The pride of Russia has always been sable. Sable is unique not only in the quality of its fur, but also in the fact that almost the entire range of its habitat is located on the territory of our country. It was in our country that this animal was first bred in captivity. In this regard, Russia has long had a monopoly on the production of sable skins. In 1969, the black sable breed was approved, and in 1998, the «Saltykov» type of sable was approved. JSC «Saltykovsky Breeding farm» has created a unique herd of dark Sables with evenly spaced gray hair, the skins of which are valued at auctions by 10–30% more expensive [2]. The article presents the results of a comparative assessment of the productive qualities of Sables without gray hair and with different degrees of gray created in JSC «Plemzverosovkhoz » Saltykovsky» livestock. As a result of the analysis, it was found that Sables with gray hair have higher bonitirovki scores (more than 50%). Analyzing the indicators of bonitirovki in males and females with different degrees of gray hair, it was found that the quality of pubescence and color of males with bright gray hair is significantly superior to individuals without gray hair, the same trend is observed in females. In addition, a positive correlation was found (0,79) between the weight of skins in grams, their length and area both in Sables without gray hair, and in individuals with different degrees of gray hair. The most common defect on skins without gray hair is soaking.

Marital status and marital status transitions have known implications for adults’ mental and physical quality of life. Less attention has been paid, however, to the implications of marital status and transitions for sexual quality of life, particularly among the aging population. The present study analyzed three-wave longitudinal data from the National Survey of Midlife Development in the U.S. (1995–2014) in order to examine the effects of marital status/transitions on adults’ frequency of sexual activity, sexual satisfaction, effort put into sexual life, and control over sexual life. Further, this study assessed whether the implications of marital status/transitions for adults’ sexual quality of life varied according to (a) pre-transition reports of sexual quality of life, (b) gender, and/or (c) age. Multilevel lagged dependent variable models analyzed 2,869 observations drawn from 1,769 midlife and older adults over a two-decade span. Results indicated that the implications of marital status and marital status transitions for sexual life (a) were contingent upon baseline context across all four sexual quality of life outcomes, (b) varied by gender across three of the four sexual quality of life outcomes, and (c) varied only slightly by age concerning frequency of sexual activity. Overall, findings indicated that marital status transitions may be either beneficial or detrimental for adults’ sexual lives, depending on prior context; marital status transitions were most beneficial for sexual quality of life when baseline reports of sexual life were poor. Moreover, women were less likely to reap the potential rewards of marital status transitions such as divorce and widowhood, reflecting stronger social and normative constraints upon unmarried women’s sexuality, particularly for older women. We situate these findings within the growing literature concerning marital status transitions, the “graying of divorce,” and sexual life among the aging population.

(1) Background: Disorders of sexual life negatively impact self-esteem and social relationships. This problem affects patients after gynecological surgery. Providing access to specialist sexologist care constitutes an important aspect of support for this patient group. (2) Objective: The aim of the study was to assess the sexual life of women depending on the time since surgery, extent of gynecological surgery and postoperative chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy. (3) Methods: The study included 136 patients from gynecological outpatient clinics in Szczecin, Poland. The women answered questions from a special three-part questionnaire. Participation was anonymous and voluntary. The data obtained in the survey were subject to statistical analysis. (4) Results: Among patients with a sparing of the cervix, most have never or almost never experienced discomfort or pain during intercourse, and believe that the quality of their sex life has not deteriorated after surgery. It was found that cervical removal, despite the existence of other conditions, increases the chance of pain during sexual activity 11 times. We found that the removal of adnexa did not increase the risk of changing sexual activity. In patients who had not undergone postoperative chemo- and/or radiotherapy, sexual activity did not change after surgery, and they never or almost never experienced discomfort or pain during intercourse. On the other hand, it was shown, despite the smaller study group, that patients treated with postoperative chemo- and/or radiotherapy did not initiate sexual intercourse. (5) Conclusion: The more extended the gynecological surgery of the uterus, the greater the limitation of sexual life.

