In the paper, one develops a set of models for diagnosing threats to the economic security of a commercial bank, which allows improving the quality of decisions forming and making on managing the safe functioning and development of the bank. The bank's economic security research system has been developed, it includes 3 main blocks: research information space creation; assessment and analysis of the security of a commercial bank; generalization, and formation of decisions on the economic security of a commercial bank. The research made it possible to draw an inference of a theoretical, methodological, and applied nature that reflects the solution of the tasks set following the purpose of the study. A set of models has been built with modern tools of economic and mathematical modelling to improve the quality of decisions made to manage the bank's security and reduce the risks of threats. A model for calculating the bank's economic security indicator has been developed, which includes the following main stages: the construction of a structural scheme taking into account the rules of the theory of banking functioning security, then the terms and their membership functions are set for each input and output variable of the fuzzy inference system under consideration. Results of the response surface for the model are shown in the figure on the graphs of the dependence of the bank's economic security indicator on various input components. The paper requires that it is convenient to diagnose the state of economic security of a bank using fuzzy logic, this allows getting a clear quantitative representation of economic security state of the bank, as the indicators used for diagnostics may be indistinct and approximate and this a priori cannot give an adequate result when accurately calculated.

In the context of the transformation of the national economy of the Russian Federation, the business environment has changed dramatically. Forms and methods of state regulation have also undergone significant changes due to the formation of a powerful non-state sector. In modern conditions, enterprises of non-state ownership independently make management decisions related to various aspects of their activities, and are fully responsible for their results. In addition, in a market economy, the external environment, which is characterized by high uncertainty and dynamism, has become a factor that determines the activity of an enterprise. Changes in business conditions contributed to the emergence of new problems in the company’s activities that require theoretical study and development of practical recommendations for their solution. This includes the problem of ensuring the economic security of an enterprise, which has been studied relatively recently in the Russian scientific literature. Ensuring the economic security of an enterprise involves analyzing its criteria and evaluating its level. One of criteria for economic security of an enterprise is its profitability as a source of this type of security. The article analyzes the profitability of five domestic business entities and presents conclusions about the actual finding of a profitable enterprise in a state of economic security by comparing the value of its profit with the minimum profit required for simple reproduction. The results of this analysis serve as the basis for further assessment of the level of economic security of the enterprise, which, in turn, is the information base for making management decisions to ensure its economic security.

Nowadays, the concept of security has a much broader range of meaning than in the past, mainly associated with dynamic social, technical, military, and political development. This article aims to present the forecasting process in the region in the “Multifactorial model of socio-economic security” (research project No. 108/WZA/61DzS conducted as part of statutory research at MULF). The paper presents the process and results of forecasting socio-economic security in the region on the example of Lower Silesia counties. In the first part of the paper, the choice of the topic was justified, and the methodological assumptions were presented. Then, the forecasts of socio-economic security for the studied region in the form of a table and maps were presented.

Issues of national security are of particular scientific interest because without it. It is impossible to imagine the existence of any state. Protecting the economic and social interests of the population has long been one of the prerogatives of public policy, which has expanded to information security of the people in the face of rapid digitalization of all spheres of life and the introduction of information attack as a new form of weapon. In this context, it is essential to conduct a thorough study of primary scientific papers on economic, social and information security. In this work, it is proposed to use quantitative and qualitative bibliometric analysis methods, which allows to identify the main trends and form a basis for further research. The information basis for this work was the international scientometric database Scopus and SciVal by Elsevier, which allows you to analyze bibliographic data using built-in tools and import them for external use in the software VOSviewer. Bibliographic information is presented from the 1930s to June 2021. The results show that in the world, the most researched is the topic of first, social, second, information, and third, economic security. At the same time, these studies are interdisciplinary, mainly at the intersection of economic and social sciences and information security at the intersection of economic and mathematical, computer sciences. The analysis of time trends changes the number of scientific papers on economic, social and information security in Scopus database shows their gradual growth. In contrast, information security has the fastest growth rate. The study of geographical trends shows that economic security research occurs mainly in the United States, the Russian Federation and Ukraine (the funding of research confirms this at the expense of the relevant ministries and foundations). Social security is mostly studied in English-speaking and European countries (United States, United Kingdom, Germany). Information security research is concentrated in English-speaking (United States, United Kingdom) and China, India. The qualitative bibliographic analysis allowed to analyze the most cited, and hence the trend works on selected topics, confirming the multidisciplinary nature of the work. In addition, a cluster analysis of co-occurrence of keywords was coducted, which formed clusters devoted to social, economic, socio-psychological, legal and other issues.

Purpose – The article is aimed at evaluation of the patterns of demographic processes development in terms of their impact on shaping the level of countries’ economic security. Research methodology – The study is based on a multidimensional estimation technique, which proposes the development of an integral indicator of the demographic component of countries’ economic security. Stochastic research methods, in particular the t-test method, were used to identify and justify different hazard zones. Findings – On the basis of the formed sample of the countries, the integral indices of the level of the demographic component of countries’ economic security for the period of 2000–2018 were calculated. The thresholds of demographic security indicators were identified and reasoned; the countries’ security risks by demographic indicators were assessed; systematisation of countries according to the level of the demographic component of security was provided. Research limitations – It is proposed to include ten indicators in the structure of the index of the demographic component of economic security; these indicators characterise different aspects of the demographic processes development. However, this is not a complete list of possible valuation indicators. This determines the necessity of further studies in terms of justifying the advisability of including various parameters and assessing the degree of their importance in the structure of the demographic security index. Practical implications – The practical value of the results of the comprehensive analysis of the demographic processes development in the system of ensuring countries’ economic security is the possibility of identifying real or potential threats to the sustainable social and economic development of countries and regions of the world. Originality/Value – The authors’ improved methodology for assessing the level of economic security based on the demographic component consideration, taking into account the system of proposed indices, allows to assess the level of security, to monitor its changes and to identify factors that pose risks not only for one country but also for groups of countries both in regional dimension and in terms of the level of their development.
