The increasing suburbanization of immigrant settlement in Canada’s major receiving cities has created unprecedented challenges for municipalities. Despite emerging research about the rise of ethnic suburbs in Canada and abroad, the role of suburban municipalities in facilitating immigrant integration and planning with diversity remains unclear. Based on mixed-method ethnographic research, this article investigates how immigrant and racialized communities in the Greater Toronto Area have significantly transformed suburban places and built institutionally complete communities. However, the rapid development of these spaces has not been fully recognized or supported by municipal planning authorities. Conflicts related to land use, public engagement, and public realm development expose planning’s failure to keep pace with the diverse needs of immigrant communities, who must continually negotiate and fight for their use of space. Furthermore, the lack of effective civic engagement not only ignores immigrant and racialized communities as important stakeholders in suburban redevelopment, but also threatens to destroy the social infrastructure built by these communities and their ‘informal’ practices that are often not recognized by the planning ‘norm.’ Without appropriate community consultation, planning processes can further sideline marginalized groups. Lack of consultation also tends to prevent cooperation between groups, impeding the building of inclusive communities. It is imperative for municipalities to better understand and encourage community engagement and placemaking in ethnic suburbs. This study offers several recommendations for suburban planning with diversity.

Muhammadiyah is known as Islamic organization pioneering modern educational and social movement. Recently, Muhammadiyah education has experienced rapid development, yet there are still many problems and challenges to overcome in order to continue competing and giving the best for the society. The aim of this research was to figure out the role of Muhammadiyah in conducting dakwah bil hal movement in education and social environment in Sorong City, Papua. By using qualitative method and in-depth interview and also field research, this study found out that bil hal Muhammadiyah Movement in Sorong City, Papua has given significant impact on the society, especially in education from Kindergarten to University level. Meanwhile, in the social field, Muhammadiyah in Sorong City had built orphanage for boys and girls. However, in terms of management of organizational governance, Muhammadiyah needs to strengthen the solidity between regional leaders, optimization of autonomous assemblies and organizations as a power base to support maximization of dakwah bil hal Muhammadiyah movement in the future, especially in education and society.

It is natural that all modern small towns move to the level of megacities. The city of Nukus is trying to accept this status on the basis of its socio-demographic process, but it is natural that the bigger the city, the more problems. The main challenge for the rise of Nukus to the level of a megalopolis is to determine the evolutionary demographic growth of the population, to study the climatic conditions, to identify and improve the social infrastructure of the population. The climate of the urban nature, the social infrastructure of the population, the areas and shortcomings of each sector were studied. The result of the active movement of sectors to implement the state program in all areas of the city will serve to prepare for the level of the megalopolis.

The aim of the study is to analyse the effectiveness of personnel social development management tools. The essence of social policy, social guarantees, social programs has been considered in the article. The importance of managing social development of personnel for large companies has been substantiated, the functions and tasks of social management have been highlighted. The implementation of the functions considered will help to attract and retain more qualified and talented employees, improve the effectiveness of professional interaction in the team and, accordingly, increase the efficiency of the staff and the enterprise as a whole.The influence of the level of planning social programs on increasing the level of employee loyalty to the organization, the growth of labor productivity, social activity, creativity, rationalization of activities have been noted. The role of management of the personnel social development, the social working conditions and social infrastructure has been argued. The most important tools for managing social development of enterprise personnel have been highlighted.

Abstract Poverty and social exclusion are nowadays widely debated phenomena as they present highly threatening consequences for the wellbeing of humanity, making it unable to reach adequate living standards and to fully exercise social rights. To alleviate imbalances, adequate programs need to be put into place and for this process to be efficient, coherence and commitment must constitute elementary values to advance social welfare. Social enterprises can also contribute with their value creating potential to the fostering of a sustainable society that places a high emphasis on the defense of vulnerable groups and offers them an equitable treatment. The present paper firstly aims to illustrate conceptual elements referring to poverty, social exclusion and the social protection of marginalized groups. Secondly, the study is complemented by a research on Romanian social enterprises’ perspective (associations, foundations and sheltered units) concerning social threats and the defense of less favored individuals, undertaken through a questionnaire-based survey. The research unveils the social enterprises’ belief that the Romanian social field needs substantial attention from policymakers and that social protection services can aid them in gaining social privileges more adequately.

Relevant theoretical and methodological, methodical, and practical issues of the role of education in ensuring sustainable development and achieving social stability under the transformation processes in Ukraine and the world are considered. It seems essential, as nowadays there are many new threats in our country, which require the identification of factors that may affect them, and primarily in terms of mitigation. In this regard, studying the problems associated with identifying and disclosing the factors that positively and negatively affect the growth of social stability and sustainable development, in particular factors of social and production, innovation and technological, natural and technogenic character under the deep transformation processes, is carried out. Among the factors that characterize and determine a socially stable environment, the factors of the population size, the level of urbanization, and the state of the industrial and social infrastructure development are of great importance. At the same time, the interaction of various factors plays an important role. Their dynamism, efficiency, and harmonization facilitate this. This should be the goal of state policy to achieve interaction between the processes of public consumption and the restoration of natural resources at a harmonious balance of economic, social, and environmental goals and needs, ensuring the overcome of both external and internal threats. In achieving sustainable development, special importance belongs to the educational sphere, which is an important factor in ensuring social stability. At the same time, special attention in the context of the educational sphere as a factor exerting a critical influence is paid to innovative technologies, human and other types of capital. Within the framework of studying various aspects of the educational sphere, practical approaches to the development of the social policy directed on the successful decision of modern problems of development of civilization are also considered.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the incidence of ADHD in children and adolescents. Many learning and behavioral problems are associated with this disorder due to difficulties in cognitive and metacognitive functions. Only when individuals improve these functions will they be able to integrate in the social environment. Skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-control can help children with ADHD develop their emotional intelligence to control their cognitive deficits and adapt to diverse areas. With the rapid development of science, several medical and behavioral methods have been proposed to treat ADHD, which have contributed significantly to the control of symptoms. However, medication is considered as a first-choice treatment to reduce the symptoms. The present study investigates the comorbidity of ADHD with other mental and developmental disorders as also the role and effectiveness of drug intervention in order to improve the quality of life of these children.

A modern economy is market focused. It is held that when a woman becomes a participant in the market on her own term as a rational economic agent she is empowered in an economic sense. It does not take into account the other spectrums of empowerment viz. gender political, cultural and like. A nation's infrastructure provides the basic scaffolding for development. The differences in how men and women use infrastructure services have important implications for sector policies, investment priorities, and program designs. This chapter will analyse how the infrastructure development programme as an economic process assist women to enhance capability of them within society and how its actual impact is mutually constituted by other non-economic social processes and make it an over determined matter. Our study has shown that adequate access of the social infrastructure services has fetched benefits for women and ensures empowerment of women.

The rapid development of innovative technologies and the rapid change in the social environment necessitate the search for tools for the formation of professional competence that meet the modern requirements of training students in vocational educational institutions. Purpose of the article: analysis of the implementation of foresight sessions in the professional self-development of students. Methodology: the article presents the dynamics of student participation in foresight sessions, an increase in the number of students over several years, as well as the results of a survey of participants in foresight sessions to determine the advantages of the method. Results: Conducting foresight sessions expands the possibilities of forming the professional competence of future specialists.
