This study aimed to find out the significant effect of Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model, student's academic ability, and the interaction between learning models and academic ability of the students’ argumentation skills. The population was all students of class VIII MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. The Samples were students of class VIII A and VIII B selected from the population by random cluster sampling technique. This study was quasi-experimental with Pretest Post-test Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used was argumentation skills test on the material motion systems in humans. The data were statistically analyzed using Ankova test and test Significant Difference (LSD) respectively at 5% significance level. The results showed that the learning ADI model, academic ability, and the interaction between the ADI model and academic abilities significantly influenced argumentation skills with significant value of each were 0,000; 0.007; and 0.038.

This research aims at developing Speaking Skill through Interview. Its method was quasi-experimental research non-equivalent control group design. Its population was the students of grade VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Palu, in which consists of thirteen parallel classes. The experimental class consists of 29 students and control class consists of 30 students. It was done in eight meetings. The variables of this research were speaking skill and interview. The samples of this research were students of grade VIII C and VIII D, selected through cluster sampling technique. Its results indicate that the application of interview has overcome the students’ problem. After analyzing them, the result of t-counted was 10.01. By applying degree of freedom (df) 57(29+30-2), and the level significant 0.05, the value of t-table was 2.00. So,  the value of t-counted was higher than t-table. It means that the hypothesis of this research was accepted. Thus, the interview can be applied to develop speaking skill of students grade VIII  at  SMP Negeri 1 Palu.

The research aimed to find out the effectiveness of describing and drawing picture technique in teaching transactional speaking at the second semester students of English Education Department at State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar. This research employed quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design with pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the second semester students of English education department at State Islamic University of Alauddin Makassar. The population was selected by using purposive sampling technique to determine the sample for experimental class and control class. The instrument used in this research was test. The test was used in the pre-test and post-test. The data indicated that there was a significant difference between the students’ post-test in the experimental class and post-test in the control class. Based on the findings of the research, the researchers concluded that describing and drawing picture technique was effective in teaching transactional speaking. The research aims to determine the effectiveness of theistic spiritual counseling services in order to increase student adversity intelligence. Research objectives that refer to the results of the study were obtained by knowing the effect of theistic spiritual counseling services compared to conventional counseling approaches. The influence of theistic spiritual counseling services is known by the difference in adversity intelligence in comparison with the provision of conventional counseling services.The study was conducted at the Sriwijaya Buddhist State University located at Jalan Edutown, Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) City, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province. The study was conducted for 6 months, starting in July until December 2018 regarding the implementation of Odd Semester Academic Year 2017/2018. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design by setting the study sample into two groups that were not carried out randomly, namely the experimental group that was provided with theistic spiritual counseling services; and the control group provided conventional counseling services.The research data were analyzed using the Variance Analysis (ANAVA) technique and continued with the Calculation Size Cohen's effect to see the significance of differences in adversity intelligence between theistic spiritual counseling services and conventional counseling services.The results showed that there was a significant difference between the intelligence scores of student adversities on theistic spiritual counseling services compared to conventional counseling services. The results of data analysis show the acquisition price of F arithmetic = 7.7240 which is a price greater than the price of F table = 3.9320 at the significance level * = 0.05. Student adversity intelligence on theistic spiritual counseling services (Ẋ = 148.3333 and s = 7.6873) is higher compared to conventional counseling services (Ẋ = 106.0000 and s = 7.6345).Based on the calculation of Cohen's Effect Size, the value of d = 1.8562 (97.1% percentage) was obtained for adversity intelligence. The calculation results show the magnitude of the influence of theistic spiritual counseling services with self disclosure techniques to increase adversity intelligence, which is in the high category

This study aims to determine the significant differences in the competence of IPS knowledge group of students who are taught with the learning model of Make A Match audio visual media assisted with groups of students who were taught by the conventional learning model on the students of grade V SD Gugus Budi Utomo Sub-district Denpasar East Year 2016/2017 . The design used in this research is a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study is all students of grade V SD Gugus Budi Utomo East Denpasar District, amounting to 324 people. The sample is determined by random sampling technique. The sample in this research is VB SDN 1 Kesiman students with 31 students as experiment group and students of VA SDN 6 Kesiman class with 31 students as control group. The data were collected using the test method in the form of a standard multiple-choice objective test. The data obtained were analyzed using the t-test. The results of data analysis obtained ttabel = 5.611 while at the level of significance 5% and dk = 60 obtained ttable = 2,000. Because thitung = 5.611> ttable = 2,000, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. This means that there is a significant difference of students' IPS competency which is taught by Make A Match learning with Audio Visual media with students who are taught by conventional learning model.. So it can be concluded that there is influence of learning model Make A Match audio visual media assisted to the knowledge competence of IPS students of grade V SD Gugus Budi Utomo Sub-district of East Denpasar Year lesson 2016/2017.

