of fraudulent activities. Consulting work with them should not only meet the general principles of building psychological contact, but also cause an understanding of the importance of compliance with security in the digital sphere. Elderly people develop the ability to assess correctly a specific information threat and prevent the negative impact of the information environment by providing adequate resistance to negative factors and contributing to improving their quality of life. It is increasingly difficult for older people to navigate threats, unmotivated anxiety increases, depressiveness appears and becomes fixed, and asocial personality traits are formed. At the present time, it is necessary to consider the formation of information and computer literacy as a mechanism to counteract the negative impact of the information environment and a necessary condition for developing an effective strategy for the social adaptation of elderly people.

PURPOSE: To compare the speech and voice of Parkinson's disease (PD) patients and neurologically healthy elderly adults (control group, CG), to find out whether these features are related to the disease or the normal aging process, and investigate the impact that dysarthria has on the Quality of Life (QoL) of these individuals. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional study involving 25 individuals, 13 patients with PD and 12 CG. All the participants underwent vocal assessment, perceptual and acoustic analysis, based on "Dysarthria Assessment Protocol" and analysis of QoL using a questionnaire, "Living with Dysarthria". The data underwent statistical analysis to compare the groups in each parameter. RESULTS: In the assessment of dysarthria, patients with PD showed differences in prosody parameter (p=0.012), at the habitual frequency for females (p=0.025) and males (p=0.028), and the extent of intensity (p=0.039) when compared to CG. In QoL questionnaire, it was observed that patients with PD showed more negative impact on the QoL compared to CG, as indicated by the total score (p=0.005) with various aspects influencing this result. CONCLUSION: The degree of modification of speech and voice of patients with PD resembles those seen in normal aging process, with the exception of prosody and the habitual frequency, which are related to the greatest negative impact on the QoL of patients with PD.

Objective: To identify the sociodemographic profile and to compare the quality of life of elderly people who practice physical exercises in a group with sedentary elderly. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, composed of two groups: Group I consisted of 50 elderly people practicing physical exercise in a group; and Group II composed of 50 sedentary elderlies. Data were collected through two questionnaires; one questionnaire focused on the sociodemographic data survey and the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire. The data were analyzed by the BioEstat 5.0 program using the Z-Test. Results: Group I had better scores in the domains, limitations due to physical aspects and general health, in the other domains, group II had better scores. Factor that can be attributed to the modality of the physical exercise performed by group I that was in the group I and by the form of the allocation of the sample. Conclusion: The women were mostly in group I, and both groups were comprised of seniors over 61 years old, widowers and retirees. Statistically, only the general state of health showed a significant difference between the two groups.

Kata kunci: wanita lansia, kualitas hidup, musik angklung  ABSTRACTThe enhancement of current health level and life expectancy provide implications to the number of elderly people in Indonesia. Abstract Introduction: The literature presents different findings about the vibration training efficacy on muscle per- formance, even using protocols with similar parameters. Objective: The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the effects of whole body vibration (WBV) on strength and quality of life in health elderly people, presenting a meta-analisys. Methods: PubMed, CINAHL, SciELO, LILACS and PEDro databases were systematically searched for studies that used WBV in healthy elderly. These searches were supplemented with material identified in references and a qualitative and quantitative analysis was performed to sum- marize the findings. The search was performed by two independent researchers with a third was selected to solve problems of search disagreement, data collection, and quality score. Results: Nine studies with strength outcome and two studies with quality of life outcome were identified, with sample ranging 21 to 220 elderly, all studies had control groups performing exercises or guidelines. Some studies have shown sig- nificant improvements in muscle strength, muscle power, vertical jump height, timed get up and go test and quality of life. Conclusion: The meta-analysis of the findings in these studies shows that WBV could benefit health elderly, increasing muscle strength and improving the quality of life mainly in functional capacity. The number of publications found in the databanks searched is small, with limitations in design of protocols with a weakness to the interpretation of the findings, suggesting the need of investigation with WBV with well-designed protocols and controlled parameters into the effects of WBV training in elderly people.
