Abstract Timely and accurately evaluating the severity and prognosis of sepsis occupy an important position in septic management. The purpose of the article was to investigate the value of corrective effect of human serum albumin (HSA) in assessment on the mortality of septic patients with hypoproteinemia.A retrospective analysis was carried out. A logistic regression model was adopted to analyze the association between the mortality and related risk factors. Furthermore, the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC) were utilized to analyze the abilities of potential risk factors in prediction of the mortality of septic patients with hypoproteinemia. The ratio of total dosage of HSA-to-the difference of serum albumin before and after albumin supplement (THSA/DALB) was significantly increased in non-survivors of septic patients with hypoproteinemia than that in survivors (P <0.001). THSA/DALB (P = 0.018) was an independent risk factor for the mortality of septic patients with hypoproteinemia. ROC analysis showed that area under curve (AUC) of THSA/DALB, SOFA score and APACHE II score were 0.800 , 0.802 and 0.766 , respectively. The data demonstrated that THSA/△ALB could be an independent risk factor in predicting the mortality of septic patients with hypoproteinemia.

The scientific work presents materials of theoretical and experimental substantiation of the use of regional bioactive food additives, namely wild plants of the legume family (Fabaceae), permitted for use in the food industry: sweet clover (Melilotus officinalis), red meadow clover (Trifolium pratense), white acacia (Robinia pseudoacacia) in the production of functional foods [1]. Experimental studies of the safety indicators of food wild-growing plants (FWP) have been carried out. It was found that the studied FWP growing in ecologically clean areas of the North Ossetia-Alania are distinguished by a low mass fraction of toxic substances. Two fractions of cellulose were investigated: 1 - water-soluble (pectic acid, pectin, methylcellulose); 2 - water-insoluble (protopectin, cellulose, hemicellulose). The increased content of dietary fiber in WGP powders has been established, corresponding to the physiological norms of satisfying the daily requirement for FWP and, in this regard, indicating the expediency of using functional food in formulations for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus, obesity, and atherosclerosis. The sorption capacity of WGP powders with respect to lead has been investigated. All studied powders of WGP modification products are characterized by high sorption capacity. The technologies of flour products with the addition of FWP powders have been developed. The results of clinical and preclinical studies of the developed functional bread show a corrective effect of glycemic blood parameters, as well as a decrease in the lead content in the blood of fed laboratory rat pups by almost two times, compared with the control.

The determinants of the long-standing and relatively widespread practice of fetishistic transvestites have been so far insufficiently researched by the psychological science. In the present paper on a Russian sample of fetishistic transvestites of mature and young age (N=120) mediated by virtual reality, an Internet study of the severity of their meaning life crisis and the specifics of self-attitude, which have a deep systematic impact on self-management of the life process, was carried out within the norm. It is shown that the overwhelming majority of fetishistic transvestites do not experience a meaning-life crisis, and their self-attitude is divided into dichotomous lines of manifestation – balance in conditions of confidentiality and dissonance in the public environment. It is established that the meaning-of-life crisis provides a favorable corrective effect on self-abasement, blocking the trajectory of minimizing self-abasement to an abnormal state by the method of self-justification of personal experience of fetishistic transvestism. It is revealed that the absence of a meaning-of-life crisis is characterized by the expanded personal plasticity of fetishistic transvestites in transphobic social situations, maintaining their state of self-esteem at an acceptable level, while their autosympathy as a veiled dimension of self-attitude is contrastively encapsulated from the meaning of life crisis.

