The importance of studying developmental dynamics of global aircraft pool is unquestionable: this knowledge allows a substantive analysis of the history of development of aircraft engineering. At the same time, introducing for consideration some a priori notions such as e. g. “aircraft generations” allows to more fully demonstrate an interrelated development (co-evolution) of aircrafts and social institutions. This article considers as an example of co-evolution the opposition between jet fighter parks of the Warsaw Pact countries and NATO in 1954–1989. The dynamics of the development of jet fighter parks are examined and the causes of some of its characteristics are explained. Thus, it is shown that the Cold War as an opposition of two political and military alliances has been spurring the quantitative and qualitative development of fighter aircrafts. The end of the Cold War was one of the factors that slowed down the development of fighters. The results of this works clearly demonstrate that the development of aircrafts is inseparable from global social processes.

The review article systematizes information and studies the  history of designing tractors and prime-movers at the State Enterprise «Kharkiv Design Bureau for Mechanical Engineering named after A. A. Morozov» and their manufacture by the State Enterprise «Malyshev Plant » from the origin of such production in Kharkiv to the present time. The role of Kharkiv in providing the country with special equipment is revealed. Detailed biographical information about chief designers of this technique (B. N. Voronkov, N. G. Zubarev, M. N. Shchukin, A. I. Avtomonov, M. D. Borisyuk, A. D. Motrich, M. P. Kalugin, P. I. Sagir, B. I. Kalchenko) provided, their role in the development and improvement of designs of special-purpose machines is indicated. The main technical characteristics of basic models of tractors and prime-movers are presented. The main problems in the production of these types of equipment are mentioned. The article contains information about various modifications of AT-T, their main differences and purposes are indicated. Keywords: tractor, prime-mover, SE «Kharkiv Design Bureau of Engineering Named after A. A. Morozov», SE «Malyshev Plant», National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»

For each product's needs, there are good packaging solutions. Though packages are often taken for granted, they are the result of many years of innovation -- in some cases accidental. A brief review of the more popular packaging developments are included in this fact sheet. This document is ABE321, one of a series of the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department, Florida Cooperative Extension Service, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, University of Florida. This article presents the results of a musealization project at the Computer Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Oporto (FEUP), which aimed to bring together the history of computing in the academic context of the city, between the sixties of the twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty-first century. This research was rooted in the subjective and naturally fallible memory (Pollack, 1992) of the key people interviewed who, through their testimony, described the impact of technological transformations on their professional and personal experience. During the investigation, we did not try to find the history of the great moments and their "heroes", but rather the small, fragmented and diverse narratives of key persons. Our aim was thus to create a narrative rich in the deviations, flaws, and imperfections that distinguish Man from Machine. We accumulated stories (Kopytoff, 1988) through objects that we used as memory triggers (Simon, 2010) to set a social history of computing in Oporto. Upon realizing that we were also interested in capturing the “procedural memory” the participants then began to enthusiastically describe striking moments, mimicking the sound of machines and identifying friends and colleagues in documents and photographs. However, the most recurrent was the access to “episodic” and “historical” memory (David Manier and William Hirst 2010). We may say that this is a male-written story annotated by women. The immaterial heritage that this project recorded in the form of interviews supports and attributes values to the material heritage (objects, machines, utensils, books and documents) existing at FEUP museum, and attests to the plurality of its contexts of use and agents.

A retrospective analysis of the history of the application of the method of radiography in the course of studies of the structure of seeds for the purposes of seed production and seed studies was carried out. It is shown that the beginning of X-ray studies of seeds is directly related to the development in the late 70s of the last century in the Special Design Bureau for X-ray Instruments, Leningrad Association of Electronic Instrumentation “Svetlana” of a specialized X-ray apparatus based on the X-ray emitter REIS with a voltage of 25 kV. The methodological part of the research was provided by the leading specialized enterprises of our country, now they are FSBSI API, FSBI Research Institute for Storage Problems of the Federal Reserve FSBSI FSVC. In the early 2000s, ETU “LETI”, represented by a small enterprise of the Technopark LETI, CJSC “ELTECH-Med”, actively joined the research. LETI is associated with the transition to digital receivers of X-ray images, which made it possible to fundamentally increase the efficiency of research by employees of CJSC “ELTECH-Med” together with specialists from Agrophysical Research Institute, FSBI Research Institute for Storage Problems of the Federal Reserve, FSBSI FSVC developed a number of technical means for obtaining digital 2 and 3 dimensional X-ray images of seeds.

The article reviews the contribution of Ukrainian enterprises to the development of the rocket and space industry. The most important part of a space or combat ballistic missile is the control system (CS), on which the success of its application depends. Kharkov (Kharkiv) enterprises – the “Kommunar” plant and the Design Bureau “Electropriborostroenia” (SDB-692, now the RPA “Khartron”) were the largest manufacturers of control systems not only in Ukraine but throughout the Soviet Union. These systems were not only produced serially but also developed at these enterprises. The formation and development of Kharkov enterprises of the space industry is the most important page in the history of the development of not only cosmonautics but also science and technology. Despite the large number of works devoted to the development of rocket and space technology in Ukraine, the history of the development and production of control systems has not been sufficiently studied. Due to the secrecy of work in the field of rocket and space technology (RST), there are very few sources for studying the history of its creation. Therefore, the most important part of the work was interviewing the leading experts of SDB-692 in the field of the rocket and spacecraft control systems, which included A. M. Kalnoguz, Yu. A. Kuznetsov, V. Ya. Makarenko, V. G. Sukhorebrov and V. A. Uralov. Based on these interviews, a special fund was created in the Central State Scientific and Technical Archive of Ukraine. Control systems for many combat ballistic missiles, including P-7, P-7A, P-12, P-16, as well as the most powerful missile in the world P-36M2, which was named in the USA “Satana” (SS-18 “Satan”), “Proton”, “Zenith”, “Energia”, and “Cyclone” launch vehicles, “Kvant”, “Kvant-2”, “Crystal”, “Priroda”, “Spectrum” orbital modules, more than 150 satellites of the “Cosmos” series, and other objects were developed and serially produced at Kharkov enterprises. In the 1970s, SDB-692 created the USSR’s first onboard digital electronic computer. On its basis, a test and launch complex “Electronic launch” was developed, designed for pre-launch testing of control systems for ballistic missiles and launch vehicles.
