This study aims to investigate whether the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who get cooperative learning think pair square type is higher than students who get conventional learning. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method with a research design that is nonequivalent control group design. In this study sample selection using the Convenience Sampling technique is students of class VIII.5 as the control class and students of class VIII.6 as the experimental class. Experimental class students get learning using the think pair square learning model, while students in the control class get conventional learning. The instruments in this study were in the form of pretest and posttest questions in the form of questions describing the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. In the research that has been done, the significance (sig.) 0,000 is smaller than the significance level α = 0.05. The research hypothesis testing was carried out by the Mann-Whitney test using SPSS and a significance level of 5% (α = 0.05).. In this study it was found that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who received think pair square learning was higher than students who obtained conventional learning.

This study aims to see the effect of visual thinking approach on improving students' mathematical connection ability. This is a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample is students on class VIII in Madrasah Tsanawiyah which is chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used are a test of mathematical connection ability and an observation sheet. The results of the observations showed an increase in the activity of students and teachers in each meeting in the classroom that obtained learning by using visual thinking approach. The data of increased connection ability is not normally distributed, so the data analysis is done using U non-parametric test of Mann Whitney. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is no significant effect of learning by using visual thinking approach to students’ mathematical connection ability improvement.

This study began with many students having low concept comprehension skills. This can be seen from the learning process that there are still many students who are less active, and there are still many students who still get grades below the KKM. the purpose of this study was to determine the ability to understand students 'mathematical concepts using the Think Talk Write learning model better than students' ability to understand mathematical concepts using conventional learning models in class VIII MTs Al-Ihsan. The type of this research is experimental, the design is Quasi Experimental, with Randomized Subjects Posstest Only Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study is cluster random sampling, where class VIII.3 was chosen as the experimental class and class VIII.5 as the control class. Data collection techniques through concept understanding tests, then data analysis techniques used are inferential statistical analysis using the "t" test (Independent Sample t Test). Based on the results of research testing the hypothesis of this study obtained t count = 2.061 t table = -1.999. This means that the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using Think Talk Write learning models is better than the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students using conventional learning models in class VIII MTs Al-Ihsan

The low competence of civic education knowledge due to less optimal use of models when learning resulted that students have difficulty understanding learning and getting bored quickly. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Value Clarification Technique learning model based on the civic on the knowledge competence of civic education. This study was a quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. A total of 184 students from 6th grade IV became the population. Samples were selected using a random sampling technique. Knowledge competence of civic education data collection used multiple-choice objective test instruments. The data obtained were analyzed using a t-test, namely polled variance. The results of data analysis obtained t-count = 2.880> t-table = 2.005 at a significance level of 5% with dk = n1 + n2-2 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Then it can be concluded that there is a significant effect in the knowledge competence of civic education between students who are taught the Value Clarification Technique learning model based on the folklore.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD (Student Team Achivement Divisions) berbantuan LKS terhadap hasil belajar keamanan pangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok sampel, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen dalam penelitian ini adalah kelompok siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran (STAD) Student Team Achievement Divisions berbantuan LKS, sedangkan kelompok kontrol adalah kelompok siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penentuan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji t, diperoleh thitung adalah 5,36. Sedangkan ttabel sebesar 1,67 dengan taraf signifikansi adalah 5%. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan hasil belajar keamanan pangan siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD (Student Team Achievement Divisions) berbantuan LKS dengan siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas X Jasa Boga SMK Pariwisata Triatma Jaya Singaraja. This type of research is a quasi-experimental desaind whit Nonequivalent Posttest Only Control Group Design. This study used two sample groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Theexperimental group in this study is a group of in this STAD (Student Team Achievement Divisions) model assisted by stuctured student’s worksheet, while the control group is group of students who use conventional learning models. The determination of this study was carried out by random sampling technique. Based on the results of hypothesis testing whit the ttest, it was found to be 5,36. While the ttable (0,05) is 1,67 with a significance level of 5%. This study aimed to find out the significant effect of Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model, student's academic ability, and the interaction between learning models and academic ability of the students’ argumentation skills. The population was all students of class VIII MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. The Samples were students of class VIII A and VIII B selected from the population by random cluster sampling technique. This study was quasi-experimental with Pretest Post-test Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used was argumentation skills test on the material motion systems in humans. The data were statistically analyzed using Ankova test and test Significant Difference (LSD) respectively at 5% significance level. The results showed that the learning ADI model, academic ability, and the interaction between the ADI model and academic abilities significantly influenced argumentation skills with significant value of each were 0,000; 0.007; and 0.038.

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah melihat efektivitas model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Sanrobone dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa di kelas VIII  SMPN 1 Sanrobone. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimental) dengan non-equivalent control grup design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card dan kelas kontrol tidak dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa nilai  (2-tailed)  atau  artinya tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card dan kelas yang tidak diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card. Berdasarkan kesimpulan dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together (NHT) berbantuan media pembelajaran question card  tidak efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. AbstractThis research aims to examine the effectiveness of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model which is equipped with Question Card learning media in promoting seventh grader’s understanding of mathematical concepts in SMPN 1 Sanrobone. In investigating the issue, this research used quasi experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. The research samples were selected using purposive sampling technique and were divided into two groups. The first group is an experimental class where Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model and Question Card learning media are implemented, while the second group is control class where Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model and Question Card learning media are not implemented. The results of hypothesis testing with significance rate of α = 0,05 shows that the value of  (2-tailed)  atau  . This further indicates that there is no difference in students’ understanding of mathematical concepts whether or not they are taught using Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model and Question Card learning media. Therefore, this research concludes that the implementation of Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model and Question Card learning media is not effective in promoting seventh graders’ understanding of mathematical concepts.