The purpose of the study was to examine the features of heart rate variability in experimental hyper- and hypofunction of the pineal gland, complicated by adrenal myocardial dystrophy. Materials and methods. To solve the set tasks, three models of functional states were created: hypo-, hyperfunction of the pineal gland, adrenaline myocardial dystrophy. Hypermelatoninemia was reproduced by administering melatonin. The hypofunction of the pineal gland was simulated by round-the-clock lighting. An experimental model of cardiac pathology, namely adrenaline myocardial dystrophy, was reproduced by administering adrenaline hydrochloride. The degree of tension of regulatory mechanisms and mechanisms of nervous regulation was assessed by mathematical analysis of heart rate variability. Results and discussion. The task of mathematical analysis is to extract “hidden information” and thereby assess the state and degree of tension of the regulatory mechanisms of the whole organism. According to the authors, mathematical analysis allows a differentiated approach to the assessment of regulatory effects, which is done by the nervous autonomic system, subcortical structures and the cerebral cortex. The data obtained by the authors suggest that the introduction of adrenaline in conditions of hypofunction of the pineal gland have cause-and-effect changes. These changes lead to disorders of autonomic regulation and possibly a trigger mechanism for a decrease in melatonin production by the pineal gland. Studies have shown that one of the advantages in conditions of hyperfunction of the pineal gland is the dominant role of parasympathetic processes in the mechanisms of adaptation of the heart to conditions of adrenal myocardial dystrophy. Timely and sufficient activation of melatonin provides a high efficiency of compensatory-adaptive changes and a positive role in increasing myocardial resistance. Conclusion. The results of the study showed that the dynamics of changes in the values of the indicators of the mathematical analysis of the heart rate in adrenal myocardial dystrophy against the background of hypo- and hyperfunction of the pineal gland revealed unidirectional changes. These changes are manifested in a decrease in heart rate, stress index and vegetative balance indicator. Consequently, the results obtained suggest that the introduction of melatonin against the background of adrenal myocardial dystrophy has a general corrective effect on the restoration of the functional state of the heart. Based on the results, the authors consider it appropriate to continue the study of the influence of various stressors on the functional state of the heart in conditions of different physiological activity of the pineal gland

Introduction. Considering the prevalence of acute alcohol poisoning in Russia, it seems urgent to search for new effective means of correcting them. Along with taking measures to remove ethanol from the body, pathogenetic correction is effective. Oxymethyluracil and its derivatives have proven to be effective hepatoprotectors in various experimental models of liver damage. The aim of the research was the evaluation of the effectiveness of oxymethyl uracil on the model of acute alcohol intoxication. Material and methods. On the model of acute toxic liver injury of laboratory animals with ethanol, the efficiency of correction of pathological changes with oxymethyl uracil was studied compared to the drug “Mexidol”. A complex of biochemical, morphological and genetic studies was carried out. Results. The morphological studies showed that the correction with oxymethyluracil was more effective at both time points than the drug “Mexidol”, which was manifested in a lower intensity of damage to the liver parenchyma. In the group that received oxymethyluracil, a restoration of the frequency of expression of the Chek 1 gene was observed both after 24 and 72 hours. Upon acute exposure to ethanol, a slight decrease in the level of RIPK1 gene expression was observed. The level of expression of this gene decreased most significantly during the correction of oxy methyl uracil. A decrease in the frequency of expression of this gene can indicate a slowdown in necrosis processes and suppression of reactive oxygen species production in liver cells and, consequently, a curative effect of oxymethyluracil in this type of intoxication. Conclusion. Based on the complex biochemical, morphological and genetic studies carried out, it can be concluded that under acute exposure to ethanol, the corrective effect of oxymethyl uracil is more pronounced than Mexidol (ethylmethylhydroxypyridine succinate).

The work studied the influence of infectious factors on changes in immunological and hormonal parameters in women who have a full pregnancy without infections of the genitourinary system and women with an infection of the genitourinary system and have miscarriages in the early stages of up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. It was concluded that in women in early pregnancy, the presence of infections of the genitourinary system, with insufficient corrective effect of protease inhibitors and TGF-?1. The formation of a pronounced pro-inflammatory immune response is possible, which can contribute to an imbalance of sex hormones. It manifests itself in a slight decrease in prolactin, FSH, LH, but at the same time a pronounced and reliable decrease in the value of progesterone and an increase in the level of estradiol. Thus, all this can contribute to the unfavorable course of early pregnancy and the development of miscarriages.

