Hypertension is still a health problem for the elderly group. The misperception about hypertension still occurs to the elderly. They often ignore hypertension and it impact their quality of life. The aim of this study is to obtain patient perceptions and the elderly’s quality of life who are experiencing hypertension, also the relationship between patient perceptions and the elderly’s quality of life who are experiencing hypertension at Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie Hospital Pontianak. This study was observational with analytival survey design. EQ-5D-3L (EuroQol five dimensions and B-IPQ (Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire) Indonesian version are instruments used which were valid and reliable. The subjects were hypertensive outpatient attending Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie Hospital Pontianak at aged> 60 years. The sample size was 118 respondents which were obtained from purposive technique sampling. Data was collected through B-IPQ instruments to measure patient perceptions, and EQ-5D-3L to measure patients' quality of life. The relationship between perception and quality of life was analyzed using Fisher's Exact Test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed the percentage of respondents who had a positive perception was 74.22%, and  good quality of life was 76.56%. The results of statistical analysis show there is a significant relationship between patient perceptions and the quality of life of elderly patients who experience hypertension at Sultan Syarif Mohamad Alkadrie Hospital Pontianak with value of p = 0,000.

Objective: The aim of current study was to investigate the interaction between factors such as personality, catastrophizing, mood disturbance and disease severity, which may affect the quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis. The result of this study can identify the factors that have an impact on quality of life among these patients and hopefully it may lead to improve the services provided for these patients. Design: One hundred and thirteen participants with multiple sclerosis completed the following questionnaires: Type D Personality (DS-14), Hospital Anxiety and Depression (HADS), Illness Perception (Brief-IPQ) and Quality of Life (SF-36). The Expanded Disability Statue Scale (EDSS) assessed disease severity. Main Outcome Measures: Data was analyzed in structural equation modeling. Results: Type D personality was associated with quality of life and the relationship was mediated by disease severity, catastrophizing and mood status. Conclusion: Results showed a significant relationship between Type D personality and QOL. However, when the variables were added to the model, the relationship ceased to exist. These results suggest that personality traits are indirectly associated with QOL, mediated by another variable.

Asthma is a heterogeneous disease and chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract that has an impact on the decreased quality of life. The design of this research is non-experimental cross-sectional. The variables of this study are illness perception, control of asthma, lung function values, and life quality of asthma patients. The relationship of asthma control, illness perception, lung function value, and life quality of asthma patients can be seen with structural equation modeling using Smart-PLS software. The results are only control of asthma affects life quality, where the coefficient value is 0.511, which is positive and significant (p = 0,000). Lung function value and asthma quality indicate that lung function has a positive relationship direction seen from the coefficient value of 0.306 but not significant (p = 0.061). The correlation between illness perception and life quality of asthma was negative, where the coefficient value was - 0.142 and not significantly different (p = 0.332). This means that the direction of the relationship is reversed; it means the quality of life of asthmatic patients, which affects illness perception by 14.2%. The conclusion is that the life quality of asthmatic patients is influenced by the control of asthma and lung function. But it’s different from illness perception, where there is a negative relationship between illness perception and life quality of asthma patients. Which means illness perception affects the life quality of asthma patients.

Objective: To determine the relationship between illness perception, medication adherence and health related quality of life in patients living with epilepsy. Design: A cross-sectional prospective survey among patients living with epilepsy recruited from two tertiary referral centers in Nigeria. Methods: Patients’ illness perception, adherence to antiepileptic drugs, and health related quality of life were determined using the brief illness perception questionnaire (BIPQ), the eight-item     Morisky medication adherence scale (MMAS-8), and the patient weighted quality of life in     epilepsy instrument (QOLIE-10-P) respectively. Correlation and linear regression analysis were used to test the relationship between the assessment variables. Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Results: Multivariate linear regression revealed that patients’ medication adherence score was predicted by their illness perception score (B = -0.030; p = 0.033). Also, patients’ QOLIE score was predicted by their illness perception score (B = -0.318; p = 0.0001). Conclusion: In patients living with epilepsy, illness perception is a predictor of their adherence to antiepileptic drug regimen and their health-related quality of life.

The scientific problem of economics “Managing the quality of human life” is formulated on the basis of artificial intelligence, algebra of logic and logical-probabilistic calculus. Managing the quality of human life is represented by managing the processes of his treatment, training and decision making. Events in these processes and the corresponding logical variables relate to the behavior of a person, other persons and infrastructure. The processes of the quality of human life are modeled, analyzed and managed with the participation of the person himself. Scenarios and structural, logical and probabilistic models of managing the quality of human life are given. Special software for quality management is described. The relationship of human quality of life and the digital economy is examined. We consider the role of public opinion in the management of the “bottom” based on the synthesis of many studies on the management of the economics and the state. The bottom management is also feedback from the top management.
