The present investigation is devoted to the development of the pain syndrome in endometriosis patients. 150 women with a genital endometriosis of the reproductive age were investigated. On the base of the correlative analysis a high level of dependence between the pain syndrome severances, level of peroxidation (malonic dialdehyde) and level immune depression was revealed. Inflammation reaction (DTH) takes a significant role in the pain syndrome in endometriosis. Severance of the endometriosis development is not defined by the spreading stage, it is defined by the pain syndrome severance, which correlates with the anxiety level and depression and has extra-organic features.

The objective: to study the prevalence of ovarian endometriosis in women of reproductive age, the features of clinical and ultrasound picture of endometriosis. Patients and methods. The study involved 22 patients with endometriomas, the control group – 50 women gynecological and somatically healthy. Results. The incidence of ovarian endometriomas in the structure of benign tumor-like formations of ovaries is 0.62%. In 72.73% of ovarian endometriomas occur on a background of concomitant gynecological pathology. Clinically, in 77.27% of cases there is a pain syndrome, in 59.09% – algomenorrhea, in 13.64% – infertility; 18.18% of cases endometriomas remain «dumb» and proceed with the erased clinical picture. Sonologically in patients with endometriomas adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia, changes in the contralateral ovary are determined. Conclusion. Without additional methods of diagnostic gynecological examination may identify the 3 cm tumor-like formation of the ovary with different characteristics, which does not allow to differentiate endometrioma from inflammation, functional and ovarian tumors. Ultrasound can diagnose pathological ovarian formation of 1 cm, detailing the nature of the cyst. Key words: endometriosis, reproductive age, retrospective analysis, ultrasound.

Pelvic pain syndrome associated with adenomyosis is a common disease in women of reproductive age. Frequency of detection in the population varies from 10 to 53%. The aim - to study the clinical and anamnestic risk factors of pelvic pain, with adenomiose. Materials and methods. The study included 120 (n=120) patients with diffuse adenomyosis with pain and painless form of the disease who underwent examination and treatment in the gynecological Department of the Central clinical hospital №6 of Russian Railways in Moscow. Each patient was provided with an individual card, which was encrypted 171 sign. The studied parameters reflected the passport and anthropometric data, information about education, social status, presence of occupational hazards, complaints, illness. Results. Burdened gynecological and somatic histories, manifested a low health index, a more pronounced hereditary a family history of neoplastic diseases are contributing factors, and high prevalence of postponed surgeries, chronic, long-term ongoing inflammatory processes of the pelvic organs to create a favorable background for the further progression of chronic pelvic pain syndrome in adenomiose.

This article examines the demographic situation in Dnipropetrovsk region and identifies the main demographic problems of the region , among which the most important are low fertility, reduced family size, high divorce rates and unregistered marriages, contimuing aging of the population, increased gender disproportion among the population, intra-regional and especially modern external migrations of the population, etc. The Dnipropetrovsk settlement system includes four industrial agglomerations: Dniprovsky-Kamianske, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol and Pavlohrad, where more than 83.5% of the region’s population lives , indicating a high level of urbanization of the territory. It was found that the dynamics of the population of the urban agglomerations of the Dnipropetrovsk region over the past 20 years has a tendency to progressive reduction: if in 1997 the size of the existing population amounted to 3,888.8 thousand people, in 2017it amounted to 3,227.5 thousand people. It is stated that the natural replenishment of the population provides a continuous change of generations, creating the quantitative boundaries of labour resources of urban agglomerations of Dnipropetrovsk region. The current state of migration processes in the agglomerations of Dnipropetrovsk region is caused by socio-economic and political problems. This has led to an increase in labour out-migration, which now has already become catastrophic, not only in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but throughout Ukraine. Negative consequences of this are the depopulation of cities and areas of agglomerations, the outflow of high quality labour potential (and in particular qualified labour), the collapse of families, rise in crime and corruption, etc. In general, it is established that the demographic aspect, due to natural and mechanical movements, has become a determining factor inthe formation of the labour resource situation and affects not only the process of replenishmnent itself, but also the structure of the economically active population. We present the general demographic features of the population's reproduction, in the urban agglomerations of Dnipropetrovsk region from 1997 to 2017; a decrease in the total population, a negative natural population growth (mortality rates will prevail over birth rates), aging of the population, which is reflected in an increase in the number of people aged 70, disproportion in the sexual structure of the population (prevalence of women), negative balance of migration and continuous outflow of inhabitants of reproductive age, especially to the countries of the European Union.

Scapular winging secondary to dorsal scapular nerve (DSN) damage is an underestimated condition. It is often caused by entrapment of the nerve due to a hypertrophic middle scalene muscle, or by stretching of the DSN during traumatic movements. The condition has also been attributed to myofascial pain syndrome of the rhomboids with entrapment of the DSN. The non-specific symptomatology reported by patients is often incorrectly diagnosed, and this can result in a high level of disability of the upper limb.A clinical case of misdiagnosed dorsal scapula entrapment is presented. Satisfactory shoulder function recovery, pain relief and reduction of disability were obtained after correct diagnosis of the condition and a comprehensive rehabilitation approach.