Scientific interest in nanomedicine nowadays is constantly growing, and nanomaterials have found wide application in diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. The most promising seem to be metal nanoparticles (NP). Some of them are actively studied in separate and there are favorable results considering their ability to normalize blood cell counts, but their co-work as a composite is still not well known. This opens a great perspective for studying NP as the blood homeostasis corrector, which could help in developing treatment schemes for many threatening diseases followed by the blood cell count disorders, especially malignant tumors. As colorectal cancer is third most commonly diagnosed, this study was focused on evaluation of blood cell counts changes in rats with DMH-induced colon adenocarcinoma in situ along with the assessment of Au/Ag/Fe NP composition corrective effect. Colon adenocarcinoma was induced by introducing N,N-dimethylhydrazine hydrochloride during 30 weeks. After pathohistological verification of developing colon adenocarcinoma in situ in DMH-treated rats Au/Ag/Fe NP composition was administered during 3 weeks. Introducing NP to the DMH-injured rats lead to increasing RBC and HGB and decreasing pathologically high-leveled MCV, MCH and MCHC to normal references. Assessed NP composition normalized the neutrophils rate, LMR and gave us a PLT rate particularly the same, as in the control group animals. Taking into account the previously proven biosafety of gold, silver and iron NP on their own and as a result the predicted biosafety of their composition we can consider further amplification of preclinical study on this NP composition of high significance, as it might be possibly used as following therapy of non-metastatic forms of colon cancer.

Objectives: It was to assess vasoprotective effects of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids in cerebral ischemia. Materials and methods: The experiments were carried out on 42 male outbred white rats weighing 260 ± 20 g. modeling of cerebral ischemia was carried out under conditions of intravenous thiopental anesthesia (40-50 mg / kg). The studies used models of subtotal, partial and stepwise subtotal cerebral ischemia. The table shows the experimental groups and the number of animals in them. Subtotal cerebral ischemia (SCI) was modeled by simultaneous ligation of both common carotid arteries (CCA). Partial cerebral ischemia (PCI) was modeled by ligating one CCA on the right. Stepwise subtotal CI (SSCI) was performed by sequential ligation of both CCA with an interval of 1 day (subgroup 1), 3 days (subgroup 2), or 7 days (subgroup 3). To study the effects of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFA), animals with CI were injected intragastrically with the drug "Omegamed" (SCI+ω-3 PUFA) at a dose of 5 g / kg body weight for a week. The control group consisted of sham-operated rats of the same sex and weight. Neurological deficits were assessed in the "muscle strength", "swimming test" and "open field" tests after 5-6 hours of the ischemic period. The study was carried out 6 hours after the simulation of the CI. Quantitative continuous data were obtained, which were processed using the licensed computer program Statistica 10.0 for Windows (StatSoft, Inc., USA). Since the experiment used small samples that had an abnormal distribution, the analysis was carried out by methods of nonparametric statistics. Data are presented as Me (LQ; UQ), where Me is the median, LQ is the value of the lower quartile; UQ is the upper quartile value. Differences between groups were considered significant at p <0.05 (Regression Model). Results: With a stepwise bilateral ligation of both common carotid arteries with an interval of 1 day, neurological disorders were most pronounced, which indicates an aggravation of neurological deficit with a reduction in the time between CCA dressings. In rats with SCI, the changes were more pronounced than with PCI, but less than with SCI. The least pronounced changes were noted in the 3rd subgroup (the interval between CCA dressings was 7 days). Studies have shown the dependence of the severity of brain damage in SSCI on the interval between the cessation of blood flow in both CCA. At a 7-day interval between CCA dressings, compensatory mechanisms were activated, which prevented the development of morphological changes and neurological deficits. When CCA was ligated with an interval of 1 day, the degree of neurological deficit was maximal, which indicates insufficient implementation of compensatory mechanisms. Compared with the control group, the rats of the "SCI+ω3-PUFA" group retained neurological deficit, the muscle strength indicator was 86% less (p<0.05), the swimming duration - by 63% (p<0.05), the number of crossed squares - by 55% (p<0.05), the number of washes - by 62% (p<0.05), the number of racks - by 62.5% (p<0.05) and the number of bowel movements - by 60% (p<0.05). However, in comparison with the SCI group, the neurological deficit was less pronounced. There was an increase in muscle strength by 67% (p<0.05), swimming duration by 37.5% (p<0.05) and the number of squares crossed in the open field test by 31% (p<0.05), which indicates the presence of a corrective action in the ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids preparation. Conclusion: The introduction of the preparation of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids has a corrective effect in conditions of subtotal cerebral ischemia, contributing to a lesser severity of manifestations of neurological deficit (an increase in muscle strength, duration of swimming and the number of squares crossed in the open field test).