This study aims to determine: (1) whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of students who take learning with the flipped classroom model assisted by the Powtoon animation media is better than mathematics conceptual understanding of students who take conventional learning method, (2) whether the learning independence of students who take learning with the flipped classroom model assisted by the Powtoon animation media is better than students' learning independence following conventional learning method, and (3) is mathematics conceptual understanding and learning independence of students who take learning with the flipped model with Powtoon animation media is better than understanding math concepts and students' learning independence with conventional learning method. The population of this study was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Kuta Selatan in the academic year 2019/2020. The sample in this study was determined by cluster random sampling technique, which found as many as 2 classes who were divided into the experimental class and the control class. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only control group design. The students' mathematics conceptual understanding data was collected using essay tests to understand mathematical concepts, a set of students' learning independence data was obtained with a student learning independence questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Manova test with a significance level of 5%. The experimental results show that: (1) the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students who take learning with the flipped classroom model assisted by Powtoon animation media is better than students who take conventional learning method, (2) the independence of learning of students who take learning with the flipped classroom model assisted by the Powtoon animation media than students who follow conventional learning method, and (3) the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the learning independence of students who take lessons with the flipped classroom model assisted by Powtoon animation media is better than students who follow conventional learning method. This is because students who take part in learning with the flipped classroom model assisted by the Powtoon animation media are more enthusiastic about learning in class because they have previously studied the material with the videos in their homes. Students are also trained to re-express their understanding with group discussions.

Abstract This research aims to reveal the effectiveness of Problem Solving and Inquiry model. This research was quantitative research with quasi experiment as a method. It used the post test-only control group design modified in accordance with the quasi-experimental research. The research data were obtained through documentation of the number of learners, report book score as the initial score, learning devices, and evaluation. The population studied was two classes selected from SMP Negeri 1 Tanggul namely Class VIII A and VIII C, with 77 students having the proportion of class VIII A with 40 students and class VIII C with 37 students. The data analysis technique was one way ANOVA at the significance level of 0.05. The results show that there is an effectiveness difference in the scientific approach with the model of Problem Solving and Inquiry.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan keefektifan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Solving dan model pembelajaran Inkuiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimen semu dengan posttest-only control group design yang sudah dimodifikasi sesuai dengan quasi-experimental research. Pengumpulan data menggunakan cara dokumentasi yaitu berupa jumlah siswa, nilai rapot sebagai nilai awal, dan tes hasil belajar sebagai nilai akhir. Populasi yang diteliti adalah dua kelas yang dipilih dari SMP Negeri 1 Tanggul yakni Kelas VIII A dan VIII C, dengan jumlah 77 peserta didik yang memiliki proporsi kelas VIII A dengan 40 peserta didik dan kelas VIII C dengan 37 peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan one way anava dengan taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Solving dan pembelajaran Inquiry menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keefektifan.   Kata kunci: keefektifan pendekatan saintifik, problem solving, inkuiri

This research aims to analyze the effect of the application of ombre technique combined with cat eyes on the slanted eyes shape correction in night makeup that is assessed based on indicator of the impression of the length of the eye, the impression of the width of the eye and folds of the eyelids. This research is a quantitative research with quasi experimental method with Non equevalent control group design. The object in this study were three samples with slanted eyes characteristics. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: a) The control group without using scote tape and fake eyelashes showed less optimal results, b) The experimental group using scote tape and false eyelashes showed very maximum results, c)The hypothesis that reads "there is a significant influence on the application of the Ombre technique combined with cat eyes on the results of slanted eyes correction for night makeup" was accepted at 95% significance level because the price of t count> t table (7,721> 1,895).

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Topical Review (TR) dan yang diajar dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Jeopardy Review (JR) pada kelas X SMAN 16 Makassar. Pendekatan penelitian ini merupakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIA SMAN 16 Makassar. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep peserta didik berupa tes dengan menggunakan soal essay sebanyak 5 nomor untuk pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Dari hasil analisis inferensial diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,614 yang lebih besar dari dari pada α sebesar 0,05 (sig. > α). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Topical Review dan yang diajar dengan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe Jeopardy Review di kelas X SMAN 16 Makassar.  AbstractThe purpose of this study was to describe the differences in understanding the mathematical concepts of students who were taught using the Topical Review (TR) type of active learning strategy and those taught using the Jeopardy Review (JR) type of active learning strategy in class X SMAN 16 Makassar. This research approach is a quantitative approach. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental with the research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study was all students of class X MIA SMAN 16 Makassar. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique. The instrument used to determine students' understanding of the concept was a test using 5 numbers essay questions for the pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis with t-test. From the inferential analysis results obtained a significant value of 0.614 which is greater than α of 0.05 (sig.> Α). Thus it can be concluded that there is no difference in understanding the mathematical concepts of students who are taught with the Topical Review type active learning strategy and those taught with the Jeopardy Review type active learning strategy in class X SMAN 16 Makassar.
