Abstract:LUSCOFUSCO, A PLACE TO FEEL.Luscofusco is a children’s daycare that offers an alternative to the traditional school for children 2 to 6 years old. We began our adventure in Oza, a small village in the province of A Coruña, restoring an old rural school which had been closed years ago. Inspired by philosophies as Montessori, Pestalozzi, Malaguzzi our goal is to recover the essence of the old rural schools, and at the same time energize the area in which we are located. We are a new concept of preschool in which our role is to guide children as they develope cognitive, motor, emotional, affective, inter and intrapersonal skills through play, coexistence and experience. All this, in a carefully prepared family atmosphere situated in a natural environment. We base our work on respect for kids, their interests and their motivation to turn them into the protagonists of their learning. We assume a role of mediators in this process, use a non-directive approach and offer individual attention. Keywords: Free School, an alternative school, non-directive pedagogy, natural environmentResumen:Luscofusco es un espacio infantil que ofrece una alternativa al sistema educativo tradicional a niños y niñas de 2 a 6 años. This article presents data on the impacts and changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on librarianship within the context of rural school libraries. We understand the work in libraries as a special activity that is only valued if contextualized. Thus, we question the role of the library and the librarian practices in the current pandemic scenario with the purpose of updating the debate on librarianship in rural schools. To this end, we conducted a bibliographic and exploratory field research mediated by the application of a questionnaire. We conclude by highlighting the precarious situation that prevents actions and activities to encourage reading and the dissemination of pedagogical resources to support school and school-community libraries.

In the process of new-type urbanization development, the gradual discard and ignorance of rural cultural characteristics within rural education eventually led to the loss of cultural value of rural schools. Meanwhile, rural schools play the critical role of carrying out the cultural transmission and innovative development, therefore, the reconstruction of the school value also contributing to the realization of cultural value, including the aspects such as the rejuvenation of social education function, the cultivation of cultural perceivers, and the inheritance of outstanding culture. On the basis of rationality carefully examined the meaning of rural school cultural value, it is suggested to revoke the consciousness of rural school culture, enhancing the sense of belonging of rural teachers, and the construction of rural-school cultural community, so as to promote the reconstruction of rural school cultural value.

Proper irrigation management is critical to conserve and protect water resources and to properly manage nutrients in the home landscape. How lawns and landscapes are irrigated directly impacts the natural environment, so landscape maintenance professionals and homeowners must adopt environmentally-friendly approaches to irrigation management. After selecting the right plant for the right place, water is the next critical factor to establish and maintain a healthy lawn and landscape. Fertilization is another important component of lawn and landscape maintenance, and irrigation must be applied correctly, especially following fertilization, to minimize potential nutrient losses. This publication supplements other UF/IFAS Extension publications that also include information on the role of soil and the root zone in irrigation management. This publication is designed to help UF/IFAS Extension county agents prepare materials to directly address nutrient losses from lawns and landscapes caused by inadequate irrigation management practices. Natural scientists have proposed that humankind has entered a new geologic epoch. Termed the “Anthropocene,” this new reality revolves around the central role of human activity in multiple Earth ecosystems. That challenge requires a rethinking of social science explanations of organization and environment relationships. In this article, we discuss the need to politicize institutional theory as a means understanding “Anthropocene Society,” and in turn what that resultant society means for the Anthropocene in the natural environment. We modify the constitutive elements of institutional orders and a set of main change mechanisms to explore three scenarios around which future Anthropocene Societies might be built—Collapsing Systems, Market Rules, and Cultural Re-Enlightenment. Simultaneously, we use observations from the Anthropocene to expose limitations in present institutional theory and propose extensions to remedy them. Overall, this article challenges organizational scholars to consider a new paradigm under which research in environmental sustainability and social sustainability takes place.

In our previous study, we showed that the defense responses induced by the selective optogenetic activation of the uncrossed output pathway from the deeper layer of the superior colliculus were environment dependent in the mouse. In a small closed box, the stimulus frequently induced flight (fast forward run away) responses, while in a large open field, the stimulus tended to induce backward retreat responses. We tested a hypothesis that the amygdala is involved in such environment dependency of the innate defense responses. For this purpose, we made a bilateral lesion of the amygdala induced by the ibotenic acid injections in male mice. As a result, in the mice with lesions of substantial portions of the basolateral and basomedial complex, the flight responses in the closed box disappeared and retreat responses were mainly induced. The retreat responses on the open platform were unchanged. Classically, the amygdala has been considered to be involved in the memory-dependent contextual modulation of the fear responses. In contrast, the present results suggest a novel view on the role of the amygdala in which the amygdala plays a key role in sensing the current environmental setting for making a quick decision of action upon emergency, which is critical for survival in the natural environment.

The aim of the study was to The role of the school in developing the moral values of students from the teachers perspective of the Kasbah Al-Mafraq schools, To achieve this study, the descriptive approach was used, where a questionnaire was developed, consisting of three areas(School administration, educational guide, activities and celebrations) with (23) paragraphs, and its validity and stability was verified, and then it was distributed on the sample of the study which was consisted of (150) teachers in the schools of Kasabat Al Mafraq.
