Palabras clave: Formación Inicial Docente - Construcción de Conocimiento Profesional – Prácticas – Reflexión Profesional Abstract Teacher education processes have been heavily  influenced by application logic, as well as, to a fragmented and prescriptive vision of the nature of knowledge, instead of the construction of it. A teaching process based on the predominance of oral discourse, low practical work, and a limited relation with educational reality and context needs, has been  observed. It seems necessary to recognize student - teachers as knowledge subjects with whom there should be an active/reflective curricular activity, and also recognize the complexity of the processes that take place in the educational context. In other words, it is necessary to move from an instrumental, process/ product perspective towards an epistemological perspective able to recognize the dynamism in the educational system and the complexity of the social system in which it is immersed. Key Words: Initial Teacher Formation- Professional Knowledge Construction- Practicum- Professional Reflection

As transgender individuals receive more attention nationwide, it is only a matter of time before increased numbers of transgender educators seek placement in teacher education programs, and eventually, employment as teachers. Given the high levels of discrimination against transgender individuals historically, it is reasonable that P–12 school leaders and educator preparation programs (EPPs) would seek to proactively determine obstacles that may exist when placing transgender teacher candidates (and future employees) in schools for field experiences. The researchers for this study engaged in a qualitative approach, interviewing 14 school leaders in seven different districts on their attitudes regarding field placement and possible hiring of transgender teacher candidates. Emerging themes noted that while school leaders expressed an appreciation for diversity, they believed the presence of a transgender teacher candidate would stimulate resistance in their local communities. Further comments by participants indicated a need for training to provide leaders with guidance on navigating these issues, as well as training to better understand the transgender experience.

The objective of the present article consists of the analysis of the new paradigms of the holistic education and its repercussions on higher education defined by the complexity and multidisciplinary. In this sense it is argued that a holistic approach can serve as an active help in the teaching of complexity from a critical and reflexive approach supported by new paradigms. After the relation complex thought and the holistic perspective in learning with the dimension thinking mind, feeling mind and intuitive mind in education, we design the possibility of figuring out learning curricular designs rationally from the theoretical reflection where the new contents and subject matters are outstanding as well as the theory based on the praxis which leads to identify social processes through the construction of theory from objective reality. We conclude by formulating from the philosophical perspective and the reality conception methodically three types of integrated and simultaneous professional formations from which professionals in formation acquire knowledge, cross demonstrable practices and values during all their formation. Palabras claves: Pensamiento complejo, educación holística, cerebro triuno afecto, rediseño curricular. Keywords: Complex thought, holistic education, triune brain, curricular redesign.

In the initial teacher education scenario, the supervised internships are considered as privileged spaces for the teacher’s professional development, while a reflexive practice is one of the paradigms that guide this formation. Hence, a significant part of the formation of a future professional lies on the university professor who takes the responsibility for the orientation of these practices. In this context, this study has the objective to identify and analyze how professors at the beginning of their career paths, who have just taken the role of supervising the practices, conceive and deal with their mentoring role and with the function of orienting reflexive practices in the education of trainee teachers. Eight professors from different teacher training courses in the Science Education area at a public federal university in Brazil have participated in this case study, where semi-structured interviews and content analysis were used as the main techniques. The results have suggested that, for one group of these professors, the reflection would have a transformative and critical function over their practices and their professional contexts. On the other hand, for the other group, the teacher’s mentoring role seemed to present a more pragmatic preoccupation, as well as the function and the way to conduct this reflection. While they are moving towards accomplishing their role as teacher mentors, other factors also show some influence in building their identities. Regarding the field of teacher education and the professionalization of education, this study has pointed out to some paths towards which it is possible and necessary to advance and it may contribute to leave teaching from a critical and reflexive orientation as a heritage for the next generations.

ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the perception of alumni from a nursing course which uses active learning methods about their insertion in the job market. Methods: descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, carried out through 17 interviews with alumni from 2012 and 2014. The analysis took place using Dialectic Hermeneutics, as subsidized by the theoretical framework of the Theory of Complexity. Results: the statements of the alumni showed aspects related to safety to act in the job market, to stimulating proactivity and initiative for learning as proposed by the active method, to difficulties in teamwork, and to the lack of experience in certain specialized fields. Final Considerations: there are advances and challenges marked by contradictions in the way the alumni act and think as they enter the job market, which is an inherent condition to processes of change, from the perspective of complex thinking.

Their justifications derive from the need to discuss and understand issues that show the still incipient character of this process. Initially, the concept of institutionalization, its uses, dimensions and perspectives of analysis of the processes to which it refers were presented. The labyrinthine and unfinished institutionalization of teaching in the early years of basic schooling in Brazil was recovered to highlight the complexity of this process. To analyze it with respect to teacher education for professional education, its limits and possibilities, we sought to interact with four perspectives of analysis: the theoretical, the formal, the practical and the substantive. This last view as amalgam of others for bringing the fundamental values of pedagogical practice committed to social emancipation. Keywords: Teacher formation. Professional education. Church-affiliated universities operate with increasingly complex roles and functions when engaging with multiple stakeholders in the provision of higher education. This article asks how to understand and analyse the interactions when these universities are among the multiple stakeholders in Christian teacher education. What frameworks of analysis or tools of evaluation can be employed? Stakeholder theory is shown to support the identification of various community interests and involvements and enable clarification of whose perspective or priorities are to be taken into account. From a recent UK research case study, the need for greater understanding and management of stakeholder interests and activity within Christian teacher education is highlighted.

In this work, we tried to answer the following question: What are the approximations and the distances of the teacher formation proposal present in the Political Educational Projects (PPP) of the Undergraduate Courses in Chemistry and Physics of an interior campus of a federal university in northeast to Education for Ethnic–Racial Relations (Erer)? Thus, this article aims to analyze the PPP of the mentioned courses and Erer insertion on them. From a qualitative approach, we analyzed data collected by Documental Analysis and Interviews. It was possible to verify that the analyzed PPP do not contemplate the relation between education and cultures and, more specifically, they do not propose the insertion of Erer. The results pointed to the need of Erer guidelines implement in these courses and, more broadly, in the various institutional actions, such as teaching, research and extension.

The research focuses on the reformulation of undergraduate courses in universities in the state of Parana, Brazil. The research problem arises in the context of reformulations in the courses of teacher formation, the undergraduate courses encouraged by the demands of current educational policies for these courses, with the following questions: What changes to current policies of teacher education were produced in the organization of undergraduate courses? The overall objective was to analyze the reformulations of the undergraduate courses in relation to established priorities and the implications to the professional development of teachers indicating the tensions caused in this process and to indicate alternatives that contribute to the improvement of basic teacher education. The methodology of the study considers the assumptions of the theory as practice of expression, performs the analysis of educational legislation, organization of curriculum matrices of undergraduate courses at universities in the State of Parana and includes interviews with coordinators and teachers from the course. Results show that the courses differ in the composition of the curriculum matrices in each of the institutions examined, as for example: the organization of the curriculum regarding the disciplines that are part of it; sorting the disciplines; the number of hours of each discipline; the design of the training process; the apprenticeship supervision processes. This means that the tensions and priorities generated at each university in the constitution of the identity of the undergraduate courses are disparate from the proceedings in which these courses are instituted because of the institutional clashes priorities. The performed reformulations extend the amount of teaching time for teaching practice, starting from the first year of the course, in the form of professional practice and in the final years the completion of supervised practice. However, the university remains far removed from the elementary school, the academic disciplines do not articulate these practices. It is noteworthy that the undergraduate courses in Brazil have been the subject of debates and proposals, since the 1.980s. Key words: teacher education, undergraduate courses, professional development.