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia reached 305 / 100,000 live births; it is associated with a lower ANC visit. The promotion of health has a positive effect on increasing the ANC, which can be done with WhatsApp group (WAG). This study aimed on improving knowledge through health promotion with WhatsApp group at the health centres of Yogyakarta. This study was Quasi-experimental design using pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. Samples numbered 62; the sampling technique used consecutive sampling. The samples were divided into two groups namely intervention and control groups. The survey result showed that the highest frequency distribution was from the group that receivedon schedule health promotion as many as 17 (27,4) respondents, and those were not on schedule 15 (24,2%) of respondents. The interventionsgroup with 36.68 Mean Rank was higher than the control group 26.32. In addition, the Z-count value obtained by -2.365 and p-value of 0.018 meaning that the correlation was significant. In, conclusion, the group that received the intervention had higher rate of ante natal visit compared to the control group, and there is a significant difference between the visits in the intervention group and the control.

This study aims to investigate whether the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who get cooperative learning think pair square type is higher than students who get conventional learning. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a research design that is nonequivalent control group design. In this study sample selection using the Convenience Sampling technique is students of class VIII.5 as the control class and students of class VIII.6 as the experimental class. Experimental class students get learning using the think pair square learning model, while students in the control class get conventional learning. The instruments in this study were in the form of pretest and posttest questions in the form of questions describing the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. In the research that has been done, the significance (sig.) 0,000 is smaller than the significance level α = 0.05. The research hypothesis testing was carried out by the Mann-Whitney test using SPSS and a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05).. In this study it was found that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who received think pair square learning was higher than students who obtained conventional learning.

The study aims to test the effectiveness of career guidance program to develop vocational identity of students. The study uses a quantitative approach with quasi experimental methods and non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The study was conducted in SMK Muhammadiyah Imogiri Yogyakarta by taking a research subject that is a class XI student who is determined by random cluster sampling technique. An instrument which is used is the scale of vocational identity and observation guidelines. Results showed empirically career guidance program interventions based theory of Super effective to develop vocational identity of students. This research can be a reference for school counselor in developing vocational identity of students in the school especially those who are in adolescence

This study aims to analyze the investigative skills of Junior High School students upon the use of tracker video analysis for 21th century skill.This reasearch was quasy experimental reasearch using non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The population was 8th grade of SMP Negeri 4 Depok in academic year of 2018/2019, which consists of 4 classes with a total of 127 students. The samples consist of 30 students of class VIII A and 30 students of class VIII B, which are selected using cluster sampling technique. The Class VIII A was chosen as the control class, which used powerpoint and video, whereas Class VIII B was prepared as the experiment class, which used Tracker Video Analysis. The instruments used were pretest-posttest questions and observation sheet of investigative skill. The data analysis technique used was t-test. The result of this reasearch shows that the analysis through t-test gives a significance level value of investigative skill of 0.024 (Sig. α). This shows that there is an infuence of investigative skill of students upon Tracker Video Analysis.

This study aims to reveal the effect of using guided inquiry based experiment worksheet on reaction rate topic on students� learning outcome. This research is a quasi-experimental research, using randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experiment class and control class obtained through cluster sampling technique. The population were students of class XI MIA SMAN 4 Padang as much as 6 classes, the academic year 2015/2016. Sample were class XI MIA 1 (experimental group) and class XI MIA 3 (control group). Learning outcome ware collected by tests at the end of the study. Data analysis showed that the experiments class learning with guided inquiry based experiment worksheet got learning outcome with average value of 86.27. Meanwhile learning outcomes of student in control class who learned without guided inquiry based experiment worksheet was 74.40. Both of Normality and Homogenous�s results showed that the distribution of the two experimental classes were normal and homogeneous. After the t-test on the real level of 0.05 was found that tcount is greater than ttable. It�s means that research hypothesis (H1) is accepted, so that it can be concluded that the results of student learning using student worksheet guided inquiry-based reaction rate is significantly higher than the student worksheet without a reaction rate-based guided inquiry.