The aim: About 10% of socially active women of reproductive age suffer from endometriosis, is determined by the frequent occurrence of menstrual and reproductive functions disorders, and pelvic pain syndrome in patients. The difficulties of therapeutic treatment of chronic pain syndrome in external genital endometriosis (EGE) are associated with polymorphism of pain mechanisms, and delayed diagnosis and treatment. The aim of the study is to improve the effectiveness of the treatment of external genital endometriosis. Material and methods: We examined 60 female patients of reproductive age, 40 – with histologically verified diagnosis of external genital endometriosis and 20 healthy women. We used the following methods of examination: general clinical, instrumental, endoscopic, morphological, the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) to quantify pain, the Beck Depression Scale and the SF-36 questionnaire. Results: Before the treatment of patients with EGE, VAS scale scores indicated pain in 100% of patients, the indicators of depression and level of anxiety go beyond the normative. The results of the pre-treatment questionnaire indicated lower quality of life scores on the scales of physical and mental health components. As a result of treatment there was significant decrease in the manifestations of pain, depression and anxiety, with women receiving complex therapy (hormone therapy got antidepressants and non-drug correction methods). Сonclusions: Chronic pelvic pain syndrome associated with EGE and accompanied by an unfavorable psychological state, depressive states, anxiety symptoms, and psychosomatic disorders. New approaches to the treatment of clinical manifestations of EGE are needed, taking into account patients’ psycho-emotional status and the life quality analysis. We pathogenetically justified the use of drugs that affect the psychosomatic status of patients with EGE and showed that they could significantly improve the quality of life.

After criticism that the Millennium Development Goals overlooked violence, the fourth of the twelve goals proposed by the High Level Panel on the Post 2015 Development Agenda was to ‘build peace’. Despite the vague understanding of what ‘peace’ would actually mean within this agenda, the argument laid out is clear: the only types of violence prevention that have a significant role in the post-2015 agenda are those that are also instrumental to economic growth. This chapter explores the place of violence in the development stories of the BRICS countries. I highlight the kinds of violence that appear to be essential in order for current patterns of economic growth to continue.

Intracerebral haemorrhage is one of the uncommon initial CNS manifestations of choriocarcinoma in reproductive age group women. Disease is usually diagnosed by history, clinical examinations and investigations like CT scan of brain and chest, MRI of brain, USG, X-ray chest P/A view and high level of â-hCG in serum and CSF. Overall prognosis of this disease is generally good (80-90% long term survival with chemotherapy and radiotherapy). But intracranial metastasis has poor prognosis which comprises 3-28% of choriocarcinoma. Most intracranial metastasis occurs late in the course of disease but 20% experiences as first sign. Our patient is a teenager girl presented with convulsion and loss of consciousness. CT scan of brain revealed hemorrhage in right fronto-parietal region with ventricular extension, X-ray chest P/A view shows metastasis in mid zone of right lung, USG shows invasion in posterior myometrium and high concentration of serum â-hCG (273400 mUI/ ml) confirmed our diagnosis. This case report describes that the conservative treatment with radiotherapy and chemotherapy gives good outcome of with metastasic intracerebral haemorrhage with choriocarcinoma is rewarding with farther radio and chemotherapy. The automatic β-counting system plays a significant role in obtaining high-level reproducibility and reliability in conventional radiocarbon dating. I review here the results achieved by using the “Fully Automatic Radiocarbon Dating System” developed by Omoto (1982). Since setting up the system in 1981, I was able not only to save operator time in β counting, but also to obtain accurate dates with only minimal uncertainties. Another positive result was the introduction of the automatic voltage correction program, which produced excellent results for counting sample materials over a long period.

Bangladesh is a country having high density of population in the world. Its fertility rate ranges from 4.1 to 5.49 and life expectancy is 66years while the total fertility rate of Asia is 2.2 and life expectancy 70 years. This descriptive type of cross sectional survey was carried out among 240 married women of reproductive age from July to December, 2012 in some villages of Keranigonj, Upazila, Dhaka. 73(31%) were practicing some methods of contraception, while 167 (69%) were not using it. OCP (Oral Contraceptive Pill) was the commonest method of contraception followed by Condoms 12(5%), Injectable 12(5%), Implant 12(5%) & Tubectomy 6(3%). None was found using IUCD and Traditional method ( withdrawal, rhythm method ) and emergency contraceptive method. The use of contraceptive was more common in grand multipara (p<0.01), >35 years old ladies (p<0.05). Non users of contraceptives in this study were 167 (69%) and the major reason for the non use was intention to have more children 53(31.46%) followed by pressure from the husband 21(12.35%), prohibition by the religion 18 (10.9%) and desire for son 17 (10.11%). Among the 73 contraceptive users 38 (52%) experienced side effects with the use of contraceptives. The commonest side effects were menstrual irregularities 17(23.8%) followed by change in body weight 8(11.19%). Frequency of contraceptive use was found comparatively low among rural married women despite high level of awareness. Desire for larger family, religious concerns and fear of side effects were the main factors responsible for non users. Religious scholars must play their role in clarifying many aspects regarding contraceptives.
