The next challenge of game AI lies in Real Time Strategy (RTS) games. RTS games provide partially observable gaming environments, where agents interact with one another in an action space much larger than that of GO. Mastering RTS games requires both strong macro strategies and delicate micro level execution. Recently, great progress has been made in micro level execution, while complete solutions for macro strategies are still lacking. In this paper, we propose a novel learning-based Hierarchical Macro Strategy model for mastering MOBA games, a sub-genre of RTS games. Trained by the Hierarchical Macro Strategy model, agents explicitly make macro strategy decisions and further guide their micro level execution. Moreover, each of the agents makes independent strategy decisions, while simultaneously communicating with the allies through leveraging a novel imitated crossagent communication mechanism. We perform comprehensive evaluations on a popular 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game. Our 5-AI team achieves a 48% winning rate against human player teams which are ranked top 1% in the player ranking system.

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous tumor characterized by early recurrence, high invasion, and poor prognosis. Currently, its treatment includes chemotherapy, which shows a suboptimal efficacy. However, with the increasing studies on TNBC subtypes and tumor molecular biology, great progress has been made in targeted therapy for TNBC. The new developments in the treatment of breast cancer include targeted therapy, which has the advantages of accurate positioning, high efficiency, and low toxicity, as compared to surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Given its importance as cancer treatment, we review the latest research on the subtypes of TNBC and relevant targeted therapies.

AbstractOrganophosphines are an important class of ligands widely used in organic chemistry. Although great progress has recently been made in the rapid construction of new phosphines through Rh- or Ru-catalyzed C–H bond functionalizations, synthetic access to more diverse phosphines remains a challenge. We describe an efficient process for the rhodium-catalyzed phosphorus(III)-directed hydroarylation of internal alkynes to generate various alkenylated and 2′,6′-dialkenylated biarylphosphines with high selectivity. A range of diverse alkynes and phosphines were effectively prepared with broad functional-group compatibility under the optimized conditions. In addition, the developed protocol can be extended to modify chiral phosphine ligands, providing enantioenriched alkenylated phosphines without erosion of the enantiomeric excess.

While great progress has been made in regards to sexual violence and accountability, Martha C. Nussbaum argues that the culture of celebrity remains a significant hurdle. In this chapter, Nussbaum traces the historical evolution and progress of the law and social norms concerning sexual violence. Identifying the obstacles and complexities that have faced those fighting for justice, she shows how working women, feminist lawyers, and recently the #MeToo movement have pushed forward the frontier of accountability. While history provides reason for hope, a recalcitrant problem remains: lack of accountability for celebrities and sports stars. Given the big money and structures of power behind the culture of celebrity, Nussbaum argues that the public must rise up and express outrage in order to bring about change.

The 12 μm emission lines were unexpectedly detected about a decade ago. Great progress has been made in understanding the atomic physics underlying these high-l Rydberg transitions in Mg I and other atoms. In a magnetic field, their Landé g factor is shown to be unity. At disk center, the shift of the absorption trough relative to the emission peak is demonstrated to be due to the quadratic Stark Effect, permitting measurement of the photospheric electric field strengths. Other related lines of Mg I require accurate atomic fine structure data to interpret properly their complex line profiles. Related lines are found in the ATMOS spectra for C I, Na I, Al I, Si I, Ca I, and Fe I, in addition to H I.

The past two decades have seen great progress in recognizing the importance of inflammation in medicine. Increased focus on inflammation in both prevention and treatment has improved outcomes and quality of life in chronic diseases. Science has improved our understanding of inflammation’s many causes and effects on health, and many advances have been made in the availability of targeted therapeutic options for treating inflammation. This chapter gives an overview of recognizing the many causes of inflammation, its many targeted treatments strategies, and the questions that still surround it. It discusses several integrative approaches to reducing inflammation, including exercise, diet, and different strategies for managing sleep, mood, and stress, such as meditation and massage.

Abstract Lung cancer is one of the most leading causes of death throughout the world, and there is an urgent requirement for the precision medical management of it. Artificial intelligence (AI) consisting of numerous advanced techniques has been widely applied in the field of medical care. Meanwhile, radiomics based on traditional machine learning also does a great job in mining information through medical images. With the integration of AI and radiomics, great progress has been made in the early diagnosis, specific characterization, and prognosis of lung cancer, which has aroused attention all over the world. In this study, we give a brief review of the current application of AI and radiomics for precision medical management in lung cancer.

Immune-enhanced natural medicines have gradually formed unique functions and usages through long-term medical practice, which contained rich immunological ideas and contents. The immune-enhancing natural medicine has a wide range of pharmacological effects in anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-viral, and immunity enhancement. In recent years, great progress has been made in the study of immune-enhanced natural drugs. In this article, the main active ingredients of some natural drugs with immune-enhancing function are reviewed, which can enhance immunity by regulating the level of some cytokines and affecting the function of non-specific immunity and specific immunity. The experimental research provides the basis and prospects for the research and development of immune-enhanced natural drugs in the future, providing new ideas for immunotherapy.

The connections between Lamartine’s collection of poetry Harmonies poétiques et religieuses and the piano cycle with the same title by Liszt are very complex — sometimes even enigmatic. However, because of the great progress made in recent years regarding the genesis of Liszt’s cycle spanning over twenty years it is now possible to provide some clarification on the influences exerted by Lamartine’s poems on the corresponding pieces by Liszt. Each piece of Liszt’s three successive piano cycles is examined in terms of the influence due to Lamartine’s collection.

In recent years, great progress has been made in hypernuclear physics through new experimental techniques as well as theoretical development. Precision γ-ray spectroscopy of hypernuclei has revealed fine structure of various light Λ hypernuclei. Introduction of the (π-, K+) reaction has opened a possibility of studying neutron-rich Λ hypernuclei. The J-PARC facility will allow us to accelerate these experimental studies of Λ hypernuclei and extend hypernuclear physics to double strangess nuclear systems.

In recent decades, the Eurasian Middle–Upper Palaeolithic (M–UP) transition has been a topic of major interest among palaeoanthropologists. Great progress has been made in several domains, particularly palaeogenetics, which have revealed the complex ancestry of early Eurasians. This progress—including the identification of a ghost lineage of Eurasians in the Middle East—is providing important new biogeographical hypotheses. A key region for such topics is the Iranian Plateau—an area that has so far not been subject to intensive research.