Introduction. The article provides latest data on modern methods of treating rosacea. The results of own clinical observations of patients with moderate to severe papulopustular rosacea receiving combination treatment and a comparative analysis of the efficacy of various therapy regimens are presented. Objective of the study. The aim of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis of the therapeutic efficacy of combination therapy using the ivermectin 1% topical drug combined with systemic therapy drugs (doxycycline, minocycline, isotretinoin).Materials and methods. We observed 37 patients with moderate to severe papulo-pustular rosacea subtype. The patients were divided into 4 groups (A, B, C, D). Patients in the control group received monotherapy with 1% ivemectin topical drug, patients in the other groups received combination therapy (1% ivermectin combined with low-dose doxycycline, minocycline and isotretinoin). The efficacy of the therapy was evaluated by measuring rosacea severity on the Scale for Diagnostic Assessment of Rosacea (SDAR), clinical manifestations according to the IGA (Investigator Global Assessment) criteria, and by assessing the patients' quality of life using the DLQI (Dermatology Life Quality Index) questionnaire before and after 3-month treatment.Results. The comparative analysis of changes in severity indicators of the skin process and quality of life in patients with moderate to severe papulopustular rosacea after topical and combination therapy showed that the results of the treatment in patients receiving combination therapy were more significant than those in the group receiving monotherapy.Conclusion. The concomitant use of 1% ivermectin and systemic drugs is most effective in patients with severe papulopustular rosacea subtype. The combination treatment tailored to the clinical forms and severity of rosacea allows to optimize the clinical results of the therapy, which significantly affects the patients' quality of life and opens up potential for an individual approach in the algorithms for the treatment of rosacea.

Abstract Background Sexual function is often affected in patients suffering from chronic diseases especially chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, the effect of COPD on sexual satisfaction is underappreciated in clinical practice. The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of COPD on patient’s sexuality and the explanatory variables of sexual dissatisfaction. Methods Questionnaires were emailed to participants and they submitted their responses on the Santé Respiratoire France website. Data about sexual well-being (Arizona Sexual Experience Scale, ASEX), Quality of life (VQ11), anxiety, depression (Hospitalized anxiety and depression, HAD) and self-declared COPD grade were collected. Results Seven hundred and fifty one subjects were included and were characterized as follows: women—51%, mean age—61 years, in a couple—62% and 70%—retired. Every grade of COPD was represented. Out of 751 participants, 301 participants (40%) had no sexual activity and 450 (60%) had sexual activity. From the 450 participants, 60% needed to change their sexual life because of their disease (rhythm, frequency and position). Subjects often used medications to improve sexual performance (43% used short-acting bronchodilator and 13% -specific erectile dysfunction drugs). ASEX questionnaire confirmed patients’ dissatisfaction (diminution of sexual appetite for 68% and sexual desire for 60%) because of breathlessness and fatigue. Eighty one percent of the responders had an altered quality of life (VQ11 mean score 35) and frequent suspected anxiety or depression (HAD mean score 10.8). Ninety percent declared that sexual dysfunction had never been discussed by their doctors, while 36% of patients would have preferred to undergo a specialized consultation. Conclusion Sexual dysfunction is frequent among COPD patients and leads to an altered well-being, however being a cultural taboo, it remains frequently neglected. Sexual guidance should be a part of patient’s consultations improve quality of sexual life.

Nowadays, tuberculosis continue to be one of actual problems of health care. The increasing of effectiveness of modern anti-tuberculosis therapy permitted to decrease mortality of patients with tuberculosis of lungs and to focus attention on problem ofprevention of their disablement. The purpose of study is to carry out comparative analysis of questionnaires for evaluating quality of life ofpatients with tuberculosis of lungs in process of successfully implementing of treatment with the view of selecting questionnaire most completely reflecting occurring alterations. The sampling of 42 patients with tuberculosis of lungs was examined at stage of completion of implemented treatment. All patients were applied spirometry. The following questionnaires were applied to analyze quality of life: SF-36, the Saint George hospital questionnaire (SGRQ) and questionnaire of chronic respiratory diseases (CRQ). The study was carried out twice in process of effective treatment with two months interim. The sensitivity of questionnaires was determined by effect size calculated by formula: [(average value at first examination - average value at second examination)/standard deviation at first examination]. In the process of treatment all patients with tuberculosis of lungs attained significant amelioration of quality of life that was demonstrated in questionnaire of SF-36 by all components besides one that decreased its effectiveness. The size of alterations of quality of life according general value of CRQ was low and amounted to 0.27. The Saint George hospital questionnaire (SGRQ) had maximal sensitivity to positive alterations resulting of applied treatment (effect size 0.39-0.49 for components and 0.47 for total value). Therefore, it was recommended as a tool of evaluation of quality of life in patients with tuberculosis in processes of implementing treatment.
