Life Cycle Cost of Construction engineering project management is a combination of modern management theory—system theory, cybernetics and information theory combined with the construction project. In this paper, a model of substation life cycle cost is built comprehensively, by making a model for the cost estimating of substation design and construction cost. Meanwhile, the operation loss, operation maintenance cost are analyzed and calculated, the estimate of the retirement costs is carried on. On these basics, analyzes the relationship between the cost, then the numerical example is given ultimately. Eventually, optimal reliability and economical efficiency is achieved.

Abstract The concept of digitalization of railway transport and the introduction of digital technologies provides for the creation of a “Digital Railway” based on a “Digital Twin”, including a “Digital Twin” of a car, which implements a number of information and organizational measures aimed at assessing the current technical condition of a real car during its operation; reducing the cost of the life cycle of the car; increasing the reliability of assemblies and parts (increasing the overhaul life); reduced maintenance costs; creation of a service maintenance system for freight cars throughout the life cycle. However, the wear of vibration damper parts is the most important parameter that determines the turnaround time, the volume of repairs and the dynamic qualities of the car, which requires more detailed and reliable scientific substantiation. The assessment of the wear of vibration damper parts (friction bar, friction wedge, bolster) is carried out in two ways - by direct examination of them in operation (in this case, wear is estimated by changing the linear dimensions, i.e., in mm over the service life) and according to the results of bench tests of models of vibration damper or testing samples on friction machines (in this case, wear is estimated by the mass of the worn-out material). The proposed method for predicting the wear of parts of frictional vibration dampers implements the Archard friction model, takes into account the variability of loads acting on the working surfaces, for which a method for determining the friction path under various driving conditions has been developed. The developed methodology makes it possible to evaluate their service interval at the design stage of the car’s running gears.

Maintainability is one of the considerations designers take into account in the design stage of building construction projects. In other words, maintainability is a design consideration that may improve ease of maintenance during operation. The designer is expected to include maintenance knowledge and experience into the design, including planning for specific tools to facilitate implementation. Maintainability issues appear during the occupancy stage and have a direct impact on the cost of owning and operating a facility. Annual operation and maintenance expenses during the life cycle of a building could amount to many times the initial construction cost. Design deficiencies constitute one of the main reasons for high annual maintenance cost. Facility management involves activities to maintain and operate a constructed facility. It is essential to evaluate facility managers’ perspective on how maintainability characteristics should be considered at design phase of facilities. A survey of 168 facility managers in the mid-west region of the US is uncovered that (1) maintainability should be top priority in design, especially for mechanical systems, (2) deferred maintenance should be avoided because it increases costs over the life-cycle of buildings, and (3) constructed facilities should be handed over with a maintenance schedule provided by the designer. Paying special attention to maintainability in the design phase is expected to help reducing the cost of operation.

Analysis of the life cycle cost of a design process that is important in controlling the initial costs and future costs in possession of an investment project. Therefore, there should be a life cycle cost analysis study to determine the cost of any category contained in the hostel building project in the area of Islamic Hospital jimbunmedika Kediri and also see how much the total cost incurred by a development project in the area of hospital hostel Islam jimbunmedika Kediri ranging from the design stage to the technical life of hostels set .The purpose of this study is, identify the service life of the building material components hostels on Hospital Grounds JimbunMedika Kediri, and make long-term plans of the building life cycle cost hostels in the area Jimbun Medika Kediri Hospital. From the results of the research, there are three groups that make up the life cycle cost is the cost of building, operating costs, and the cost of maintenance and replacement. For a long-term plan the life cycle cost of the costs and the percentage obtained as follows, development cost Rp.4.290.000.000 (46%), operational costs Rp. 3.799.333.250 (28%), maintenance and replacement costs Rp. 2.590.900.000 (26%).


Improving the efficiency of life cycle management of capital construction projects using information modeling technologies is one of the important tasks of the construction industry. The paper presents an analysis of accumulated domestic practices, including the legal and regulatory framework, assessing the effectiveness of managing the implementation of investment construction projects and of complex and serial capital construction projects, as well as the life cycle management of especially dangerous technically complex and unique capital construction projects using information modeling technologies, especially capital construction projects, as well as their supporting and using systems, primarily in the nuclear and transport sectors. A review of modern approaches to assessing the effectiveness of life cycle management systems of complex engineering systems in relation to capital construction projects is carried out. The presented material will make it possible to formulate the basic principles and prospects of applying approaches to assessing the effectiveness of the life cycle management system of a capital construction project using information modeling technologies.


The article focuses on the problem of the lack of objective evaluation of space-planning arrangement of buildings as a creative approach of the architect to the performing of functional tasks by the object. It is proposed to create a methodology for assessing the functional of space-planning solutions of buildings on the basis of numerical simulation of functional processes using the theory of human flows. There is a description of the prospects of using this method, which makes it possible to increase the coefficient of compactness, materials and works saving, more efficient use of space, reduce the cost of the life cycle of the building, save human forces and time to implement the functional of the building. The necessary initial data for modeling on the example of shopping and shopping-entertainment centers are considered. There are three main tasks for algorithmization of the functional of shopping centers. The conclusion is made about necessity of development of a method for objective assessment of buildings from the point of view of ergonomics of space-planning decisions based on the study of human behavior in buildings of different purposes.

The main problems that arise in construction organizations are indicated. The analysis of the choice of the perfect methodology of mathematical modeling of the investigated business process for improving the activity of budget calculations, conducting quality assessment of estimates and criteria for automation of design estimates is performed.

The second part of the translation has three segments. The Berlin manuscript gives generous details of the officials of the English East India Company, both native and foreign, their professions, and work spaces. Mirza Sangin Beg addresses the issue of qaum most unselfconsciously and amorphously.

AbstractDe-manufacturing and re-manufacturing are fundamental technical solutions to efficiently recover value from post-use products. Disassembly in one of the most complex activities in de-manufacturing because i) the more manual it is the higher is its cost, ii) disassembly times are variable due to uncertainty of conditions of products reaching their EoL, and iii) because it is necessary to know which components to disassemble to balance the cost of disassembly. The paper proposes a methodology that finds ways of applications: it can be applied at the design stage to detect space for product design improvements, and it also represents a baseline from organizations approaching de-manufacturing for the first time. The methodology consists of four main steps, in which firstly targets components are identified, according to their environmental impact; secondly their disassembly sequence is qualitatively evaluated, and successively it is quantitatively determined via disassembly times, predicting also the status of the component at their End of Life. The aim of the methodology is reached at the fourth phase when alternative, eco-friendlier End of Life strategies are proposed, verified, and chosen.

The 2030 climate and energy framework includes EU-wide targets and policy objectives for the period 2021–2030 of (1) at least 55% cuts in greenhouse gas emissions (from 1990 levels); (2) at least 32% share for renewable energy; and (3) at least 32.5% improvement in energy efficiency. In this context, the methodology of the cost-optimal level from the life-cycle cost approach has been applied to calculate the cost of renovating the existing building stock in Europe. The aim of this research is to analyze a pilot building using the cost-optimal methodology to determine the renovation measures that lead to the lowest life-cycle cost during the estimated economic life of the building. The case under study is an apartment building located in a mild Mediterranean climate (Castellon, SP). A package of 12 optimal solutions has been obtained to show the importance of the choice of the elements and systems for renovating building envelopes and how energy and economic aspects influence this choice. Simulations have shown that these packages of optimal solutions (different configurations for the building envelope, thermal bridges, airtightness and ventilation, and domestic hot water production systems) can provide savings in the primary energy consumption of up to 60%.
