Objective. The purpose of the research is the experimental study of the possibility of correction of disorders of lipid metabolism, lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection (POL-AOP), liver structure on the model of alimentary hyperlipidemia in mice. Materials and methods. Fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide with a molecular weight of 160 kDa, derived from brown algae Fucus evanescens. The alimentary hyperlipidemia model was reproduced in mice. The biochemical parameters of lipid metabolism, state of POL-AOP system and the liver structure by MRT were studied. Results. We revealed the ability of fucoidan at per os administration to animals to normalize the key parameters of lipid metabolism, indicators of POL-AOP system, liver anatomic-topographic structure. Conclusion. The ability of fucoidan to correct these parameters allows us to consider it as a basis for the development of new biological medicines for the treatment of atherosclerotic disorders.

The mechanism of obesity is a complex one, while in regulating feeding behavior there are other factors that act, among which the hypothalamic centers, the metabolic balance of the internal environment, information’s digestive system, endocrine system or adipose tissue response. The study on a group of cats aimed to evaluate specific biochemical parameters of lipid metabolism – cholesterol, triglicerides, LDL, HDL, including a parameter less assessed in medical veterinary practice – apolipoprotein B (Apo-B). Increased levels of this parameter are found in disorders such as obesity, hiperlipoproteinemia, nephrotic syndrome, diabetes etc. The results revealed significant disorders of lipid metabolism with predisposition to obesity, hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disease.

Introduction. To date, age and sex differences have been established for many biochemical parameters. Gender differences in indicators for systems such as antioxidant, thiol-disulfide, oxidative stress and inflammation systems are absent or under study.The aim of the study was to identify gender differences in biochemical parameters reflecting the functioning of antioxidant systems of the body and free radical oxidation in workers of metallurgical production, in contact with harmful production factors.Materials and methods. The blood of men and women working at the metallurgical enterprise of the Nizhny Novgorod region (n=80) under the influence of a complex of physical and chemical production factors was studied. Total oxidative stress, total antioxidant capacity of serum, glutathione levels were studied by photometric biochemical methods. Levels of C-reactive protein and 8-hydroxy–2-deoxyguanosine were studied by ELISA.Results. The average amount of peroxides in the serum of women exceeded 1.6 times this figure in men. In the group of men, the content of 8-Ondg was higher by 26% (p=0.012), the level of GS-by 12% (p=0.019), the activity of SOD — by 1.5–2 times (p=0.0001), the level of CRP — by 2 times (p=0.008) compared to similar indicators in women.Conclusions. Studies of gender differences in workers under the influence of harmful production factors will allow more effective approach to the etiology, treatment and prognosis of production-related diseases. Indicators of oxidative stress and antioxidant protection can be indicators of the health of workers under the influence of harmful industrial factors and be important in the prevention of diseases associated with oxidative stress.

The paper presents quantitative indicators of lipid peroxidation (LP) products and antioxidant support network (ASN) in blood plasma in women with various histological forms of endometrial hyperplastic processes (EHPs). The goal of the paper is to assess the state of LP processes and ASN in women of reproductive age with various forms of EHPs. Materials and Methods. The trial enrolled 137 women of reproductive age: 112 women with endometrial hyperplasia (EH) and 25 women with uterine cavity synechia without EH. Conclusion. In case if EH progresses from a simple atypical form to adenocarcinoma, an increase in lipid peroxidation intensity and ASN inhibition is observed. В работе представлены количественные показатели содержания продуктов перекисного окисления липидов (ПОЛ) и системы антиоксидантной защиты (АОЗ) в плазме крови у женщин с различными гистологическими формами гиперпластического процесса эндометрия (ГПЭ). Цель исследования. Оценить состояние процессов ПОЛ и системы АОЗ при развитии различных форм ГПЭ у женщин репродуктивного возраста. Материалы и методы. Объектом исследования явились 137 женщин репродуктивного возраста: 112 женщин с гиперплазией эндометрия (ГЭ) и 25 женщин с синехиями полости матки без ГЭ. Выводы. При прогрессировании ГЭ от простой неатипичной до аденокарциномы происходит нарастание интенсивности липопереокисления и угнетения системы АОЗ.
