The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance :mediation of  organizational learning and innovation ( Study in CV. Amigo Mangesti Utomo ). The research approach used is a type of empirical research, with data collection methods used by survey techniques, using a Likert scale in the survey with a rating interval between scores of 1-5, where score 1 indicates a very dissatisfied perception while score 5 indicates a very satisfied perception. The sample in this research is permanent employees (who work more than one year) in CV. Amigo Mangesti Utomo. The analysis method used to determine the relationship between variables is path analysis using the structural equation model (SEM) method and the AMOS program. The results of testing the hypothesis are as follows: 1. The variable of transformational leadership perception has a positive and significant effect on innovation, 2. The variable of transformational leadership perception has a positive and significant effect on innovation, 3. The variable of organizational learning perception shows results that have no significant effect on innovation, 4. Variable perception of organizational learning has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 5. Innovation variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.

Transformational leadership is a sustainable and exemplary form of leadership that liberates subordinates’ ideas, enables subordinates to view problems from a different perspective, helps adaptation to changing environments, and increases Human Resources Management effectiveness in public and service institutions. The effects of transformational leadership on organizational performance by means of knowledge management have been examined in this study on the northern Cyprus Security Forces. In addition, the study aims to analyze the relationships between transformational leadership, knowledge management, organizational performance, job satisfaction, organizational learning, and knowledge creation processes. The questionnaire was conducted in three different periods using a time-lag method, and data were collected from 1229 employees for this study. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (Lisrel 8.54). The findings of the research include 17 hypotheses that were supported, and 1 hypothesis that was not. In addition, it was determined that organizational learning, knowledge management, and job satisfaction mediate the effect of transformational leadership on organizational performance.

Job satisfaction is one of the keys to accomplish optimal performance. Therefore, conditioning the organization to create job satisfaction is very important. This study aims to prove that the optimization of employee performance can be achieved especially if the job satisfaction has been realized, using career development, competence, and compensation as indicators. This research method was descriptive-verification with the collection data using survey that sampling uses saturated sampling and analyzed using the Structural Equation Model. The object research was employees of the Regional Forestry Service work units of Central Sulawesi Province. The results proved that the job satisfaction was a very important factor in mediating (full mediating variables) the variables of career development, competence, and compensation in improving employee performance, which is indicated by a positive and significant effect. Furthermore, it was proven that the biggest contribution affecting employee performance was the variable job satisfaction, with career development contributes to the highest influence on job satisfaction, followed by competence, and compensation.   Keywords: Job satisfaction, career development, competence, compensation, and employee’s performance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of the co-alignment of structural variables on innovation, wherein Bogotá-based SMEs, belonging to the industrial, commercial and services sectors, were used as samples. Design/methodology/approach The study was conducted using a causal inference methodology and through the application of a structural equation model. Findings The results indicate that organizational structure has an influence on innovation, although this is true only for some variables and only when the analysis is performed separately. When performed under strategic co-alignment conditions, however, its influence becomes greater. Originality/value Organizational structure and innovation are determining factors of organizational performance. Although the strategic co-alignment theory has provided points of reference to understanding the phenomenon of organizational performance, there are still many gaps left to be filled. Additionally, it also requires empirical validation especially in relation to Colombian SMEs – and this is where this work makes a contribution.

Abstract Background Acute kidney injury is common in the surgical intensive care unit (ICU). It is associated with poor patient outcomes and high healthcare resource usage. This study’s primary objective is to help identify which ICU patients are at high risk for acute kidney injury. Its secondary objective is to examine the effect of acute kidney injury on a patient’s prognosis during and after the ICU admission. Methods A retrospective cohort of patients admitted to a Singaporean surgical ICU between 2015 to 2017 was collated. Patients undergoing chronic dialysis were excluded. The outcomes were occurrence of ICU acute kidney injury, hospital mortality and one-year mortality. Predictors were identified using decision tree algorithms. Confirmatory analysis was performed using a generalized structural equation model. Results A total of 201/940 (21.4%) patients suffered acute kidney injury in the ICU. Low ICU haemoglobin levels, low ICU bicarbonate levels, ICU sepsis, low pre-ICU estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and congestive heart failure was associated with the occurrence of ICU acute kidney injury. Acute kidney injury, together with old age (> 70 years), and low pre-ICU eGFR, was associated with hospital mortality, and one-year mortality. ICU haemoglobin level was discretized into 3 risk categories for acute kidney injury: high risk (haemoglobin ≤9.7 g/dL), moderate risk (haemoglobin between 9.8–12 g/dL), and low risk (haemoglobin > 12 g/dL). Conclusion The occurrence of acute kidney injury is common in the surgical ICU. It is associated with a higher risk for hospital and one-year mortality. These results, in particular the identified haemoglobin thresholds, are relevant for stratifying a patient’s acute kidney injury risk.