The article analyzes the role of microcirculatory disorders in the pathogenesis of inflammatory complications (peri-implantitis) in patients with orthopedic constructions on dental implants and substantiates the possibility of a complex course application of low-intensity infrared laser therapy and low-frequency electrostatic therapy. It was shown that the initial state of patients with peri-implantitis is characterized by significantly low values of the level of general perfusion and its intensity, as well as the predominance of shunt mechanisms that reduce the values of the nutritive link of blood flow. The cause of the revealed disorders is the low level of functioning of the vasodilation mechanisms, caused by inflammatory and destructive processes in the peri-implant tissues. The use of a complex of physiotherapeutic exposure was characterized by a more pronounced corrective effect on the parameters of microcirculation and oxidative metabolism in comparison with standard dental treatment. The observed dynamics of microcirculatory systems of tissues of the peri-implant zone under the conditions of the complex influence of physiotherapeutic factors is aimed at the formation of adaptive reactions of local hemodynamics to the local needs of soft and bone tissues experiencing an inflammatory process around the implant, as well as strengthening the mechanisms of long-term adaptation of trophic relations in tissue peri-implant microregions. Taking into account the pathogenetic significance of microhemodynamic disorders in the formation of clinical manifestations of peri-implantitis, the revealed activating effect of the technology of the combined use of a laser and low-frequency electrostatic therapy serves as an objective proof of its therapeutic efficacy.

The aim of the research: to experimentally study at the histological and morphological level the degree of the corrective effect of bacterial lysate of the disturbed non-specific defense of the body on the model of periodontitis based on the Central Research Laboratory of the National University of Pharmacy. Materials and methods: prospective study has been conducted on experimental periodontitis in 42 rats for 90 days. The animals were treated with «Respibron» and the reference drug «Imudon». Histological and morphometric studies were carried out according to standard methods. Micropreparations were viewed under a Granum DCM 310 digital video camera. All interventions and euthanasia of animals were carried out in compliance with the European principles. Results: by the end of 90 days of experimental periodontitis at the local level in the homogenate of animal gum tissue compensatory mechanisms are depleted and differed from the norm by 397 times. The dynamics of the studied morphometric and histological parameters of "Respibron" was similar to the "Imudon", but the magnitude of destruction was less pronounced and differed at the end of the experiment by 17.2 times in comparison with the intact control, and in the control group the results improved by 23.1 times. Conclusion: the obtained data from the study indicate a high decompensation of experimental periodontitis. It is characterized by the formation of periodontal pockets and inflammatory bone loss. The magnitude of destruction differed from the norm by 397 times. Applying of bacterial lysates led to the compensation of bacterial dysbiosis, restoration of the tissues of paradont. The therapeutic effect of "Respibron" can be assessed as more powerful in comparison with "Imudon" in terms of the studied morphometric and histological parameters: the magnitude of improvement "Respibron" was 3.72 times higher than the indicators of "Imudon". We should continue the study of experimental periodontitis as mechanisms of development, protection, and restoration of tissues under conditions of pharmacological correction by bacterial lysate "Respibron"
